Baer whirls her staff, facing down the closest wererats. "Stay out of this, or you will regret it," she states to Phillip.

Baer nods curtly at Mavor's instructions, and stands aside and ushers the wererats to pass her. She will encourage as many to pass her into the corridor as she can, even giving them a gentle push out the door. When it's clear that no more will go, she follows into the corridor and blocks the way, going full defense with her staff.
