Sir Bronwyn Raslov wrote:

The drunkards and old fools both., Bronwyn quickly replies before returning to Oleg.

Either of those will do fine. Also pop open a couple of casks of ale so everyone will have something to drink.

"Certainly, your Baron." he smiles as she heads off to fetch a few casks of ale and get this celebration started. Of course during the toast you all forgot one thing. You named your kingdom, but what shall the name of the captical city be? "Stagsfall" Oleg suggests, with an apporoving smile from Kressel and Akiros.

Sir Bronwyn Raslov wrote:

As Oleg approaches, Bronwyn finishes his ale and nods to the heavyset man at the distance. He drops a parting comment to Ganit before leaving:

An old man told me once to let bygones be bygones. I took that council to heart and now I'm a baron who's to be married soon. If only that fool would hear his own advice he would make a lotta lives better, if not his own then his family's and loved ones, including a couple of young women.

The bard then rests the mug on the bar and turns to the burly innkeeper.

Oleg, my good old man, tell me quick and tell me true; what's the best beverage you have in stock? I'll take it!

Oleg smiles, greeting you all. The young woman gets Ganit's drink for him and gives a smile.

"The name is Saki. Ask for me whenever you're free." she gives a wink to Ganit before heading back to do her work.

Oleg nods to Bron's request and thinks hard.
"I did get my hands on something for such an occassion. How does Dwarven Stout sound to you? Or maybe the bottle of wine imported from Kyronin? I have a keg of the stout if you want." he suggests, not minding serving either. Both are quite pricy.

Jameson Addercop IV wrote:

Jameson continues to watch the festivities, unmoved by the harp and evaluating the combat worthiness of the visitors. After a short time he seeks out Oleg.

"Oleg, we'll be heading North for a short time, just Ganit and myself, to get some more exotic supplies. Is there anything you need that the regular merchants don't have?"

Oleg scratches his head as he searches his mind.

"Nothing I can think of. We get enough supplies but I hope we can help you develope the nation when you return and start building. I'm ready to start looking over the treasury and can run this place at the same time too." he states as he looks over the supplies they've been building up.

Forgot, did we ever Resolve if Jameson has gotten the Mithral armour? Also I'm sure he'd want to buy some mithral barding for his horse sometime.

Carina Stigard wrote:

To Oleg: Good to see you are doing well. Business appears to be very good.

So tell me, what made you decide to set up shop here on the wild frontier? It is a nice location, but not that close to the forest or the rivers. Would you consider moving if a town were established somewhere further south?

"Well, we always wanted to live far from civilisation, but not so far as to lose it's benefits so once I found there was a charter to rebuild and fix up this old trading post I went for it." he says it simply, showing that he's quite happy in the position he's in. "We make enough to make ends meat, but since you have arrived merchants have become a little more interested in wanting to supply the heroes of the greenbelt with items, but we have a quite life until those blasted bandit attacked and stole what little I had." he fists tighten, but then he laughs as he looks at the nearby Stag Helm. "But they won't be a problem no more. All other bandits usually stay in the shadows or run at the first sign of Kesten's armour, but we have had some interesting looking customers, one was a young woman with a veil covering her eyes. Never removed it the entire time she was here, but I don't know why. You heroes attract strange people, you know that?" he asks half-jokingly.

"Sorry I didn't welcome ye. I was double checking the rot in the wall, but with all the trade we've been getting this place is as good as it will ever be." Oleg smiles to the group, clearly greatful after everything that has happened.

including the boost from Tomorrow, Oleg will be able to trade in 1051 gp, 2 sp, 9 cp

"Don't worry about the Venison, Telias. We've been getting more interested merchants since the bandits 'ere have left us alone, for now." he says, though there is a obvious look of concern on his face. "The local kobolds and mites have starts up fights again't eachother. God's know why. Could be arguing over who's the worse smellin' or most ugly."

"Over here Telias." Oleg calls over exiting the small tavern area of the outpost. "The warriors of the greenbelt have made names for themselves. They have arrested many of the bandits that were plagueing me and brought the heads of local Tatzlwyrms."

Carina Stigard wrote:

I discuss his offer for the other two heads as well with the rest of the group.

Who are these Taldan explorers you speak of? I had not heard of them before. And if there be gold in them thar hills, we'll be the one ta find it. I give him a wicked grin.

"They were here centuries ago. They were the one that build the temple you discovered for Jhod." he smiles and shakes his head "They attempted to settle these lands, but the trolls and other monsters drove them out. To drive out all the settlers the monsters they faced must've been fierce."

Hmm...now you're asking. Perhaps pay a extra 600 for both heads that he could get some collectors interested in or have the trophy to instead have all three heads.

"Oh, I also heard about the Taldan explorers. It's said that they had a abundence of supplies here. Some even claim that there is gold out there in those hills and many other resources. Might be good to find and map out these areas if the swordlords wish to develope this area as I hear that they wish to do."

Carina Stigard wrote:

I ask Oleg if there are any new rumors or rewards heard about the area. Also, does he recall any rumors a week or two back about a unicorn far to the south.

Diplomacy(gather info): 1d20+4

In addition, I discuss whether he might be interested buying one of the dragon heads. If he got it stuffed, it would look really good over the mantle - think about it, one of the first trophies from the adventures of the Heros of the Stolen Lands.

Don't know if this would be a Diplomacy or an Appraise roll, I will roll Appraise, if it is diplomacy, just subtract one from the total.

Appraise: 1d20+5

"I heard there used to be a man who guarded a bridge down to the south east over the Shrike river. Bandits recently destroyed it and I heard one man claim the one who used to look after the bridge, Davik Nettles haunts the bridge and kills anyone who approches." he shakes his as he says this. "I've 'eard many rumours here, but a man rising from the dead for vengence? It's probably the bandits scarin' people off or those damn fey playing a trick."

There was already a poster up mentioning the reward. Look at the campain info where I leave all info about quests. He wanted a single head for a conversational peice whenever the hunters would arrive. 900 gold for a reletively undamaged head.

Jameson Addercop IV wrote:
"I too have some items I would like to purchase from you Oleg. Most of my list is fairly standard Same as Discussion list but I am wondering about a suit of platemail. Specifically I am looking for a finely crafted suit, but I cannot afford it yet. I would like to deposit some money with you, and when I finally have enough I will purchase the armor from you. How does that sound?"

"That's acceptable. I trust you will pay back the rest when you return. There are some skilled armour smiths the merchants trade with." he smiled towards Jameson. "So I'll put you down for masterworked full plate?"

"I've been stacking up on arrows just in case you needed them and other things you may require so have all the stock for you." he smiles, glad to see you all in taking business in here. "I'll be glad to be rid of Jhod. He's not a bad man, but he continues on about Erestil that we'll finally have some peace." he laughed with a kindly smile before a incoming flying radish hits him in the back of the head, obviously from Svetlana and he grasps the back of his head in pain. "Though, my wife followed old deadeye." he chuckled when saying this.

Carina Stigard wrote:
I ask Oleg if he has, or can procure a book on the arcane arts? I want to study this since it is apparently my destiny.

Oleg will get in contact with a few merchants but it'll take about a week to get it and you'll need to pay for it in advance whilst he gets in contact with merchants.

Oleg arrives and notices the cart and the stock, recognising the crates immediately.
"Welcome back! I see you found my supplies." Oleg points to the cart, referencing the boxes of furs and liquare. "I'm surprise they didn't take it to their staglord, where ever he is."

At that point Kressel smirks.
"If you do run into the staglord, you'll never kill him. His head is that of a Elk and he has killed people more powerful thank you." she laughs with a smirk. "Once he finds out what's happened this trading post will be burnt to cinders."

Jameson Addercop IV wrote:

"Tell me Oleg, would you have any barding I could purchase for Donal? I have heard that these Stolen Lands can be quite nasty for the unprepared and I'd not want my friend injured. How much feed and trail rations do you stock? I've no idea how long we'll be out but I'd rather not run short of food if I can help it."

"I don't stock barding unfortunately, but I have been looking out for adventuring equipment and I can order the barding but it'll take a week to get here through my contacts." Oleg admits but smiles as he then continues "I stock piles of rations and feed for you to buy. I do have a stables afterall so I have all the basic horse equipment."

"Welcome everyone. Ya didn't run into those bandits, did ya?" he asks as he serves up the drinks. "I recently got a wand of cure light wounds off a hunter. It has only twenty charges, but I thought you guys might want it. It's yours for 300 gold."

Seeing Sir Bronwyn he smiles warmly at his welcome.
"It makes me proud to see a noble willing to help us out in this struggle. You are a great man." he says this, accepting the hug with him and laughing happily as he returns to the bar. He seems a lot more happier and you can see Svetlana cleaning up a preperation area where Moon Radishes had been cut up for soup. It seems to have brightened Oleg's mood.

Current Map

Darkness decends as you continue to map out the area, making sure to fully map the wooded area before heading back to Oleg's where you are greeted warmly.

"You were all gone for the day, I was 'fraid you were attacked by the creatures of the Stolen Lands." he smiles to you all as he goes out to greet you as you arrive. "Did you discover anything of interest?" Oleg asks as he is curious due to the many mysteries he head from hunters about what they have seen in the Stolen Lands.

Lukan Swane "Swaney" wrote:
Lukan watches them repairing the catapult and frowns a little. He know how expensive it can be to repair seige engines and the repair of this fort must be costing Oleg a fortune. "Oleg, you wouldn't happen to have a breastplate lying around here that would fit me? If not, would you please order me one?" he says as he plops a large bag of coins in the propierter's hands. 208GP "Thank you." he replies as he gathers his things and heads towards Jhod Kavken.

"I have one right here." he smiles towards Lukan and takes 200 gp for the armour. "It'll take some time to replenish some stock but I should be able to meet all your demands over the time you are out here in the Greenbelt."

Lukan Swane "Swaney" wrote:

Lukan works dilligently with Oleg to repair the roof. He doesn't say all that much, but every so often he speaks up.

"I want to thank you for your hospitality. And I apologize for the brutality earlier. These men must be made aware the consequences of their actions, else they will continue to ravage these lands."

A few minutes pass, each man hammering away at their own seperate pace, before Lukan speaks again,

"So, Oleg, if you were to explore the Greenbelt where would you go first?"

"And is there anything we should be aware of?"

Oleg smiles as he works with Lukan.

"Glad you can help and there's no need to thank me. You all helped free me and Svetlana of those Bandits." he smiled towards him and continues to hammer, whiping sweat from his brow from the hard work whilst he was asked this question. "Not sure. If you were to find Bokken you might be able to get some potions from him, but he is a little...odd." he trails off finishing his last tile off. "Svetlana doesn't see it as that big off a loss, but I will do anything to get her ring back. If you and your groupd manage to find her ring I'll give you 1500 gold coins for it."

Oleg shakes his head at the fighting, but doesn't say a word as he does not wish to re-ignite a debate.
"So...as I was saying. What are your plans tomorrow? Wooded areas are south west of here, but grasslands are to the east and south-east. There are also some grassland to the west too." he gives a suggestion, hoping that'll give the group a good idea of where they might want to go. "Now that I've finished my meal I need to fix a patch job on the building so none of you wake up with rain water landing in your face." Oleg leaves, but not before giving Svetlana a kiss on the cheek and then heading outside where you can hear the hammering of him working on the roof again.

Svetlana smiles to the group once Oleg has gone and then puts her bowl down.
"Be careful when you enter these lands. I've heard stories of large beasts and the notices on the board there support my fear for your safety." she points to the board before finishing her meal and leaving for the rest of you to continue your meal.

Lukan Swane "Swaney" wrote:

Lukan's military mind wants to put the bandit down, "He is too much of a risk. If Kressel gets to him, I fear we wont be able to control him. The only way I'd let him live with these fine people is if there was someone here to protect them."

Lukan turns to Oleg questioningly, "You mentioned something earlier about a detachment being sent here to protect you from the bandits. When do you expect them?"

"I recieved a message not that long ago from a travelling hunter that they were sending some armed support, however the letter did mention some adventures coming down and that you could well be of use defending the outpost. Clearly they were right." he laughed and smiled. "It is peaceful out here though. Away from Restlov and it's politics...not like I didn't enjoy living in Brevoy." he quickly added the last part to his statement. "I have no idea when they will arrive, but I was told that they should soon. Besides, the ex-bandit has nowhere to go. If he goes into the stolen lands he'll either be eaten or the bandits will catch him and punish him, but if he goes north there's a good chance he might've come from there origonally and be arrested for his past deeds. In my opinion he has everything to lose." Oleg shrugs his shoulders giving his opinion.

Svetlana makes sure to set out bowls of stew with the choice of vegtable stew as Ganit wanted.
"I wish I had some moon radishes. I apologise if the vegtables aren't that good, but we don't get many travellers here." she smiles meekly but Oleg comforts her with a arm over her shoulders.

"Just like the first time you cooked for me precious, it's wonderful." he smiled as comforts her and looks back to the group. "So, what are your plans? We'll be glad to supply you and I will always have items for sale when you return. Also, here's an additional reward for helping us take care of these bandits." he hands over a potion of shield of faith +2 and a purse of 50 gold coins. "We're happy yo put you all up for free in our guest house and free meals. We owe you all a lot for ridding us of these cowards and I doupt they'll try anything for some time where-ever they are."

Lukan:

no it's no problem. I was just up late that time, that's all. Also I do occassionally miss the odd instruction here and there, but that's my fault from skim-reading.

"I-It's hidden in the forest. F-Far to the south! K-K-Kressel is there and she'll have my hide!" he claims and he seems terrorfied to utter the name Kressel. "Th-There's twelve of 'em! W-W-We go on sh-shifts. I have never met the Stag Lord, b-but Kressel...she speaks of him as if he owns the lands. I'll d-do anything, j-just don't kill me or send me back to Kressel."

At this point Oleg Interviens.

"Me and Svetlana were sent here to repair and set up this trading post. You could release him to our care to help with the work here, but it's up to you what you do with him." he suggests to the group off-handedly.

Ganit fires his new bow and the arrow pins the bandit to the door by the throat with him hanging on there.

End of combat. They're all dead so anyone want to announce to Oleg? I'll have a breakdown of the equipment below.

** spoiler omitted **

Oh question what about the horses? will we have access to them?

yeah, once they've calmed down they're ready to ride. They're not really intelligent creatures and you can claim them as your own.

Oleg appears shocked at Ganit's attitude that he gives him.
"I'm not psychic lad!" he shouts out angrily. "Look, I'm sorry for not knowing how many of them arrived, but I have a few potions here. For the mistake take these two. One for each as an apology and I do have a few more for sale from a mad-man named Bokken. He lives somewhere in the Stolen Lands but I have no idea where he lives."

As the doors remain open Oleg makes sure to wait out in the open for the coming group. The man in charge of the six men appears to have a smirk across his face as he enters the trading post.

DM:

Happs: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Bandit 1: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (18) + 0 = 18
Bandit 2: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (5) + 0 = 5
Bandit 3: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (1) + 0 = 1
Bandit 4: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (10) + 0 = 10
Bandit 5: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 6
Bandit 6: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (2) + 0 = 2

Happs smirks as he gets off his horse and walks over to Oleg
"I see ya seem to be gettin' used ta the tribute, eh old oleg?" he smirks as he looks at Oleg but Oleg shakes his head.

"I'm not that much older than you, boy." he narrows his eyes not liking being talked to like this, but putting up with it just to get the jump on these bandits. "Actually I recently came into possession of a old elven wisky. I thought Kressel might want it to enjoy it so that I won't have to see you're ugly mug around here for a while." the other bandits laughed, but Happs narrowed his eyes as he leared at them and they quietened down as Oleg left to get the "wisky".

Oleg's

As you see I put the main NPC his own token whilst the plebs are simple copy-paste images. It's so that if someone wants to aim particilarly at the leader then it's easy to distinguish between him and the others. You'll all get a surprise round action and then I'll roll initiative for you all and post up the start of the first proper round. Remember, all the enemies are flatfooted too. You can use a full-round action to close the doors and trap the bandits in.

Is AH 35 ok for my caster?

"Gods be with us this day. I shall take a position on the walls?"

He asks the nearest party member.

Well you'll be on a ledge so you'd need to roll for stealth not to be noticed when they arrive.

Oleg's Tradingpost

Just checking before starting up the combat so we have any last minute corrections. Say if there's anywhere else you'd perfer to be. Tell me if I'm incorrect where I've played you or if you'd perfer somewhere else. If you're fine, be sure to tell me so I know who I may or may not be waiting on to confirm the placement. Oh and Zayne, you can be a distance from your Eidolon, within reason. It's not specified, but I believe as long as you two aren't something like a mile or two away you'll be fine, but it is nice roleplaying with wanting to be close to the Eidolon. Plus I gave you a male supposid half-elf picture, the token behind Drakor as you didn't have one, but everyone else should be able ot recognise their portraits.

Oleg takes a glance out of the trading post with his spyglass.
"They're on their way. Get into posion and we'll see if this works. I will give the signal saying I'm getting some rare wisky for Kressel, but where do you want me to stand whilst I wait for them?" he asks making sure to leave the doors open as from experience the bandits are less roudy when the doors are already open to greet them. "Svetlana will be inside so that she's safe when the fighting starts."
