I think we need to figure out treasure ASAP. We've got piles of stuff and no idea what to do with it. I don't know how much money we have, even.
Mokhasi has been quiet, and he just adds, "I do not know. If we could research his home in advance, it may give us a small advantage. Protection against poison for each person seems wise. Lastly, these serpentfolk seem to hypnotize people, yes? Can we protect our minds from such intrusion somehow?"

He shakes his head, after retrieving his notebook where he's catalogued their finds, "I do not see anything like a raven figurine in any of our sacks, and I have not endeavored to make one. Perhaps we can run quickly?"

Mokhasi summons a helper to assist everyone. A very large skunk burrows out of the ground nearby.
Summon animal, a giant skunk to enstench the three new guards (two grippli and one dwarf) that are coming. Will target one more if possible - but it’s a 15 foot cone.
The skunk then blasts the three that are approaching with Blinding Musk, if possible. Spray Blinding Musk (poison) The giant skunk propels potent, acrid musk in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in the line must attempt a DC 17 Fortitude save. Critical Success The target is unaffected. Success The target is sickened 1. Failure The target is sickened 3. Critical Failure The target is blinded for 1 round, becomes sickened 3, and takes a –2 penalty to Stealth checks from the horrific odor for 24 hours or until the musk is removed or neutralized, requiring 10 minutes of thorough scrubbing with soap.

He runs his fingers through his braids, "the greatest magical minds in Garund should have tried to solve this problem..." He shakes his head, and nods in agreement, "yes, scouting. Yes. That is a good idea. I will support you all however I can."

Mokhasi seems surprised at the force with which Ubasu is attacked, and responds by raising magically raising three large stones from the ground with one hand. With the other, he gestures and they’re imbued with significant magical, power, spinning and glowing brightly - until he releases them and they burst away, pummeling into the elemental.

Mokhasi seems surprised by how quickly the fire elementals moved, but makes a series of hand gestures that seem to evoke a character stuck in some goo. He says a few magic words in elven and says, ”once there was a snail, who had a very long trip…” and the air around the elemental near the valve seems to solidify somehow, trying to trap the creature.
He then opens his hand in a gesture of generosity, towards Patizamo.

You can salvage 150 gp of reagents from this room. You also find a lesser elixir of life on a shelf.A ring of acid resistance rests on the table. In addition, a jumble of magical supplies on a shelf includes a striking rune on a runestone.
Under the bed, you discover a rhinoceros mask. Its enchantment can be transferred to a non-magical mask. The bearskin rug is exceptionally well made and is worth 30 gp. Stone Ghost's weapon is a +1 morningstar.
Urbel has a pouch with 4 gold teeth worth 3 gp each and a +1 striking pick.

Not sure if all of this was claimed/sold/accounted for. 2E to its credit seems pretty gear independent, but I think I need to plump up Mokhasi's spellbook and look into buying some things, so I think we should address it.
I don't think we ever made a spreadsheet for these things - if nobody else wants to then I can when I have time.

Mokhasi is pleased that Baldrek successfully executed the plan, and lets the fighter know.
Later, when they start looking into the fires, he stands thoughtfully, and tries to consider if any magic could help in the investigation, or help stop an arsonist with an alchemical predilection.
Not sure if there's any spells that he could learn, but I think we need to plump up Mokhasi's spellbook. Things to 'fight fires' might be pretty useful for now. I don't know the 2e list as well as 1e - does anyone have any insight?

Are there any skills which might be appropriate? If it is a real ghost, and not a trick, what would the PCs know about how to placate them?
Mokhasi opens his hands, "I reserve judgment on whether it is a poltergeist, as well. It is possible it is a different type of being altogether."
Does the government have any records such as deeds or titles? Nantambu is relatively advanced; maybe their bureaucracy is as well.

Mokhasi keeps up with his studies a bit, but seems a little more interested in physical pursuits, crafting new things, and practicing storytelling in the process. He spends much of their academic break talking to Chiesi about the optimal way to loaf, and puts this into practice by having frequent naps.
