Name: Merric Vass
Race: Human
Classes/levels: Swashbuckler 3
Adventure: The Worldwound Incursion
Location: Tower of Estrod
Catalyst: A Cultist's Scythe
The Gory Details:

Spoiler:
Merric loved diving headfirst into combat, and apparently saw no reason to change this even after getting hit with -6 dex Bestow Curse by Faxon.
One lucky crit from a cultist's scythe (x4 crit) later, and he was one-shot past his con mod.

I added a couple more Terendelev's Scales due to the size of my group... one grants Silverscales, which is a variant of Barkskin with a different visual appearance and adds vulnerability to Fire. Another I added allows the user to turn one handheld weapon into a Frost weapon, with a duration similar to the Magic Weapon spell. Neither is anywhere near a game breaker and seems similar to the power level of the other scales.

Opinions? Feedback? ... has anyone else created new scales to allow for a party of more than 4 players?

I did something similar. Early discussion in this thread gave me ideas and parameters for this. Basically, three uses of a second level spell with some sort of flavor tie in to Terendelev.

I like your scales though - very thematic. The only thing that might suck, is a frost being ineffective against demons.

What is the current light level in the Gray Garrison? I'm thinking normal, since they mention continual flames being present instead of torches.

I'm asking because the tiefling/giant fly tactics of casting darkness are less effective due to the presence of continual flames. I'm a relatively new GM, so please be gentle if I'm missing something obvious.

For the Wrath Campaign I'm running, I've designed a couple magic items similar to Radiance for the same reasons you gave - everyone wants cool stuff. :) The items will slowly level up at the same spots as Radiance (to keep it simpler). I designed a Sword Cane called Swift Verdict for my Investigator. Another one I designed for my Swashbuckler and called it Courage. I tried to keep the abilities unique to the character wielding it, and kept the magic values equivalent to Radiance.

SWIFT VERDICT:

A +1 Evil Outsider Bane Sword Cane, carried by Lord Hulrun Shappok.
It will bond with a mythic character, and gain the legendary ability automatically.
With the cleansing of the Desecrated Chapel, Verdict becomes a +2 Evil Outsider Bane Sword Cane.
Upon the liberation of Drezen, and the recovery of the Sword of Valor, Swift Judgment will become a +3 Evil Outsider Bane Sword Cane.
In the Demon’s Heresy, Swift Verdict will become a +3 Axiomatic Evil Outsider Bane Sword Cane.
In The Midnight Isles, Swift Verdict will become a full Lawful Adjudicator (+4 Axiomatic Evil Outsider Bane Sword Cane.)Swift Judgment became a legendary item, and bonded with the creature that wielded it during their moment of ascension. As such, it grants the two daily uses of legendary power that recharge each day, and is capable of the basic mythic surge.

It cannot be given the upgradeable legendary ability, but it can have up to three legendary item abilities without any path ability investment, but no more than the current mythic tier.

Further, if Swift Judgment is enhanced to a greater artifact, and is currently a Lawful Adjudicator, it can take the following special legendary item ability as two of its selections:
● Divine Verdict: +5 Axiomatic Defiant Evil Outsider Bane Sword Cane

COURAGE:
A +1 Cold Iron Rapier, imbued with power by Cayden Cailean.
It will bond with a mythic character, and gain the legendary ability automatically.
With the cleansing of the Desecrated Chapel, Courage becomes a +1 Keen Cold Iron Rapier.
Upon the liberation of Drezen, and the recovery of the Sword of Valor, Courage will become a +2 Keen Cold Iron Rapier.
In the Demon’s Heresy, Courage will become a +3 Advancing Keen Cold Iron Rapier.
In The Midnight Isles, Courage will become a full Ferocious Vindicator (+4 Advancing Keen Cold Iron Rapier).

Merric’s Courage becomes a legendary item, bonded with the character that wielded it during their moment of ascension. As such, it grants the two daily uses of legendary power that recharge each day, and is capable of the basic mythic surge.

It cannot be given the upgradeable legendary ability, but it can have up to three legendary item abilities without any path ability investment, but no more than the current mythic tier.

Further, if Courage is enhanced to a greater artifact, and is currently a Holy Avenger, it can take the following special legendary item ability as two of its selections:
● Divine Courage: +5 Holy Advancing Keen Cold Iron Rapier

On the other hand, you could look through the unique magic item lists on the PRD or Archives of Nethys and pick some abilities to grant slowly. Stormstrike is one that comes to mind - it's a frost or shock trident that is activated by a command word.

Thanks Kalindlara. I was thinking I may just remove quicken or a third ability altogether, and limit the mythic surge activation to one additional time per day. Does losing a third ability nerf it too much?

UBERSPELL EDITED:

AURA strong (no school)
This arm-length rose-colored rod acts in many ways as a lesser metamagic rod, able to modify up to three spells a day of 3rd level or less with the metamagic feat Extend Spell. Uberspell becomes a legendary item, and bonds with the creature that wielded it during their moment of ascension.

A mythic caster can expend a mythic surge to use Uberspell one additional time per day.
● Upon reaching 1st Mythic Tier/Rank, the Rod can modify spells of up to 3rd level with extend or empower.
● Upon reaching 3rd Mythic Tier/Rank, the Rod can modify spells of up to 4th level with extend or empower, and spells up to 2nd level with extend and/or empower.
● Upon reaching 5th Mythic Tier/Rank, the Rod can modify spells of up to 6th level with extend, or empower, and spells up to 4th level with extend and/or empower.
● Upon reaching 7th Mythic Tier/Rank, the Rod can modify spells of up to 7th level with extend, or empower, and spells up to 5th level with extend and/or empower.
● Upon reaching 9th Mythic Tier/Rank, the rod can modify any spell the caster knows with both abilities at once (empower and extend).

I'd recommend Sorcerer 1, Paladin 4 (or 5 for divine bond), then Dragon Disciple, if you wanted to focus on melee. Smite and Divine Bond give you some nice bonuses.

I'm designing legendary items for a Wrath of the Righteous game I'm currently running.

I wanted them to function similarly to

Spoiler:
Radiance, in that they become legendary/bond with a mythic creature with the destruction of the wardstone fragment and level up at certain points during the game.

This is my attempt at a metamagic rod for a Gnome Impossible Bloodline Sorcerer. The metamamagic abilities are ones he expressed interest in.
I don't have a lot of experience with full casters, so I'd like some feedback on the power level of this rod if people would indulge me.

Thanks all!

● Upon reaching 9th Mythic Tier/Rank, the rod can modify any spell the caster knows with any two of the rod’s abilities at once (empower, extend, and quicken).

I'm not sure if this is the best forum for this - I'm a forum noob.

So awesome. Seriously.

I agree with kamenhero25. If you want to her to be redeemable, as Gm, you can make her be more redeemable.

You could write her as more coerced or threatened, and willing to switch sides if protection is offered. Maybe she breaks down in tears with a high enough diplomacy check, and says that she wants out, but is fearful of the consequences from her masters?

Milani, Cayden Cailean, Desna - the standard freedom loving deities.
I'm actually really excited to play this AP (eventually). I've wanted to play a cleric of Cayden Cailean for a while now, and this will be the perfect opportunity!
