Wow I'm really glad I threw up mage armor, that would have ripped through Aurex.

Aurex would like to take the amulet of natural armor, if nobody objects.

Nate continues to fire arrows, starting to get angry. Aurex was such a destructive force, so utterly entertaining. And he was mad, which is becoming a rarer thing these days. If he falls, where would his fun go?

Using Draconic Focus feat to establish focus as a move action rather than a standard action. 2/3 Draconic Focus used.

Nate focuses through Aurex's fury, pushing himself to act. This was one of the only fights today, and he would be damned if Aurex was going to keep him from moving.

When the enemy act please remember they are shaken. Shaken:A shaken character takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks. Shaken is a less severe state of fear than frightened or panicked.

Aurex straightens up from the blast of fire, daring the creatures to charge him. Nate starts cackling madly and singing a twisted song about a dragon cooking and eating children, a haunting sound.

Nate will act this turn, he will begin inspire courage. ALL ALLIES gain +1 to hit and damage and on saves against fear!

Nate jumps up. "Let's go kill this thing, maybe I'll get knocked out and won't be so bored with all this exploring."

Nate doesn't appear invested one way or the other, picking at his nails with a dagger with the expression one would expect to see on a bored teenager.

"Maybe these teleporty thrones can get us around? Or maybe we just make a new entrance?" Nate says, grinning and looking to Aurex.

Nate takes a seat, slumping down and trying some more command words randomly. "Come on, do something!"

"Neat." Nate starts prodding at the throne and tries to pronounce the word on it, doing his best to stumble upon how to activate it by dumb luck.

Nate lazily meanders his way over to Alice, managing to gather a little interest about the throne. "How does it work, and where does it go?" He seems like he'd go along, if anything just to get him to do something.

Nate suddenly perks up. "Squatters, do we need to clean them out?" He asks eagerly.

Nate continues to listlessly laze about in the main room while Aurex grumbles unhelpfully in the cramped quarters.

As a heads up to all of my games, I will be completely unavailable from the 15th-20th. I will be in an area without cell service or internet and as such will be completely dark. Please DMPC me as needed to keep the game moving.

Fine with me, although fair warning I typically don't post on weekends.

Aurex barely fits inside, curling up near the entrance and waiting for the others to do the exploring in the rooms he can barely fit in.

Meanwhile Nate looks wholly uninterested in helping, rather choosing to pick at his fingernails with a dagger.

My perception is ok but nothing spectacular, especially at this level.

Wand heals 10 per charge.

"A good place to be bored, if somebody comes knocking you can make them look like a pincushion." Nate muses as he looks at the arrow slits.

Aurex will need 5 charges from the infernal healing wand.

I say we try the stairs first, I'd hate to go looking around for a secret entrance if the front door is unlocked.

If we have a wand we are already set.

Infernal healing is an arcane spell, and cure spells also appear on the bard list, so either way Nate could use them. Not good for in combat healing, but afterwards I could patch everybody up.

So...do we not have a healing wand? If not, we need to purchase one asap.

Do we not have a healing wand in the party? Either CLW or Infernal Healing? We could use either one of those without UMD checks.

Nate moves forward, placing a hand on Grumble's back. "Come on, dance on the edge of death!" He cackles.

Nate stumbles, moving to a tree for cover.

GM, for a week straight we have been getting daily updates to expect a post. Do you need some time until things in your life calm down a bit? There's no concern there, we all have to step away from our hobbies when real life coming knocking.

Errisaigh remember we're hasted, which includes bonuses as well as an extra attack.

Nate raises his bow, firing a single arrow at the largest treant beating Aurex, frowning and shaking his head as if trying to clear it from ringing.

Using draconic focus feat to establish focus with Aurex as a move action, allowing Aurex to act fully while spending a move action from Nate. Activate arcane strike as a swift action, fire a single attack as a standard action.

Still a good sized party, although we're notably lacking in divine power.

One of Morana's aliases, Dougal Fairbairn, has posted the last couple of days, so she is still on the boards. I wonder why we haven't heard from her.

Soren was somebody very new to the boards and has only made about 25 posts in total, so it looks like she has vanished from the boards for now.

Have we sent them private messages? Have they been active on the boards at all?

I know sometimes if a game isn't moving for long enough it can get hidden or a poster may be a little inactive compared to normal.

Nate retrieves his bow slowly as Aurex leaps into action.

Nate takes a move action to draw his bow, uses a standard action to establish focus with Aurex so that he can act this turn.

I assume Jack takes the surprise round and the rest of us are in initiative now? Hopefully he was close enough to get that attack in.

Nate yawns, openly expressing his boredom at the holdup. "We going through this thing or what? It'd be interesting to see a tree begging for its life."

'Nate' chuckles. "Oh dear Nathanial has not been here for quite some time. When the rest of us are not taking turns bubbling to the surface Aurex buries him." If looks could kill, the gaze Aurex levied could melt stone. "Oh piss off, it's not like anything is going to change about it."

"We both know you can't fight me out, might as well let me breathe a little. Oh I'll tag along, doing whatever scheme you're involved in sounds slightly less boring than sitting in a jail cell."

Nate shrugs, although it's only semi-successful coming from the weight of the dragon on his chest. "Can't blame me, can you? Oh what's the big bad dragon gonna do, kill me?" He says with a roll of his eyes.

I am here, but it has been so long that I don't recall where we were at. A recap would be good.

Nate stutters out loud for a moment as Jack walks away, but he seems to lack the will to follow after him. He turns and looks back at the bed, then shakes his head in frustration. "Damnit." He grabs his gear and follows the others with a sour expression.

"He...ahhh!" Nate slams onto the ground, completely unprepared for the rude awakening as his nose slams into the ground with a dull crunch. He scrambles to his feet and grabs Jack by the collar. "You're going to wish you never did that." He sneers. Although Nate is a large man and his presence would normally by an imposing one, it looks slightly comical when going up against the towering hulk that is Jack.

Nate rolls over, groaning like a spoiled child who was woken up to help on the farm. "Why bother?" He asks flatly.

When the knocking occurs in the morning, Nate is still asleep. He doesn't appear at all interested in getting up.

Nate stiffen. "He wouldn't kill me, because I fuel his growth, but yes." He says to Alice.

"Partners? Well, I suppose, although not by choice. Something has to keep this shattered head together." He says with a shrug.

"Oh, no. I mean he hasn't seen me for a long time." Nate says as if that clarified the matter. "I can't imagine he will be very happy with me. But what's he gonna do, kill me?" He suddenly gives a sick grin. "A rich bit of poetry I suppose."

Soren's raises an eyebrow quizzically at Nate. "I don't... think so, no. Aurex seems smart enough to realize that a dragon coming wandering into town isn't going to go over very well for our mission." She takes stock of his fingers for the first time, doing her best to hide the concern on her face. "Nate, why are you worried Aurex would come to town? Is there a problem? It's been a while since the two of you were together."

"Yeah...been a while. Been a really long time." He looks down at his cards with a frown. "It's been...I don't know what he will think of me anymore. It's been so long."
