![]() Certainly at lower levels, the kensai is losing due to no armor, fewer spells, and no spell recall. Is the leveling of the kensai that much tougher until he makes it higher or does he fail as archetype overall? I'm making a new PC for my game and want this character. Multiclassing and min/max/opt-ing aside, is Kensai viable? I love the spellblending with melee combat, but don't want a weak character and losing what the kensai does, it seems like that arch doesn't have the tools needed to carry out a viable spellcombat/strike. ![]()
![]() When using these feats/abilities, both Medusa Wrath and Ki Strike state that you make additional attacks at your highest base attack bonus. If using Flurry of Blows, would these attacks be made at the monks increased BAB granted by FoB? or his regular crappy 3/4 BAB? I would think it should be the former, and would house rule the same, but wanted to know the official stance. ![]()
![]() An iron band, this simple ring generates a shield-sized (and shield-shaped) wall of force that stays with the ring and can be wielded by the wearer as if it were a heavy shield (+2 AC). This special creation has no armor check penalty or arcane spell failure chance since it is weightless and encumbrance-free. It can be activated and deactivated at will as a free action. would the hand wearing the ring still be free for holding/wielding weapons, making unarmed strikes, etc? would it count as using a shield and prohibit the use of monk abilities? ![]()

so after 24 hours of wear time, does the belt always grant the wearer its bonus? or does the bonus fade from the item after 24 hours and it no longer gives a +2 Str? ![]()
![]() might be a matter for suggestion, but wanna get some feedback. yes, this is inspired by the FoB TWF mess. Greater Unarmed Strike
Benefit - When armed with a weapon that counts as striking unarmed, you may apply benefits that normally modify unarmed strikes when attacking with that weapon. It would work with feral combat training too i think if there are natural weapon concerns. ![]()
![]() Tiger Style grants: Benefit: While using this style, you gain a +2 bonus to your CMD against bull rush, overrun, and trip maneuvers. You can also deal slashing damage with your unarmed strikes. Whenever you score a critical hit with your slashing unarmed strike, your opponent also takes 1d4 points of bleed damage at the start of his next two turns. Normal: Unarmed strikes deal bludgeoning damage. And Amulet of Mighty Fists state: This amulet grants an enhancement bonus of +1 to +5 on attack and damage rolls with unarmed attacks and natural weapons. Alternatively, this amulet can grant melee weapon special abilities, so long as they can be applied to unarmed attacks. My question is, and i think it works going by RAW, that since the Keen weapon special ability (+2 enchant) is limited to piercing and slashing weapons, that if you are going to be using Tiger Style, you could apply the Keen ability to your fists and double your crit range. Anyone else see this as doable or am I breaking the rules? ![]()
![]() In the RAW, you can add a weapons enhancement bonus to a CMB check if it is a weapon that can be used to do so i.e. trip, disarm, etc. Certainly, if you have a +1 Kama (lets just say), which has the trip weapon feature, you get to add the +1 to your CMB. By the rules, a weapon with a special ability must also have at least a +1 enhancement bonus. I am curious if you get a +2 bonus to trip if the weapon was a +1 Flaming Kama(a +1 equivalent enchant and a +1 enhancement for a total of a +2 enhancement) or just the +1 from the +1 and not count the flaming. |
