Leonora:

Leonora holds and comforts her son,
"I fear the effects of the events back home going to last a while longer for Kirk.
I just hope he can recover from them."

"We are on our way to Sandpoint, and hoping to start over after bandits burned down our village and killed my husband 2 days ago.
And it has been quite exhausting traveling."
she answers.

She's telling the truth.

Leonora:

"Oh right I've not introduced us yet, I'm Leonora, and this is my son Kirk,"

The woman replies "Thank you, if you don't mind."

The Woman and child get near the fire to warm up and dry off.

The ulfen woman of 6 foot 6 sees the group and says
"Storm Peace?"

Storm peace is a custom, where their is a truce and their is to be no fighting while sheltering from a storm, Know(Arcana) DC 15 covers a few tales of this.

Raz:"

Raz replies to Aurorae
"I am taking over some of Mr Keel until he returns, and I'm handling them just fine, deary.
Oh I did hear something of that nature from Duke.
If your looking for work, you can check around town, I'm sure there are a few places that'll hire you."

"Though I should add there has been a strange energy about for about the past few months in the area.
So far I think the effects are minor, in that they bring out potential from one's bloodlines, but not everyone's bloodlines."

This last part is more in reference for players using monster classes and gaining racial abilities, but also the heritage for NPCs in they gain a racial trait not commonly found among their race.

Raz:"

Raz replies to Rune
"Verspotte nicht was, du verstehst nicht, Junge."

Elven:

"Don't mock what, you don't understand, young one."

Raz:"

The Old woman takes a seat and replies in elven, with a slight accent of some sort....
"Danke, Schatz.

Elven:

"Thank you, deary.
Well, news travels fast in a small town when something happens.
As for your question of who I am, yes deary, I am Raz.
I'm no seer, I just know how to look at the horizon of time and see and understand some of the fragments that are there."

Aurorae:

She's honest, and seems very wise, and as the saying goes "With age comes wisdom."

Using German for Elven, since Old Norse has German roots, and there aren't any dwarves about...
and Google translate doesn't have Old Norse languages.

Raz:"

"So these are the new comer's Duke and Astrid mentioned, I have an idea of what your going to ask.
Your looking for clues to Azmur Keel and his wife, sorry to say but you won't find any as you are or on this path of thought.
Rather you'll find answers on a different path, one that starts either tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, and the path starts when you hear something a kin to thunder."

Winry Dfair:

Winry looks at Aurorae and clapse her hands together in excitement
"It's nice to see one of our new customers is another elf, as there are so few here,
As we really only have Ms Willoway, and Raz here.
Not sure how much I count since I'm more like 3/4's elf."

Winry Dfair:

A lovely and upbeat barmaid approaches your table
"Good afternoon, I'll be taking your order."

so then quickly asks with a cheery voice
"Right now, for meals we have; stew, salad, mutton, and chicken soup.
For drinks we have water, and a wide range of spirits including;
Ager's 11,
Dragon Ale,
Blackjack,
Elven Mead,
Bond's Booze,
The MacGuffin,
Dwarven Beer,
Balrog,
and I believe we have some wines"

Astrid:

Astrid adds
"since we have guests raised in by those of a cloth,
We also have 2 temples here one to
Shelyn, known as the Shrine of Seven Roses,
and a House of Abadar. "

Astrid:

GM:

rand: 1d20 ⇒ 15

Astrid replies
"Well, Looks like I can't completely judge a book by it's cover.
And I may be off with my women's intuition it seems."

Astrid:

GM:

rand: 1d20 ⇒ 20
rand: 1d20 ⇒ 8

Astrid adds
"I still think they are hiding something....
That tall woman looks more like a blacksmith then a ward from a priestess of Shelyn."

Astrid:

GM:

Rand: 1d20 ⇒ 5

Astrid adds
"I don't know about that, it seems the truth but I'm sensing they are holding things back.
That is what my women's intuition is telling me."

Astrid:

Astrid quips as she looks over the group
"It looks like we have a interesting group here."

Deputy Sara:

Sara out of breath from running to find her boss adds breathing heavily
"It seems some children snuck off in night or didn't come home last night and with all the confusion of the nightmares and shock people were in only now did they notice that one of their children was missing."

Asina Silvers:

Asine replies to Cassander's order from the kitchen
"Oh don't think you can sweet talk me, Mr Elsinore..."

Deputy Sara:

Sara after hearing Hawks' words adds in a scared voice
"Lady Cirthana was here a few minutes ago and also told me her dream of a man in blue and white saying the same thing.
And that all her children had the nightmare.
In fact even Mr Wang's whole family had nightmares,
even his wife almost went into premature labour from the fright of her nightmare."

Asina Silvers:

Asine puts in her 2 cents
"I'm guessing he'll be wanting scrambled eggs and some toast.
Though I believe the bakery isn't quite open yet, as they are still making the morning bread..."

the world at the moment don't have the same preservatives we do...

Asina Silvers:

Asine quiries her father
"What new stuff, dad?"

Asina Silvers:

Asine greets in kind back to Jasmine
"Morning Jasmine, I hope your ready for another busy day."

Viaren:

Viaren replies
"Well the army of the dead is just a guess on my part, as who knows he could of figured out another use for them"

Viaren:

Viaren replies
"Sorry I don't know anything of getting into the Keep.
And if he is making an army of the dead it'll be in the Keep itself."

Viaren:

Viaren replies
"Most of the herbs the baron bought are used in necromancy.
Lately, his agents have purchased a lot of herbs and concoctions used to preserve dead bodies.
He might be trying to raise and army of the dead."

Viaren:

A half-elven woman replies
"I'm Viaren and I run the black Candle, We have a lot of herbs and remedies here, and the Baron as for a large order of Herbs lately."

Viaren:

She's actually raven haired, follow the link...

Now I just need the missing Diplomacy check to convince her you speak the truth.

A half-elven woman replies
"Oh sorry, it's just been a loonie day for me."

Viaren:

SM: 1d20 + 3 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 5 = 12 Sorry, it is a fail for her, you rolled too well

A half-elven woman replies
"I specialize in herbal remedies for common ailments and injuries."

Viaren:

A half-elven woman replies
"Hello and what Can I do for you today?"

Shelly:

Shelly adds
"You'll only have Ayla and Magnar Gunnarsson as back up,
supporting you as they can while being a contingency plan should you all be arrested and or killed.
They are already integrated into Pirens Bluff population and under cover like you'll be.
Now the General will fill you in on other details and answer any other questions."

Shelly:

Shelly adds
"While it might be wiser to use the disguises as you investigate so there is a less of a trace back to us,
conversely you could use them to escape arrest and hid for a time."

Shelly:

Shelly looks at Valessa's result
"Yours Valessa was a real deal in that it'll hide the face plate of the helm and folk would only see the illusion face.
As it'll help in keeping any some fights you might get into from being connected to other fights you do in the town.
As the constant wearing of the face plate in the helm might give a connection."

Shelly:

Shelly hands out the hats, each one have been marked to whom they likely would best match.
"These hats are all have preset illusions and automatically activate when wearing one which is the reason they were cheap.
I checked which one would best match for each person here."

Shelly:

Shelly adds
"The Hats are good enough to change facial appearance, hair colour, and what your wearing.
Now since they are nothing more then simple visual illusions,
so disguising the gear to something similar will help with any mismatched noise your armour or gear makes.
And Tobar we already took into account your shape changing abilities so there are not any spare hats and capture would be difficult as Intel does report that there is alot and possibly even elite guards guarding the Baron."

Shelly:

Shelly adds
"We do have enough caps for those that can't disguise themselves.
Please try and keep any suspicion of what your doing to a Minimum.
And I do ask that you don't start any bar fights, Yaz, even if it can be fun."

Shelly:

Shelly addresses the group standing next to Pip in his chair
"We have a rather nasty job that we have accepted, and it needs a small yet skilled team."

Woman in Red

The Woman in red and white, calmly, kindly and sweetly says
"The Trial will be a fair and just one, for a trial without grace and justice is one that leads to injustice and evil."

Laurel:

Sitting Duck First Floor, Bar room

Laurel replies
"I don't need a guard, but I do recommend being careful as not every in town is a good person."

Laurel:

Sitting Duck First Floor, Bar room

Laurel replies to the little one
"We just finished dealing with an outbreak or blackscour taint.
And were busy the last couple of days healing people and making the medicine."

Laurel:

Sitting Duck First Floor, Bar room

Laurel helps them the two men up
"You boys must of been raised without knowing proper manners,
it'll be hard on you boys to proper impress a lady with those bad manners."

She then returns to talk with Wu Chen and Kojima-San

"I take it you came in with Mr Kraft and those two men?"

Laurel:

Sitting Duck First Floor, Bar room

Laurel gets to them and looks them over
"You boys must have balls of steel to hold back the pain your feelin."

she quickly gives them a bit of medicine she had one her.

Laurel:

Sitting Duck First Floor, Bar room

Laurel answers the little one,
I'm not a healer, I'm more an apothecary.
Lady Cirthana is this town's only cleric, unless some new comers are also ones of the cloth.

Laurel:

Sitting Duck First Floor, Bar room

Laurel looks at the new comer family
"Your right, little miss, looks like they are quite the fools.
Hope they can still get up."

"Thanks I could use another drink."

Laurel:

Sitting Duck First Floor, Bar room

Laurel looks at them with a look The your likely fools look.
"Your not from around here, so I'll fill you in with a simple basic version.
Mr Kreed owns almost all of the town, owns the lumber rights in the Darkmoon Vale, and basically is the government of Falcon's Hollow itself.
And if you make him mad or don't play nice with him and his men, he'll find ways of making your life worse."

Laurel:

Sitting Duck First Floor, Bar room

Laurel then replies
"I won't say, as I don't want to start rumours.
And risk earning his wrath, or more taxes."

Laurel:

Sitting Duck First Floor, Bar room

Laurel then adds
"Well it was worth it, as I was surprised to see Mr Kreed himself enter and paying 4 times what I was asking for the cure, even got a thanks out of him.
So I'm guessing that right now he is in one of his very rare good and generous moods.
And I think I know the reason why."

Laurel:

Sitting Duck First Floor, Bar room

Laurel enters the Sitting Duck with a smile on her face walking up to Grachius.
"I know it is a bit early but I'll take a glass of Ager's 11, Grachius.
As I've not had a drink in a long while and need it after that crazy couple of days of work with little sleep."

Laurel

Roots and Remedies

Laurel replies
"Walking around out there, you might need supplies.
The Goose n Gander should have some as you search for the ingredients."

Laurel

Roots and Remedies

Laurel replies
"Well, for the elderwood mold, there’s gotta be an oldest tree in the vale. Damned if I know where it is, though.
The rat’s tail and mushrooms are even longer shots. Way north, toward the mountains, people say there used to live a bunch of dwarves.
They’re not there anymore, but I’d bet their forges are. If you can find ironbloom anywhere around here, that’d be your best bet.
As for the rat’s tail, who knows? Well.
Actually. Ulizmila, the witch that lives deep in the woods might. She’s a crafty, mean thing that knows all sorts of strangeness.
She might even have one. I don’t know what she might want for it, but I doubt it’d come cheap.
My grandmother traded her sight to the old crone for a few pages of what she knew, and that was years and years back, and I don’t know a soul who got any nicer as they got older."
