The chronicle sheets for School of Spirits seems to have the wrong subtiers listed for items available. For example, the "All Tiers" include the Ghostsight Gloves, which only appear in subtier 4-5, as well as a number of other items. While all the items listed under "Subtier 4-5" appear in both subtiers, I'm fairly certain the two were switched.

I just checked all the items on the Chronicle Sheet, and it does appear they switched the boxes. Nice catch! I don't always look at that.

Any chance this can be updated in the PDF? I wouldn't imagine it to be very difficult, but I could be wrong. ;)

I assume the goals can only be completed going forward? I can't just check off things I have completed before the cards were released. Just want to make sure, because I know this question will come up.

Why wouldn't they get it?

Sorry, I should have clarified. I have a regular campaign character who has played Confirmation and gotten the free reward. If I play it again with a Core campaign character and it is his first chronicle sheet, does this count as the first time any of my characters have done this, since Core is technically a different campaign?

Rick sounds like a wonderful person to have known. My condolences.

Yes; use the image extraction feature of Nitro Reader (which is free).

Note they will be extracted with the alpha channel intact (which is what causes the black in some image programs) -- you can simply save them to a format that doesn't support transparency (.jpg, .bmp, etc.) to convert the alpha to white (which is likely what you want).

Thanks, Aaron, I'll give that a shot. I did use Nitro Reader to extract ALL the images from the pdf into a folder. This works also, but you get all the different layers too. You end up with a ton of pics, but it's easier to pick out what you need vs copying one at a time and saving them.

Has anyone had any luck getting these images to come out correctly?

Has anyone had any printing issues? I printed #6-06: Hall of the Flesh Eaters tonight and all the images have black squares behind them which obscure a fair amount of text. This is the first one from season 6 I've printed, so I don't know if other scenarios are like this or not.

I had something similar trying to print hall of the flesh eaters.

This was at the office, and I figured out that I had to let the document finish flattening before printing it on the printer (we have secure print enabled), otherwise this would happen.

That could be the issue. I also did mine in an office. I'll try that out. Thanks, Woran!

A friend of mine has a cleric named Lyra who is Kyra's little sister. She joined the Pathfinders after hearing several stories of her sister popping up in several locations all over Golarion, sometimes at the same time or too far apart to seem realistic. She also heard tales of her at different power levels (represented by all the NPCs people play of her). She signed on to investigate what was happening.

I ran level 2 yesterday for a table of 7. Normally this would be overkill for a mod designed for 4. The party decide to split into two groups, one with 4 PCs and one with 3. This worked out really well. They came together for the BBEG fight, and that was a cake walk, but other than that it was challenging.

Thanks guys. Glad to be aboard!

I have tried your suggestions as well, Liz, and still the same result for me also.

I have stuff in my shopping cart, but every time I click "Proceed to checkout" and enter my password I get redirected to the Paizo main page. Been having this problem since yesterday. Has anyone else encountered this?

I read the scenario multiple times and could not find the answer.

Spoiler:
As far as I can tell, the geode isn't worth anything as it's not listed in the chronicle sheet. It's merely a plot device that is used to contact Amenopheus in part 3.

In PFS, do you have to use the maps provided in the scenario, or can you use something similar? I'm getting ready to run 5-08: The Confirmation, and for the final encounter I was thinking of using the reverse side of the Deep Forest flip mat (which is used for the first encounter). Here's what the reverse side looks like:

Is this allowed? If so, what do you guys think about this map as a substitute?

It used to be a part of the core assumption. It no longer is. The list on the website must be out of date.

Thanks, Katie. That's what I figured, but wanted to make sure. I'm still fairly new to PFS.

Scarab Sages 3/5

So I was looking at the Additional Resources list on the website and it says that the Field Guide is part of the core assumption. But according to the Additional Resources PDF download and the GtoP it is not part of the core assumption. Which is correct?

So what happens if a paladin of Irori takes up Radiance?

There are others who could run into problems, too.

Like a paladin of Kurgess, for example. Because then it turns into a javelin. And by that a fire and forget missile weapon.
Lol, I hadn't considered of that. It would seem the Dev's didn't much much thought into Radiance's transformation quality. Not casting judgement, of course. Still, perhaps it would have been better to ignore that particular aspect.

The devs (me) thought quite a lot about it... and the idea of forcing a paladin of anyone other than Iomedae to use something they likely wouldn't use felt worse than making the weapon into something that would perhaps be awkward for unanticipated paladins. Since those questions I can answer easier here.

Irori: Radiance (aka You the GM) know what the paladin of Irori's preferred weapon is. In most cases, that means the sword would transform into whatever monk weapon that player prefers (especially if, say, he's already picked up something like Weapon Focus for that weapon). Otherwise, another option is to have the sword become handwraps or something that simply enhance his unarmed strikes. It's a little bit unusual, but so are paladins of Irori.

Kurgess: Again, if this paladin has a melee weapon she prefers, it's fine to let Radiance become that weapon. It's also fine to let Radiance become a javelin. In this case... I'd consider giving it the returning quality for free, to offset the fact that the paladin's losing out on iterative attacks with the weapon. Alternately, I'd let the paladin use this particular javelin as a melee weapon. But the BEST BET HERE is to do the same as above and let Radiance turn into whatever weapon the paladin of Kurgess favors.

The "Turns into the deity's favored weapon" is really just short hand for "Metagame this thing to turn into the type of weapon that the paladin in your group...

Here's another question along this line. I have a Paladin in my group who worships Erastil and Iomedae, and since he is mainly a ranged guy, Radiance turns into a longbow. Now, the question came up the other night of whether or not it could also turn into a longsword for the few times he might get stuck in melee since he also worships Iomedae. We discussed it and came to the agreement that as a full-round action it could transform into a longsword. What do you guys think? Does it seem overpowered to let it change into multiple forms? It won't be very often, and I trust the player not to abuse it.

So how did your game go? And I wasn't asking about changes you made to SW. I was curious what you had to change in the adventure. I want to see how 3.5 converts to SW (haven't tried it yet myself).

I'm looking at now trying to run it again with another group but using the Savage Worlds system. Its a small group and I think SW will work pretty well.

We did the character creation earlier today. Think its gonna be alright.

I am just getting into Savage Worlds (starting a Rippers campaign next week!) and love the system. I thought about trying to convert Pathfinder to it. What kind of changes if any have you made, DangerDwarf? Does it port over fairly easy? I would be interested to hear how the game plays out for you. Maybe I will try to convert it over after my Rippers campaign is over.
