Special Equipment Mask of the Ancestors - +2 Perception and Survival

Appearance:
Nine Tail is a young Tian man standing 5"6". His hair and beard are neatly trimmed. He wears a silk robe over his chain shirt armor. His arms are covered in an assortment of tattoos that stop at his wrists. His back when exposed is rear perspective of a large nine-tailed fox. He wears sandals that seem to allow him to move at a very fast pace. A large Katana rides on his back, and an assortment of knives are tied to his sash belt. In battle he wears a large wooden spirit mask of a leering fox with its tongue lolling to one side.

Background:
Nine Tail grew up a street tough, doing odd jobs for shady characters. As he matured he showed an affinity for swordplay and took on more dangerous missions. After he slew a man in a warehouse robbery, it turned out that the man was a nobleman, and as a result a price was put on his head.

Desparate, Nine Tail fled the city into the surrounding forest. As he fell asleep that night cold, wet, hungry and scared he prayed for some way to escape his fate. That night his dreams took him into the First World where he cut a bargain with a Kitsume spirit, a nine-tailed fox spirit guardian. The Kitsume promised to save him from his predicament if in exchange Nine Tail carried the spirit out of the First World, to once again experience the outside world.

Nine Tail awoke on a beach in Varisia. The fox tattoo on his back replacing a tiger he had placed there years earlier. The two have since traveled together in search of new experiences. Nine Tail does not actively communicate with the Kitsume, but he can feel its presence and its personality occasionally surfaces. Especially in battle as the spirit lends him strength and skill.
