In the Days that followed Miya grew more and more restless, things had settled down and as days became weeks became mouths a year had passed in now time. Her holding had done well and the towns folk wanted to buy out her share of the bruery. She was happy to take the coin, she kept the woodland and her hut, paying a local family to look after it. A year and a day after she had been recruited, a letter came, giving her her freedom back. She could stay in the service or was up to her. But if she left she would have to leave the country for 10 years. Well she this worked for her, Then having a fare well meal with her friends at the towns best inn, She bid them farewell. So on a spring day she packed her things, locked up and left. There was a whole world out there and she wanted to do see it.

Still healing she walks over to check the others "You all, all right, lets have a look at that" She says checking Randu wound as well, handing him another small vile.
She jumps and kicks the next one in the head, as her swarm moved on

Miya summon-swarms a swom and sends it at the head of one of the wyrms
"I dont know much about a tatzlwyrms what are they like" she asks
"Dose anyone mind if I stretch my legs, human is ok but I need some me time" She says not waiting for the others replay. Shifting to her true form. She quickly changes cloths to look like a Kitsumi trader.
The toast is a little burned but she dishes it up, with a smile, with a hot mug of string tea.
Miya skips over to Layla and hugs her,
She says letting her go, and skips around, picking up her Handy havasack, and pulling out a bag of dried fruit and nuts, some Chesse and a lofe of brown bread. A small stove, pot and wanter sking. "Who is for a nice cup of tea, Ill tost some bread and chesee as well." She ste too cooking.
Just before dawn she gets up and does her morning training.

"Rrruh do you know anything about bees and honey making? I have an idea how to use that woodland plot I just paid for. How dose mild magic Honey sound" Then she goes back to the archion, looking for any water mills to other, warehouses being put up. She needed somewhere to keep bear, weat and honey if her plans worked out. "Layla, you best keep an eye out for a Pig Farm, Pig poo is the best place to get salt peter, one of the things you need for black powder."
She is a Magus, Local magic come Alchemist shop, have them move to the tower :)
last of all she spend a little money for a plat of land way in the woods. Sorting a small underground log cabin be built for her to stay in. It has spaces for her to be in fox form. So she could go hunting and keep her low cost things, there.

"Well Gents and Lady" She nodded to the half elf alchemist who had come with her "My good friend Randu is setting up a Bordi-house come Saloon, for local workers and the passing tride. And if I know him well, it will be a hit. So I gavered you here becouse this place up until recently made what passed for ale in this town. Well that is all about to change. We my good workers of this fine house of beer, are going to make batter and expand." She indicates to the half elf. "This is Arnira Greenwood and she is going to help you make this not just a bew house but also a distillery. Brew master Hooper, I hear that other then the swill your last owner made you make, on the side you made a dark ale, sweet at nuts and hard hitting like a Dwarf. That is the ale I want you to make from here on out. From that Arnira will make a liquer that will knock your socks off." She steped back to a cart that they had come on, which had bags of grain on and a thing clovered in cloth. She pulled the cloth off to reveal a sign.
"I have local glass blowers working on bottles and the pinrters doing lables. Here is Gain, and.." She held out a bag of coin. "Seed money to start you off with Brew master" he looked at the bag and the cart then could not help himself, the large man ran over and huggered. "This will keep 20 or more family's in work" He said putting her down. "Thats the plan." Miya added. "O and this is a cooperative ender. I paid for the place but its a lone only. I have the paper work here. Once you sign, YOU all own it, you will share in he risk and profit. Once you pay me back that lone" She gave them all a look and wink "So you want in?"
She takes her money and buys one of the small chartered parcels of land high in the Hills, and has a summer house built on it. She calls it 'FOXHOME' and talks to a local farmer to look after the place while she is away.

The somber and serous Kisune stands a moment then shifts back into the playfull Miya. Then she skips after the others, that child like grin on her face once more, Its as if there are two personalities in her. The Grim and deadly Kisune and the child like Miya.
She nods, "So it is with me, but I act out of honour for my craft" She says, checking her clothing so that it fits right for her true form.
"I will make this quick, you will feel little pain." Miya stands, She shifted form into her true Kitsune from. She took out a white head band and stied it behind her forhead. Then she took out some water from her pack and washed her hands. When ready she put her hands together and pulled them apart, a shadow forms into a Naginata. A staff with a long blade at the end. Now ready she moved to the 1st man, and formally bows to him and the moved to his side. "I send you to the beyond, with this act you have paid for you sins." With one swing she cuts off his head.
She moves to the next man and respected the act.
And the next.
When done she closed her hands the shadow weapon faded away. With more water she washed her hands. To each she again bowed and carefully lay's them at rest and places each head on their chests. All with respect formal respect. Last off all she took off the white head band and set fire to it, letting it blow away on the wind. Once done again she washed her hands. She turned and looked at the others. "You should know this is my true form, I took my true from so their souls know who sent them to the beyond and So their souls do not see revenge on you from the beyond."
Miya who had not moved or said anything until this point spoke as the sound of the gun. "Layla, If you kill in cold blood, thats murder. That is something that would not sit well with your soul. I however make my living form death, it is as much a part of me as breathing. And my soul knows its wight, for I am an laws Executor. And those who are marked for death must be respected." She stands and looks up into the night sky. "If you do not intend to take them back to face justice, then I will strip them naked and send them into the night. You need not know what comes after that." She looks back down at the criminals.
She sits cross legged in front of the lad, her fox mask on with just her eyes visible. "Now my friends here want to ask you some things, if for one moment I think you are lying, I will hurt you really really badly." she says this as a matter of fact not as threat, it will happen if he lies. "If they like what they hear, you will have a chance to run form here alive and never ever come back." She then waits for the others to ask what they want to know. Never taking her eyes off him.
She whispers back. "Miss Night says we are to recover information. If he talks and tells us what he knows, Then we have that. After that we can ether let him go or drop him off with the local law. For now lets just get what we can out of him" She says to Rrruh.
She kicks the prisoner "Get up you. Your going to live, we are taking you in for questioning. If you give a full and frank details, they will take that into account. Try and run and we will hunt you down for the sport of it."
"Surender or there will be more pain" She says to the scared lad.
Miya is waiting as the one comes running.
As he runs past she strikes.
As the others had got ready she had gone ahead, climbed high and let them villains pass under her, dropping down she covered the retreat with Greage oil. Skinking once more back into the shadows, should any get past the Greece she would be waiting.

To me, the act of taking a life by design is an act of homage to them and is to be done with honor. When I take life by design, I respect them and give them the honor of my finest craft. But you all have to ask yourselves, would you be happy for me to use this? Or if you choose to sell it, happy for another too. What if the daughter or son was taken with it? All I can say is, I live my life by a strict set of rules. The killing of the Young or innocent combatants by design is forbidden. If I were to used this on a subject of my act they would be ones who desired such a fate. To that end I would be reluctant to see this in the hands of those without such rules. Who would take life without honor? Destroy it or let me use it. But to sell it, would not have honor in my view. This item's fate is for the party to decide as a whole, not for me alone. I only wanted to share my views." Her views stated, She places it back on the shelf and goes to see if they have missed anything.
Holly Molly, ok did not expect a 95k items to drop, that adds a hole other level to this. But I think even if it was worth a Billon gold, Miya would not want to sell it. She said to use it for the greater good or destroy it. And there is the problem for the rest of the party. Q: Is would your PCs be happy to sell such an evil thing? Miya is not, that's why she said 'Use or destroy it' But Even IF used for good, The moral query... Using it or selling it for coin to be sued for good, Is this not just
That kind of greed can be very bad for one's life, spirit, and even soul. Heading one down a very slippy road... Miya is a pragmatist but also does not want this to fall into the wrong hands. But is she wrong? is she starting on a very dark path, the same as the group if they sell this evil item... As the saying goes, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions. " :) |
