Background Nelliel, or Miss Nell as Alis frequently calls her, is a loyal retainer in the employ of the elven royal family. Before the deaths of Alis and Alexis' parents, she was Duchess Kirmoon's retainer and lady-in-waiting. After the tragedy that took their lives, she remained to look after their heirs and conveyed them to the capital where they were officially adopted by their royal cousins.

While Alexis remains relatively safe in the palace, pursuing arcane research, Alis' penchant for travel and getting in trouble resulted in Miss Nell being assigned to watch after the young, self-appointed ambassador. Fortunately, even though Nell isn't exactly young anymore, she has more than enough endurance to keep up with her charge — particularly when she laces Alis' corset extra tight.
