I could add a level 6 summoner if another Pathfinder is needed, but it would be a replay for me, so please prioritize players who have not played it before.

Anyone willing to take over my table of 2-06: The Crashing Wave? I'm burnt out and having trouble finding the desire to keep posting. My players deserve a more consistent GM than I can be right now.
I'd like to play a martial assassin type. I'm thinking maybe swashbuckler with something like the butterfly blade archetype, a female assassin from Goka colloquially known as Lady Pain because she is rumored to make her targets suffer rather than opt for a quick death.
I've head a difficult time with APs running to completion over pbp, I did play Abomination Vaults in a VTT setting and did complete Night of the Grey Death via pbp which is probably just as long as this adventure.
If Nivi is at the table, the best way to out her is to try to cheat. She would likely out herself as it is said she cannot stand cheaters.

Except Alex specifically said that even class features reprinted with the same name are to be treated as errata and that oracles would likely be broken as a result unless they rebuild.

It has to be done manually because the sorting has to be done manually. There was no way to automatically sort entries as they came in as it messed up people who had already signed up. At least none that I could manage when I created the sheet that didn't involve trying to learn the scripting language.

All right, I'll set the game up and invite those of you who expressed interest. Just a word of warning, I will be camping from August 5-12 and then away from 16-19, so we definitely will not be done before the start of the Gameday. Let me know if that doesn't work for anyone.
Have you played 5-08 Protecting the Firelight with this PC? It is repeatable so shouldn't be too difficult to find players.

Hmm
Let me see what I have...
Two ways I could think of the reword the banner trait.
If the banner attached to a weapon or shield, it must be wielded, otherwise the banner must be attached to a pole and held in one hand.
This would allow the use of free-hand weapons and shields but would require two-handed weapons have both hands engaged. So if you wanted to use something like Combat Medic, you'd have to spend the action to change grip before using something with the banner trait.
Regardless of how it is attached, you must hold the banner it at least one hand.
Disallows free-hand weapons and bucklers but allows the use of two-handed weapons with only one hand on.

"Your banner can be affixed to a weapon or shield you are wielding, or held in one hand and attached to a simple pole."
"To use an ability that has the banner trait, you must be holding your banner in one hand or wielding a weapon it is attached to."
So you have 3 options.
Option 1: Flag on a pole. You must hold it in one hand.
Option 2: Attached to a shield. You must hold the shield in one hand, which makes shields that are not held in hand (such as a buckler) ineligible.
Option 3: Attached to a weapon. There is no restriction on the size or type of weapon mentioned in the rules. There are a few sub-options then.
3a Free-hand weapon. You can have the banner wielded while occupying zero hands.
3b Attached weapon. You are wielding the weapon if you are wielding the item the weapon is attached to.
3c One-hand weapon. Simple enough. You must wield in one hand.
3d Two-handed weapon. Wielded in two hands but can be held in one hand and still use banner trait tactics.
That's how it would work according to RAW, but is that last part actually intended? What about the free-hand weapon case. Why free-hand weapons, but not bucklers?

Still no scaling for the moldersoul's decompose ability. That's disappointing.

Seems like some clarification is needed on how tactics that grant free actions are supposed to work. Here is a conversation that happened in one session.
GM Nomadical wrote: ...
But I think we may have misplayed the free movement granted by Tepin's Pincer Attack.
The tactic reads: Signal all squadmates affected by your commander’s banner; each can Step as a free action.
Player Core pg 414, Free Actions wrote:
Free actions don’t cost you any of your actions per turn, nor do they cost your reaction. A free action with no trigger follows the same rules as a single action (except the action cost). It must be used on your turn and can’t be used during another action. A free action with a trigger follows the same rules as a reaction (except the reaction cost). It can be used any time its trigger is met. (emphasis added) Since there was no trigger specified for Pincer Attack's granted movement, it should only have been taken during a PC's turn, essentially the way Ulfgar did. Not as a bonus action out of sequence as Locke and Mannak did.
Contrast this with the wording of the air kineticist's Four Winds class feat. There's no action cost or trigger mentioned, it just grants them a half-speed movement that AFAICT they can take immediately as targeted creatures.
Locke Aldori wrote: I agree with your interpretation.
Looking at the playtest document, there is some circumstantial evidence that this is a result of sloppy editing. Many of the free actions say, "an immediate free action" but not Pincer Attack. However there are other free actions without "immediate" that don't necessarily make sense without the word "immediate" (Ready, Aim, Fire! Valkyrie's Charge is all kinds of poorly worded).
And then there's the consideration that the Commander's signal is a technical trigger.
That's not to argue your ruling but to point out feedback we should all include in our surveys.
On a general note, please consider the effect that a class that grants actions especially free actions and potentially to the entire party, can cause play-by-post games to grind to a halt resolving the tactic. Otherwise, I could see this class getting banned in a lot of non-PFS pbp games.
I have a cleric that could help.

As he has already played this, he would be earning credit for a different character, just using this alias as requested.
Don't forget about this:
Boons and Other Character Options: In order for the playtest character to take a character option that would normally require a Boon, that playtest character must have all of their credit assigned to a character number that has purchased that Boon.
If you want to play a dhampir, the character getting the credit has to have the boon.
Interested as well. Let me look over the playtest rules and make a decision.

How should higher level tables with 3 players be handled? They are legal if and only if all the players agree to play "hard mode."

Not sure if anyone else has had a similar issue, but something went wrong with my subscriptions. At one point I had 3 subscriptions:
Pathfinder Adventure Path
Pathfinder Society Scenarios
Pathfinder Special Edition Rulebooks
I cancelled the Special Edition Rulebook subscription but it seems it might have impacted my Society Scenario subscription. It seems it has stopped somewhere around that time, though that may be coincidental for all I know.
According to the My Subscriptions page it shows the PFS subscription as active but nothing has been sent in a while.
Quote: Pathfinder Society
Most recent product:
Pathfinder Society Scenario #5-03: Heidmarch Heist shipped by 09/28/23
Pathfinder Society Scenario #5-04: Equal Exchanges – Necessary Introductions shipped by 09/28/23
According to that page the next shipment will be 5-09 and 5-10
Quote: Will be added to your downloads late January or early February 2024
MSRP / Paizo.com Price / Your Subscription Price
S Pathfinder Society Scenario #5-09: Equal Exchanges – Skymetal Hoard
Paizo Inc.
7.19 7.19
S Pathfinder Society Scenario #5-10: The Crocodile's Smile
Paizo Inc.
7.19 7.19
So what happened to 5-05 through 5-08? They are not in my downloads and I have not been charged for them. My forum heading doesn't show the PFS subscription even though it says it is active on the subscriptions page.
I sent an email to customer service a week ago and followed up 2 days ago, but still have heard nothing from them. I am really hoping they can restore my subscription and grant me the missing scenarios at the discounted price.
Anyone have an issue like this before? How did it go getting it resolved?

Correct. I subscribed on November 1st. I sent an email but have got no response thus far.
But why do they have to operate this way? Why only authorize once a month? Is this a manual process? It shouldn't be. If you can authorize payment on October 27th, why can't you authorize payment on November 1st?
I don't recall seeing an option to ship as soon as possible when I subscribed. It certainly wasn't clearly presented if it was there.
If fact this is what it says when I go to my subscriptions page.
Quote: You do not have a non-Paizo subscription.
(If you only have monthly subscriptions, your non-subscription items will always ship with the earliest monthly shipment.)
I have no ability to select another shipment option.
I don't want a monthly subscription. I want an as soon as it is available subscription.

Why would you ship something before you know the payment will go through?
My issue specifically is that they sidecarted my Player Core to ship with my next AP shipment in 2 to 3 weeks and gave me no option to have them ship separately as soon as they are available.
I have another idea. How about I can buy the PDF now and when the subscription order ships for it, they refund the PDF price? No, that's not an option either.

Paul Watson wrote: 1) He paid for the PDF and you didn't
2) Most months you'd have got it before it went on sale.
3) Even this month, the vast majority of people got it before release date.
There is no reason why this shouldn't be automated. Releasing the product should trigger the billing of subscriptions and dropping of the PDF after payment. This is not the sort of process that should require manual intervention in 2023.
Paul Watson wrote: If that's not good enough, don't subscribe. Close the subscription at Customer services and pay for the PDF. Which means Paizo will lose out on sales, not just of this book, but of others. Because if I have to cancel my physical rulebook subscription, I will go back to PDFs only.

Exactly. They sidecarted mine to ship with the next AP volume in 2 to 3 weeks. Not happy about it.
My issue right now is their instance on bundling subscription shipments together. I have had the Pathfinder AP subscription for while and then on the 1st of November added the Rulebook special edition subscription. But they sidecarted my Player Core and it looks like they won't ship it until AP 198 is scheduled to ship.
I really don't want to wait 2 to 3 weeks to get the Player Core. I was hoping to have at least the pdf before my Friday night session.
I tried emailing customer support, but no response so far. I'm fine with paying extra shipping to have my rulebooks and AP volumes shipped separately, but there doesn't appear to be an option to request that all items ship separately at their earliest availability.
I'm not asking for early access, but a subscription shouldn't result in this much of a delay.
I guess if this is the way it works I'll have to cancel my subscription and stick to PDFs only or getting the physical books through other channels.
I also have a level 4 I want to play that with.
Honestly, it is incredibly rare. I played PFS since the beginning. I think I was asked to show proof of ownership once, and that is because we were at a table of mostly new players and the GM wanted to use me as a demonstration of how it is supposed to work.
But that's why I only buy pdfs. Saves paper and easier to prove ownership.
GM Watery Soup wrote: 2. Regarding the boon, meh. It's been a while since I've played a game (convention or not) where we didn't have enough GM glyphs to cover the table, although I'll admit I play in a GM-rich (and author-rich) region. I played this with my -2001 and I haven't used it in 7+ levels. *shrug* I don't see anything on the boon that says you can't use it along side the GM glyph hero point. You can have a maximum of 3. Is there a post I missed that says you can't have both?
He uses a Google Sheet for recruitment, not the forums.
Looking at the list of repeatable, one could currently take a character from level 1 to 6 playing nothing but repeatables.
Level 1 - 12 bounties
Level 2 - Intro 1, Intro 2, 1 level 1-4.
Level 3 - 4 bounties, 2 level 1-4.
Level 4 - 3 level 1-4
Level 5 - 1-23, 3-13, 4-07.
Maybe instead of more repeatables, it's time to allow players to start PCs at higher level.
Maybe it could be an AcP boon, say 24/48 AcP to start at level 3/5.
At any rate, it seems like there is little compelling reason to create any more repeatables in the 1-4 range. More exist that a single PC can play.
Banterknell can have my spot.
I am working on a human (aasimar) tome thaumaturge. He works in a shop near a shrine to Shizuru where he creates and sells various talismans such as ofuda (fulu) and omamori as well as mundane calligraphy work, papermaking and origami on the side.
Basalt tries to "rock" the skeleton next to him.
◆◆ Earth Blast (red skeleton)
Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 7 + 1 = 16
Bludgeoning: 1d8 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 1 = 10
◆ Earth Blast (red skeleton)
Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 - 5 ⇒ (6) + 7 + 1 - 5 = 9
Bludgeoning: 1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 1 = 6
