Nelliel smiles compassionately at Priyya's words and responds, "My dear girl, in over two centuries I have traveled many lands and seen many cultures. I assure you that it would be a culture's loss to regard such an elegant and noble presence as yours as unbecoming of a beautiful young woman."

The princess' middle-aged retainer busies herself packing Alis' belongings in a less haphazard manner while Alexis takes what little time is needed to help Priyya with her luxuriant ebony mane.

A knock comes at the door, and Morgaard calls out that the carriages have arrived and porters are waiting downstairs.

With everyone's hair, wardrobe and makeup in order, she opens the door and replies, "We were just coming down. Would you mind keeping an eye on the baggage handlers to ensure they are careful with the ladies' belonging, my old friend?"

Miss Nell gives a small sigh of relief when she sees her charges.

"Your highnesses, it brings me great joy to see you safely returned. Morgaard was just regaling us on your exploits..."

She frowns slightly and says, "However, it appears that there is something urgent that has come up. Not long ago a great hulk of a man came in here and delivered a letter for Princess Alissariel. He did not stay long but said you would soon rendezvous. I could learn no more before he was gone again. He did bear the princess' crest however. Shall I open the letter for her highness?"

Nell looks up at the long-absent bartender and replies, "They went that-a way!"

Seeing Suny dash out the door holding her backpack and wearing only an illusory dress, Miss Nell shakes her head.

"Was I ever that young?" she asks of no one in particular.

Sighing softly, she walks over to the bar to see what wonderful repast Therena has prepared for today's brunch.

Unable to withstand the full force of the princess' puppy-dog eyes, Miss Nell relents, "Well... if Morgaard is going with you and you are certain to be back in time then there's nothing to worry about, right?"

She gives the sturdy dwarf an imploring look, before turning back to Alexis. "Highness, promise me you will keep your sister out of trouble and keep her from getting anyone else into trouble too."

Her impassive face softens a bit as the girls skwee in delight and pin her arms to her sides in a dual hug. As the two run upstairs to pack, she looks after them and shakes her head a bit morosely. They grow up so quickly, especially with hot human blood in their veins...

From behind the princess, Miss Nell allows herself a small smile and says warmly, "It is good to see you, Axe of Highhelm. Judging by your presence and Alissariel's dress I can only assume that there is an adventure afoot..."

"Sorry, hun, I am no wizard, but isn't Alexis studying to be a wizard, or something like that? Or, since you are royalty, you should have quite a few wizards working for you, correct? I think Alis would also be familiar with this as well, I think."

Looking at the curious objects, Nell says, "They are both skilled in the arcane, yes. Alexis moreso. She also loves to tinker with mechanical devices so I'm sure she would take an interest. Unfortunately, of the twins Alexis has less fortitude for strong drink and wine in particular makes her sleepy. I'm quite certain she has already retired for the night even if it is yet early."

"As for what it is, I'm afraid I have no more idea than either of you. I'm a diplomat and a caretaker, not a treasure hunter like the two young Pathfinders and their late parents. However, if there is a map or document in that tube, I know that Alexis has a spell that can safely make copies of non-magical documents. If whatever is inside is old and brittle or water-logged and fragile, it might be best to ask her to transcribe it for you rather than letting curiosity ruin a potential relic."

The reserved elven woman gets up from her seat to make her way upstairs. Yet before she leaves, she turns and adds, "I shall leave a note on her highness' spell book inquiring after the technique I mentioned. While the princesses may seem to quarrel a lot, they are quite protective of one another. I cannot be certain if she will be of a mind to help you after today's escapades. Never-the-less there is nothing to risk by asking. If she declines you are no worse off than you are now. If she agrees, considerably better. Enjoy your evening, good night."

Elvish:
"Well, I don't remember seeing many humans in your lands so maybe this isn't something you know. But dear, humans don't live as long as we elves do. They only have a little time on this world. Compared to you and I, they are old and passed-on before we are even recognized as adults by our people. You... look maybe to be about only 80 or 90 summers. For a human that is ancient. When they give their heart and to someone, that is a precious thing because time is something they don't have much of."

"As for that," she says looking at the shell, "it appears to be an exceptional example of a conch. Where did you find it?"

At the younger elf's question, Nell gives her an appraising look and replies...

Elvish:
"Well, I can tell from your accent that you are not from Avistan. The only time I can recall ever seeing another elf with your complexion was when sailing along the western coast of Garund with the princesses' late parents. Our ship was damaged by The Eye and we set into port on an island for repairs for two weeks. The elves who were native to that place looked and sounded like you. Many of them were quite... friendly."

"Madness?"

Nell looks at the now angel-winged succubus who only seems to have a few curious grease-stains on her hands and then to the brown elf who seems to have dyed part of her blue dress red from a cut in her forehead. "Sorry," she confesses, "that is among the things that the ladies typically handle themselves. I rely on soap and water myself..."

Turning to the new-comer she asks, "What exactly was that terrible noise we heard when you entered? Please tell me that hellish scene wasn't anywhere on Golarion..."

"Right then, me luvlies, lets get a couple o' things straight. Ravarath left us. I do think th' Lady Alis wus lookin' t' get some sense out'a him an' she an' a...."

"Oh! You mean the Dwarf? I think people were calling him Morgaard."

"Aye, well... There were a right misun'er standin' t'ween m'self an' Ravarath. Somat whut when I get a better hang o' th' language I do intend t' untangle. T'wernt none o' Lureenes' doin', t'was all down t' gum-nut me."

Miss Nell still has a dreadfully serious look on her face. After listening to all that Suny has to say, she replies, "Well, at least she is with Morgaard, he's worth a dozen paladins. As for your recount of the days events... thank you for taking responsibility."

Upon seeing the porter fall down the stairs, Miss Nell sighs a bit as if a burden was lifted. She waves for Mors to pour a few drinks and then turns to the girls and says, "Well, you may as well join me. Without either of the princesses to look after I don't have much else to do."

Suny/Elvish:
Now then young one, what is it that you were trying to make sense of? Perhaps in our own tongue we can unravel this mystery...

'i do not know where the Alis or where Rath-hun, err Ravarath is."

"Ravarath?" she looks to Alexis who just shrugs in confusion. "I thought it was the paladin who was to be escorting you. No matter, I suppose the only creature more stoic than a knight would be a monk."

Nelliel pauses and for a moment Lureene wonders if they'll be off the hook.

"However," Nell continues, "I heard a disturbing rumor that your escort ran off for some reason and then the two of you started breaking up Lord Aernelóth's boutique. The monks I have known do not abandon their charges lightly unless they feel their actions are serving some greater purpose. You wouldn't happen to know why Ravarath ran off only to jump out of a window and run towards a commotion this porter heard now would you?"

Female Elf Cleric 1, Rogue 1
Favored: Cleric

"I would presume then," Miss Nell begins, "that Aernelóth's shall be among her highness' stops correct? If you could deliver this order, that would save your dear sister and I a great deal of walking."

Their reserved retainer hands Alexis a scrollcase and a pouch of coins. Noting that the crepes appear to have defeated Alexis, she concludes, "We shall have returned in time for this evening's meal. Be well, princess."

With that, Alexis and Miss Nell depart into Cassomir to tend to their itinerary.

Hmm, at 1d6+6 points of negative energy for a minimum of 30 rounds, methinks poor Bit would be a pile of ash — even if he took minimum damage each round: 210 min, 285 avg. Still, what a way to go! ;)

As they walk downstairs together to look into Limbo's breakfast offerings, Miss Nell comments, "Highness... if during the course of the day your sister offers you a drink, see if you can't find some way to distract her whilst you switch the goblets. She has yet another prank in mind to which I am quite certain you would take offense."

Alexis sighs softly and shakes her head wondering what nonsense her beloved sister is up to this time.

Female Elf Cleric 1, Rogue 1
Favored: Cleric

"Ahem..." Miss Nell clears her throat and steps out of a carriage parked in the shadows. She is carrying a large box with the words, Aernelóth Fashion Studios silk-screened onto the dark, satin-finished box it in silver ink, golden ribbons binding it.

Alexis gasps and covers her mouth with her hands, her eyes growing wide.

Miss Nell continues, "After helping her highness pack, it occurred to me that they lacked garments suitable to the more rugged environs reported by the last expedition our people made to Arcadia. Princess Alis and I thought you might be able to make good use of this..."

With that, Nelliel holds forth the box while Alexis carefully unwraps it and gazes fondly at the brand new explorer's outfit the bought for her. [b]"Boots, a pants-skirt, a warm blouse, front-laced corset and bolero, gloves, cloak, scarf, and of course a new hat." Nelliel gives a satisfied smile as she announces each item and sees the approval in her charge's indigo eyes. She continues, "All custom fit and tailored in your favorite colors, sea-blue and silver, Iadara's most distinguised tailor."

Gyldyr ... leaves his room, closes a door along the corridor that's slightly ajar, and makes his way downstairs.

Gyldyr:
As you head towards the stairs, you notice that middle-aged elf woman who entered with the busty blonde twins earlier is snooping by the top of the stairs listening in on the conversations below. The door you just closed was hers. Upon perceiving your approach, she quickly stands up, clasps her hands in front of her and steps back to allow you to pass, head lowered in deference to your privacy.

EDIT: Oh damn, post #666! O_O

Female Elf Cleric 1, Rogue 1
Favored: Cleric

The middle-aged elf stops rubbing her temple, composes herself and says, "Pardon our entry, we thought this was the Silver Eel. We didn't mean to interrupt your fight club..."

The older woman then clears her throat and tips her head in the direction of an empty table across the room. The two other then intone, "Yes Miss Nell..." and take a seat, the one in the red dress removing her mask.

After a few moments of awkward silence, "Miss Nell" approaches the bar and quietly asks, "If we haven't over-stayed our welcome, would you happen to have a suite to let?"

Sorry to kick-in-the-door and... take a nap... but this sleepy elf works 3rd shift and must away! Be back tonight... :D
