Awlright all you smarty pantses...tell me if this is legal:
a +4 shocking composite longbow of speed (18000gp for +3 speed enhancement + 2000gp for +1 shocking enhancement + 300 mwk + 100gp for the bow = 20,400gp
The bow you made has a total of a +8 enchantment bonus... You would need to use the +8 price. The enchantments are culmative for its total. The +3 and +1 for speed and shock respectively are addition enhancement, that aren't represented in the enchantment bonus to hit and damage. Think of it like this, if you want a magic bow, you first have to give it an echantment bonus of at least +1, (This is for hit and damage) if you then wanted speed you would add +3 to your +1 for price only. The bow would then be a +1 bow of speed. At a +4 cost. Want more hit and damage? Bring it up by another enchantment bonuse so it would be a +2 bow of speed, it would be a +5 cost. Add shock? +6 cost, for a +2 shocking bow of speed. Adding more enhancements at a later date? Find the difference where your bow is now and the bonus of where your next enchantment would bring it, and that's what you pay. Hope this clears it up.
