There are those who call me... Nym? And there are those who know our story of this adventure.
The story, briefly:
We were 5 Pathfinders, two of which had the honour of being Venture-Captains. Namely:
- Venture-Captain Bishop Shephard (Ranger)
- Jayne Munny (Gunslinger/Inquisitor)
- Hayato (Martial class mix, not to be confused with the pregen)
- Venture-Captain KULIK (Inquisitor)
- Nymathor the Enchanter (Wizard, duh)
I will say that this series was definitely a struggle for us, but we made it with only two deaths and one Breath of Life return. Yeah, it was messy.
When the assassin murdered KULIK outright and then suggested a parlay... well, we were all out of goodwill. So he died, and none of us feel any particular remorse.
As for Torch, well... Vahlo had been a real drain on us. Not only did KULIK die again (he really focused on the Venture-Captains), but the graveknight turned him into a morhg! That made a battlefield Raise Dead (using Limited Wish) impossible. So when Torch faced us we were ragged. One of us wanted to put a bullet in him (the PC had been Shadow Lodge), but we collectively agreed to not walk off that ledge.
Everyone accepted and joined the Decemvirate. That's a lot of new leaders!
Worth noting: TOZ was my GM. There are no punches pulled with him!
Lastly this is, officially for me, the last PF1 scenario I will play. Story-wise, it's quite the milestone for my playing career.

Nym examines the precise spellcasting and nods. "In short, we stopped the traitor Decemvirate member. They were Vahlo Huovar, and they were a graveknight. Their helm had become part of the armor, so to end Vahlo we had to destroy it. By the way, all it takes is having 5 people put it on, one after the other. So... keep that in mind."
"We also dealt with an assassin who slew KULIK. We brought the Venture-Captain back with a scroll, but Vahlo saw fit to slay him and then turn him into a morhg. We will need a cleric to bring him back."
"Finally, did see Torch. Or should I say Ven Lorovox. He actually helped us against Vahlo, and is the reason why we knew how to destroy the artifact. He lives, and I think that is for the best," Nym pauses in thought. "There is another artifact though, a blade that Vahlo wielded, which I would like to study. Depending on its nature I may see to destroying it."

Nym takes a deep, exhausted breath. "I admit I've had little to do with your Shadow Lodge, or even many interactions. But I can see you've made mistakes. Costly ones. And you know this. It's your path now to deal with the consequences, but you can't do that dead. So yes, I say you live. You should leave, and perhaps find a community in need that has your skills. I hear the outer planes are lovely this time of year."

"A pretty big one, I would say. The assassin slew KULIK and nearly did so to Bishop as well. A powerful, deadly miscalculation that nearly derailed our ability to stop Vahlo," Nym says, not at all gently.
He then looks over to what's left of KULIK. "Our friend has had a very rough day."

Nym grimaces at the idea of wearing the helm. "Would throwing it into a volcano not suffice? Or is the artifact immune somehow? I admit that I wish to study it, but not in the presence of a graveknight. The rules of magic always seem to bend for artifacts, and in this case we have two such items."
The wizard lands next to Munny, looking over drained gunslinger. "You need a cleric. Or similar magic."

Nym completes his summoning, and with a popping noise a creature appears: a lillend azata!
The azata sees the graveknight, face grim. She looks then to Nym. "I think I see the problem. Allow me to inspire you all to heights of greatness."
With a nod, the enchanter says, "Thank you. My companions need healing too."
An inspirational song fills the air as the planar creature sings, flying towards the danger.

Nym is rocked by the magical blast, and blinks as he sees himself on the ground. Gingerly the enchanter stands up, brushing off some grass and dirt from his robes. He hears a blast from Munny's weapon, and sighs. "I couldn't have been so lucky that this would be over, of course."
He then takes flight, arcing over the wall and back into view of the others. From afar he spies the helm, as well as the lightning form that occupied it and holds the sword. Uncertain of whatever magic is forming, the wizard once more draws energy from his rod to release a second cloud of glitter over their foe!

He then realizes what's happened: the helm is part of the graveknight armor. "The helm also needs to be destroyed, or he'll continue to regenerate!"

Seeing the daemon freeze up, Nym wastes no time to relish the moment. He calls to Munny, "Show me where he is," and then readies to cast a spell.

"The assassin is dead, has is his lackey. We did get some information though, thanks to a clever use of magic from Munny," Nym says, recounting everything that occurred since the inquisitor died.

"We will need to be quick. The 'troll' will likely regenerate to a conscious state soon, and will try to break through the ice dome I conjured. And that dome will only last a little over 15 minutes."
Nevertheless, he flies down, drawing a wand and expending a charge to heal Bishop. The magic gives him an uncomfortable feeling, but slowly does its job. Infernal Healing on Bishop.

Earlier... "Flight and invisibility?" he says to Bishop. "There are magical items that you could procure. This ring grants me invisibility. The perpetual flight is perhaps misleading. It lasts me most of the day, and is a spell I can cast. Though I do know of a particularly potent chain armor that has some temporary flight magic built into its links. It's notable in that it glows with a celestial energy. I would be happy to talk more about it after we address the issues at hand."
Now... "I can fix the gate once our problems at hand are dealt with," Nym reports. "My first mentor to the Society, Janira Gavix, is perhaps one. We also apprehended and bound several thieving knaves, though I don't know that they could add more. Perhaps?"
