Female Halfling Bard 1 Init +2, Perception +7; F +1, R +5, W +4; +2 vs fear; HP 8/8

Pansy continues searching the crowd, beginning to wonder if this contact was just a fakeout, or is for real.

Why, that little opportunist! Pansy thought as she watched the skinny urchin snatch the dangling belt pouch. She started in his direction, but stopped herself before she'd moved more than a hand. Ordinarily, I'd be more interested in stopping him, but with this crowd not only would that be difficult, but it might stir up the already restless people enough to cause a real problem. Besides, if that merchant is carrying much money on him in this crowd, maybe he needs to be taught a lesson. She watched the child, no bigger than she, slip away and disappear in the crowd.

Glancing at the sun to judge the time, Pansy decided she might as well get something to eat while the crowd was still relatively calm and nothing had really started yet in terms of organized activity for the protest. She hunted down a meat pie vendor she knew, bought two meat pies and dove into one right away. The other she wrapped in her handkerchief and tucked it inside her vest for later. As soon as she finished swallowing the last bite, she resumed her search for the person with one glove. She was beginning to despair; there were so many people in the park and it was so large.

As a bard, Pansy spends a lot of time in taverns, and picks up many interesting rumors.

During her wanderings, Pansy saw a tall female half-orc searching the crowd. That must be the one I heard rumors of who always hangs around that Hellknight. Wow, those guys at the tavern didn't quite do her justice. She is magnificent! And I probably come up to her knees. She giggled to herself. I think I'm glad she isn't wearing just one black glove! I'd be hesitant to approach. Back to the search...

Pansy wanders through the various groupings, weaving her way through the people, avoiding pickpockets, continuing to search for Mr. "One Black Glove" and wincing occasionally as an overly enthusiastic singer hits a wrong note. She mentally checks the placement of her sling and dagger at her belt, and casually rests her hand on the pommel of her rapier. She wants to be ready for action, but not the cause of it. She is also starting to get hungry, even though it is only mid-morning, and the odors coming from the food carts are quite tempting.

She is wandering through the entire area from E1 to J28 as she looks for her contact.

Oops. Good point about not recognizing her as half-elf.

Pansy is a lively little halfling, almost always humming a tune and her walk more closely resembles a dance than a sedate ambulation. Her hair today is a dark brown with bright yellow and orange ribbons wound through it. You never know what color it will be tomorrow! Most halflings try very hard to blend into the crowd and be unnoticed, but Pansy comes from a very flamboyant family, and has been raised to be supremely self-confident and unafraid. She has also been taught some fighting skills just in case someone takes exception to this colorful little flower. She makes her living primarily through telling stories and singing songs in taverns and small theaters, and has a small but loyal following.

As they wandered around the park a bit, checking out the scene, Pansy looked over at Fredrick. "I think we should separate - we can cover more ground that way looking for this guy. I'll head over towards the Opera House, why don't you cover the back half here? If all else fails, we can meet over by that rock," pointing towards a large boulder with a half-elf perched on it, "in half an hour or so." After Fredrick agreed, Pansy moved toward the Opera House, keeping her eyes open, looking for the contact and any possible trouble erupting. As she moved, she hummed a little tune to herself while making up a ditty as she went about the irony of the new mayor taking up residence in the Opera House. Could he be an actor in costume? Or playing a part? I know he isn't really, but it is kind of funny. This will make a great song if I can just get that rhyme right...

How is this? For the rest of you, this is what I typed in the Classes/Levels box of my profile:

Yeah, I only meant that if we were running ahead and someone didn't post that was okay. GM should totally post for someone who is late (relative to agreed upon deadline, not accelerated posting) so as not to hold up the whole group.

First and foremost, thank you for the maps. I am a visual person, and I think they will really help.

Personally, I like the idea of one large group with smaller teams doing missions. My only reservation at this point is how (if at all) that will affect the leveling process. As I recall, the campaign books are designed to get players to a specific level before going on to the next book.

For posting timeframes - what does everyone think about generally 3 times per week (M-W-F), but posts while in combat happening at least once a day (they are usually much shorter and don't take long to write).

Also, if everyone does post early, the GM can move ahead and make her post so that we have the possibility (but NOT the requirement) of going a little faster. Going faster than the agreed-upon number of posts is strictly up to the situation and the moment, and we make an agreement that NO ONE is ever to be slighted or made to feel guilty if they can't post sooner. Real life is more important than the game. Really! :)

This is just a test :) Bonnie's character for the game.
