Sorry for the delay. I wanted to spend some time searching for a rule which I though existed but wasn't sure where. Originally in the core rules, targets in the water had total cover from creatures on land that didn't have freedom of movement active due to the surface tension of the water. Thus it would not have been possible for anyone to attack the bunyip from the ledge. However in Aquatic Adventures the rule was updated so that piercing weapons could attack with a -2 penalty (plus an additional -2 per 5 feet of water for ranged weapons).

The bunyip tries to hide at the bottom of the pool but Arkolo hits it with 2 arrows and it floats to the surface of the pool unmoving.

I have a class feature that lets me take attacks of opportunity while flat-footed.

The reason that I do it only before the first turn is because I lose 15 points from my AC when flat-footed. If I did it all the time I would quickly run out of arcane pool given that I spend 2 every time I confirm a critical hit.

Mingxia, a woman of obvious Tien descent bows respectfully after being introduced to Karla Wesver.

"I receive your welcome warmly Ms Wesver. I am Mingxia Shen. I admit this will be a challenging endeavor for me. I am a representative of the Eternal Bloom, a troupe of dancers and acrobats who perform to the honor of The Lady of Chrysanthemums. I have been lent to the service of the Pathfinder Society to help make connections across the world for the benefit of our troupe."

"Despite the fact that I am used to traveling in well-stocked caravans with ample amenities, I could not let the opportunity to discover new paths to better relations pass by. Still perhaps the grace of a dancer and the strength of an acrobat will be of some use traversing the rough landscape."

As a dancer, Mingxia does not wear armor, but a light, loose outfit that permits better movement. Around her neck is a hand-painted, wooden holy symbol of Shelyn. She carries her deities favored weapon, the glaive from which multi-colored feathers are tethered by leather cords to the far and of the haft. As she moves her weapon in certain ways, the cords spin and dance in the air creating swaths of color.

Mingxia decides to call on her contacts in the school of Swords to gain access to a lesser leaper’s elixir.

More importantly the issue is that none of this makes sense. How do you know that there isn't an invisible creature waiting to attack us while we are stripped of our gear? I still think this angel has been tricked into doing what it was doing. Stripping out gear makes no sense. It doesn't prove anything about our intent. He accused us of coming to loot a tomb, and Loxx even admitted that is, in fact, why we were here. So if he didn't attack us after admitting we are coming to take something from the tomb, then why the continued insistence that we strip? Something doesn't make sense.

"Esteemed Councilors, before today's proceedings begin it is our duty to appear before you with a most grave accusation. We are prepared this morning to prove right here and now that one of your own, Dorianna Ouidda, is none other than The Spider, leader of Almas cell of the Shadow Lodge, a rival organization to the Pathfinder Society, and perhaps of more dire consequence, a notorious slaver as well."

"Two days ago, we raided the Sailswift, after convincing the sailors to let us inspect the vessel we found a group of captives in the hold of the ship. They were ensorcelled to believe they were actors on their way to a performance, yet I ask you, what actors would be chained is such quarters? You can ask any of them that have agreed to appear as witnesses today. Their enchantments have all expired and they can tell you that it was all a false memory implanted in their heads."

"But by whom were these slaves sent to Almas? Well, see here for yourself, a note we had discovered while aboard the Sailswift, in the captain's quarters, signed with the stylized depiction of a spider, the mark of the one known as THE Spider. Who in this very note admits that they have a speech to give to the 'blasted bureaucrats'. Now who is it that is scheduled to give a speech today? That's right, Dorianna Ouidda."

"After that we followed another lead, to Jarovar Investments, where after some interrogation, the proprietor admitted to an association with both Ruovarn Krillis, the captain of the Sailswift and Senlokto Boraminder, the proprietor of the Captive Audience. He would make deliveries from the Captive Audience to the Sailswift."

"Following that lead we decided to pay a visit to Senlokto Boraminder who upon our questioning him, attacked us without provocation. We defended ourselves, of course, and when Senlokto had been slain he was revealed to be not a gnome but a creature with rubbery gray skin that had only appeared to be a gnome just a few minutes before. So as we were summoning the guard we took our liberty to search Senlokto Boraminder's office. Where we found another note signed by The Spider, who we have already established is none other than Dorianna Ouidda. This note is addressed to a man named Yaro, who we can only assume is the gray skinned creature we'd just been accosted by. As you can see it clearly states that the 'actors' that were being brought in were being sold. Upon further investigation we found a trap door in that office, and stuffed inside that trap door was the body of the real Senlokto Boraminder and some more incriminating documents. We discovered both a deed to the Captive Audience signed by Senlokto Boraminder as well as some work orders for very recent renovations. Now if you carefully look over these documents you will notice a slight discrepancy in the signatures. Those work orders are forged. They were NOT signed by the real Senlokto Boraminder, but the one who took his place, all in an effort to establish a base of operations for slave trading right under your very noses!"

"There is no doubt based on the evidence we've presented here that. Dorianna Ouidda is The Spider, Dorianna Ouidda has been smuggling slaves with both the help of Ruovarn Krillis of the Sailswift and Yaro, a/k/a Senlokto Boraminder of the Captive audience. This is the same Dorianna Ouidda who means to besmirch the reputation of the Pathfinder Society. Not only should her words not be trusted, but she should be made to answer for her many crimes committed in Almas! Thank you."

Diplomacy is base +11 but only +7 if the target audience is good or chaotic.

If this works I may have to take a rank in Profession (barrister) when I have the opportunity.

Biography of your character Nearly everything about Favian Aldori is a lie, even his name. He is no son of the famed fencing school, but has honed his skill with the blade bearing the name of its founder without formal training.

He believes deeply in the "divine right of kings," that those who rule over others are chosen by the gods. Even though he is no liege, it is only because, in his mind, the petulant peasants refuse to acknowledge his rightful status. His actions are pompous, not regal. He knows nothing about nobility or social graces, but acts like he is part of the inner circle.

But he is no Sczarni swindler. Though he has a penchant for falsehoods, he has no skill in it. Every bold claim is as transparent as the obvious bravado it is delivered with. But few people dare to call him out on it. A simple glare from this swordsman has caused courage to falter. He is not above blackmail either. His companion Desmond was a trained circus monkey acquired from the Umbra Carnival is part of an exchange whereby he kept their secrets safe. The other part of the deal is that he uses their resources to conduct a smuggling operation along their route and he reaps most of the profits (caravan vanity, intimidate variety).

He joined the Pathfinder Society to literally enhance his fame and prestige, especially among those of the Sovereign Court whom he feels have the key to his desires for power and authority.

An Osiriani woman with bronzed-skin, straight shoulder-length, chestnut brown hair and eyes as blue as the ocean depths walks into the room carrying a scroll and quill. She is dressed in a flowing cream-colored gown with a matching headscarf. A sash of saffron yellow embroidered with red thread and bangles of gold provides highlights to her outfit, her dainty feet clothed in leather shoes.

She places her book down upon the table and with her now free hands reaches up and removes her headscarf in a single motion, but not only hear scarf, but her hair was well.

Her skin begins to change in color gaining a bluish cast as if her body were suddenly deprived of oxygen before settling on a light cerulean tone all over.

The cream-colored garments seems to fall away in layers until they are replaced by more utilitarian garb under a protective layer of leathers. The quill in her other hand has become a gleaming mithril rapier which is then sheathed at her left side. She reaches into her haversack producing a wig of shorter-black hair which she fixes to her head before placing the bicorne that was once a headscarf atop it.

She takes her seat at the table putting up her feet, now shod in mid-calf high boots.

It's not a hard stop though. We are not required to finish the game on that date. We just have to have the reporting in so that the VOs can finish reporting the convention. damage: 8d6 + 16 ⇒ (6, 2, 4, 3, 4, 6, 4, 6) + 16 = 51 * 1.5 = 76.

The door takes 38 bludgeoning damage and 38 cold damage.

You've done a fantastic job as a GM.

My issue with the scenario are the b.s. design decisions behind this particular monster that glaringly highlights probably the one thing I dislike about Pathfinder.

But my current lack of posting is a time of year thing.

While I do get a chance to post from work usually, I have a lot going on between end-of-year deadlines and our annual performance reviews.

On top of that, I sing in my church choir and this time of year is particularly busy as you might assume. I have a lot of music to rehearse over the next few weeks. (I'll likewise get busy around Easter, but we'll probably be done with part 3 before that becomes a real issue.)

Where did his axe land? Might be worth picking it up so that he can't get it back so easily.

The question is, compared to what?

Large companies like Amazon and large financial institutions that deal in large volume and/or high value transactions can measure their loses in millions of dollars during even a short website outage or the introduction of a particularly obnoxious bug. As such, they tend to have resources dedicated to trying to prevent such things or minimize them when they do occur. Smaller companies like Paizo, not so much. They aren't going to see a return on their investment in personnel and infrastructure to reach five nines uptime.

I agree fewer bugs in production would be ideal, but I understand the challenges of working on an older platform.

Sorry I haven't posted yet. I just haven't had time to finish updating Tortuga between work and other IRL events. I hope to have him ready tonight. I just have to spend some gold. I should have about 25k and was looking for ideas.

Winged boots would be 16k and would make it easier for me to get airborne.

The only possible option for ranged attacks I have are shuriken (crossbows are a joke at this level). I could pick up some durable adamantine ones (only material DR I can't beat at this point). Not sure if they are worth getting enchanted.

Items to boost my AC are pricey. 9k for the next bracers of armor increase, 14k for the next ring of protection boost. Increasing my headband to +6 would be 20k but would not just increase my AC, but Will and a whole bunch of other monk abilities.

I get a ki power at 14th level. I'm open to suggestions, but am leaning towards this one:

Insightful Wisdom (Su): A monk with this ability can spend 2 ki points as an immediate action to give another ally within 30 feet just the right word of advice to prevent disaster. If the ally can hear the monk, she can reroll a single attack roll or saving throw. The ally must take the second result, even if it is worse. A monk must be at least 8th level before selecting this ki power.

I wouldn't want to use it too often as it would eat up 2 of my 12 ki, but it could come in handy in a critical situation.

Shawa knows they are Black Echelon operatives. They are Taldan spies brought back from beyond the grave by an ancient pact as part of the advance forces of the undead invasion known as the Silent Tide.

You also know one additional piece of information.

Will 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Will 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Will 3: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Will 4: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Miss: 1d100 ⇒ 9

Will 4: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

One of the operatives swings blindly.

Elsaurru moves to engage one of the undead.

PA Elven Curve blade: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Damage (slashing): 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Confirm: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Damage (slashing): 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

She cuts clean through it's spine and it collapses to the ground.

Category 5 hurricanes are bad news. Power outages may be the least of your worries. Depending upon the area in which you live, flooding becomes a real possibility. If there are any sort of evacuation orders, whether mandatory or voluntary, please heed them if at all possible.

A quick follow up For Gallows of Madness since the list filled up quickly :)

If you start with a Level 2 character you will not be able to do all three parts with the same character since each one is at least 1.5 XP. The only way to do all three is to have 0,1, or 2 XP on the character to start.

Gallows is for levels 1-3, so it should be possible for a level 2 PC to play all the parts.
