"Uhh..... Let me think! I don't really know much of the base outside this room, that Vinokian guy is real big on secrets. I don't think I can make any fake ones to the grade needed for that place. If you could get your hands on some real I.D's, though, I could alter it!"

Unfortunately the techies in the room don't know much about infiltration. The best they can do is give you an example picture of a uniform and an ID gotten from the internet.

"My business at the factory is my business. I don't care if you hear that I've been captured. You complete your mission and get back to the rendevous point, is that understood? And since you will be entering the factory without me, I will take my leave while you plan. Meet me in the Vehicle bay when you are ready."

He gives the sphere a message in sign language before reaching his hands out towards his shield and spear. As if by magic, they appear in his hands. He then leaves the room.

Without even turning to face you he replies. "He goes with you. I will be going with you, just so you know. Though once we arrive at the staging area we will part ways. I have other things to deal with in the factory."

"Good. Your other friend finally woke up. I am surprised it took him so long considering his power." And with that he just simply turns away from the three of you, talking instead with the odd floating sphere that is wearing a helmet. You may try and listen in if you want as they are concentrating on the map, moving the projected city map to different areas and marking it up.

"Of course they have civilians working there, what else would be working there?" The Vinokian answers, without even looking. After a few more seconds of studying his map he turns back to you. "They commute, normally by train and then by foot. That, and I do not know their uniform, Mccgregor, look it up online. As for how you do it, that does not matter as long as it gets done. If you can manage to get a disguise, go ahead, just try not to draw attention to yourselves. Any more questions?"

When Flinch leaves his room he will find that it is a fairly basic looking place. Very metal-y and future looking-ish.

Flinch will find a handy map of the base next to the door, he will have remembered seeing it when he went to get his machete and vest. The map will be straightforward, and heading to mission control should not be a problem.

As for Alan, when gets back to mission control, you can see The Vinokian still inside, talking with a floating jet black sphere. The two of them are by a table, which is showing a projection of Star City. The Vinokian is zooming in to certain locations and moving about, putting in known V'Sori patrols. When it comes to the eggheads working the systems, they are still there as well, hard at work. You have a choice, talk to The Vinokian and the odd sphere, or talk to the eggheads. Something tells you, however, that The Vinokian would probably know the information you're looking for.

And then comes dave in his apartment quarters. He is correct in that there is no light switch, in fact there are no lights at all. The only lights within are where the wall meets both the ceiling and floor. Think of the lights on an airplane's aisle floor, just a tiny bit brighter so the room at least has some sort of low-light level, that way it is just a tad easier to see.

The computer is a brand new computer, but as soon as you begin using it a pop-up comes up and directs you to go to mission control.

Flinch successfully remembers that he is part of of the Omega Resistance. He was part of the Diamonds and barely survived their fate. You were reassigned with the others, but got separated before the reassignment took place.

When Flinch looks around he will find the quarters to be like a New York flat. It looks like any other apartment, really. When you look on your person you will find you have nothing on you except your clothes. Your guns are on the night table besides your bed, and your kevlar vest and machete are hanging on the wall by the computer.

Make a smarts roll, Flinch

The Vinokian looks at Alan after he speaks for a few seconds, probably detecting the hostility against him from the both of you. "Good. You will be leaving at 03:00. Now get some rest or do whatever it is a gang member would do before a mission." He turns around and walks amongst the various screens being manned by useless lackeys. Look at that, he even goes and talks to some of those lackeys, getting updates on any information they've gathered. Maybe even a few hellos.

You will both find yourselves in a command post type area. In it are some lackeys who cant even fight, they are just there to run the base. Though there are two guards in the room. The figure has put his spear and shield down against a table. once you get to the table the figure speaks, and it is then you recognize the voice of The Vinokian. "I was not very impressed by your show of abilities against the drone, perhaps one drone was expecting a bit much from you two."
The Vinokian is looking Dave in the eye with his optics as he says that, as if what he said was directed at him. "Fortunately for you two, this mission should not involve much fighting whatsoever. If you can keep yourself hidden, that is. I want you to infiltrate the manufacturing plant for these drones. From there, you are to find the meeting room and listen in on the manufacturing reports being given. ONE word of warning to you two gang banging idiots. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT deviate from the plan. I don't care if the manufacturing and programming specs for the drones are right in front you begging to be taken, is that understood?"

The door to the medbay opens and in walks a figure you have never seen before. Standing at 6'5", the figure walks in. If you guessed that the strange figure in the doorway looked like a roman centurion, well... You are right. Once it walks into better light you can see a rather advanced looking suit of armor, even has a touchpad screen on its wrist. The armor covers his entire body, head to toe. The armor is angular and looks flexible enough to fight with a near full range of movement. It is gunmetal gray, and has the classic centurion shoulder pauldrons and of course, the helmet. The helmet has what looks to be an armored gasmask with a Centurion helmet on top of it, complete with a crest of metallic hair. The first thing, other than the armor, that you notice, are the weapons. It carries what looks to be a high powered pistol in a holster on its waist, a round shield at least as big as its torso, and a spear. Other than the weapons, the helmet has no holes for eyes, all you can see are orange optic lights.
The figure walks as far into the room as about 3 feet, then it motions to both of you with its spear that you are to follow. After waiting two or so seconds for what it motioned to sink in, it turns and leaves the room, walking down the hall away from the direction Alan would know as the direction to the sleeping quarters.

Alan will find no answer when he goes to knock. The door is unlocked, so when he goes near it, it slides open like some fancy future door.

You both feel your muscles tense up and at the same time, woozy feeling. Everything blacks out.

The next thing you know, you are waking up.

Alan is in a room that looks to have been made specifically for him.

Dave is in the medilab, after having his wounds treated. The doctor with you states that you should not get up, and rest for a bit.

The first few seconds of having the masks on is.... seemingly normal. You hear hushed whispers from the two guards, the sound of somethign extending....

fighting: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
fighting: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Both of you make Vigor rolls at -2, having just been hit by a stun wands and the effects of the mask.

Once the masks are on, make a vigor roll.

The two men give you an odd look but let you into the car. Both get into the back with you, the car is something like a limo. When the doors close and everyone is inside, the guards produce two black bags. They toss them to Alan.

"Put one one over your friend's head and the other over your own. We don't move until it's done."

Eventually you hear the sound of a car, and then two men in suits and sunglasses find you relatively easily.
"Alan McGregor and David S. Wavaski?

The teleport fails completely. You both teleport into a wall and are forced back to whence you came. You are both shaken. Dave is now at exhaustion level of fatigue. Luckily. Dave /can/ walk on his own, but for how long? Who knows.

You look through all the gizmos and doodads and find a core looking thing. It is a sphere of metal with a motherboard look to it.

Make a Notice roll to find what you hope will be an AI core.

The Soak roll is a success! A benny has been spent and you only suffer two wounds. You are no longer in immediate danger of incapacitation.

Combat is over, Dave has gotten two wounds and is now shaken. You may now inspect the offline and dead mech as you please.

Dave is hit!

damage: 2d8 + 2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) + (5, 6) = 16
explode d6: 1d6 ⇒ 3

19 damage.

Dave takes three wounds. Would you like to take a vigor roll to shake one of those wounds?

The robot is hit by the first strike, but the second misses horribly. Roll for damage on the first strike.

For combat, order is Alan, Mech, Dave. Starting after damage is rolled

EDIT The robot is cut down immmediately from the strike. It cuts straight through its armor and the robot fires its weapon wildly as it collapses and goes offline.

dying shooting: 1d10 - 6 ⇒ (10) - 6 = 4
exploding shooting: 1d10 ⇒ 9

The Robot has begun to start moving in the general direction of Alan, gun moved to be leveled at the waist with one hand. The other hand, moves up to the side of the head as it moves forward. Once the hand gets to the side of its head it stops and sits there. Dave, having followed it for all this time, may realize this would be the best time to strike.

Dave following the robot goes as normal UNTIL Alan gets close enough. It the immediately halts, levels its gun, and begins to look around even more intently than before.

Notice: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

Fortunately for Dave, it has not found him. It however is still on the lookout for that new source of noise in the area.

From its construction you can tell that is has no specific weakpoint, the armor seems to be even everywhere. The most vulnerable point you can see are perhaps the sensors, and that is only because it reminds you of taking out a normal opponents ability to have their senses.

Upon following the robot, it is obvious to you that its already holding its properly scaled up gun. The type of gun, however, cannot be determined yet. It stops every so often to look around more carefully. However its direction is concerning, it is headed to one of the plants.

Only Dave seems to hear the metallic footsteps from your right. When you look, it is what can best be described as some sort of robot. It seems to be on patrol from what you can tell.

Once the populace clears, the officers looks about to be sure nobody else is around.

notice: 1d8 ⇒ 6

Sufficiently positive that nobody else is around, he says something into his radio and then clears out himself.

please make notice rolls

On Dave's end a police officer, unarmed, starts clearing the streets. You can hear him saying something about 'the area being unsafe'

Unfortunately for Alan, he doesn't notice anything Dave did not.

You can notice people walking around, but a strange lack of cars in this area. Other areas of Westpoint had car traffic, but not here. Though it does seem like the foot traffic may be clearing a bit, too. You can only hear the hustle and bustle of the foot traffic.

You get further into Westpoint without being noticed. The place where your mission states to search is just... well, it is simply the very middle of an intersection.

You are successfully unshaken and your stealth goes without a hitch. Don't do anything stupid and nobody will even know you are there.

As you teleport you feel it went wrong. You teleport into an object and hit it, your power automatically throwing you back to whence you came. You are now shaken.

As soon as both commlinks are on, a voice you'd recognize from the news before the V'Sori, speaks to you. It's The Vinokian. "Good, you are all set, then? Your mission is to get me an AI core from one of those new mechs Perez has being made. I know it won't be easy, but I need it intact. And one further thing, you two. You are entering Westpoint. V'Sori patrols are heavy near their plants and moderate elsewhere, try not to make too much noise, okay?.... Good Luck"

With that the commlink connection is cut and your mission has been given.

This is for any OOC questions and discussion!

The year is 2005. The Earth has been under the control of the V’sori Empire for over three years. Humans with extraordinary abilities, commonly known as superpowers, have existed for nearly a century. Those who used their powers for altruistic reasons were known as superheroes. It is believed somewhere around 98% of them have been killed by the V’sori.
Various resistance movements have been quashed by the V’sori, but the most promising has only just begun to act — Omega. Omega was started by the greatest criminal mastermind of the modern age, Dr. Destruction. Its members are largely made up of former superhumans the world once called villains. Dr. Destruction has said that only he is the rightful ruler of the earth — “not some alien scum from the back corners of the galaxy.” You are not the heroes, you are the villains. Whether for good or for bad, you fight for humanity's freedom. You are the neccessary evil.

Before the V'Sori, you were just a petty gang staging itself in New York. When the Fins invaded, you got the hell out of dodge, a warzone was no place to run a proper business. It's a good thing you did, too, because when the V'Sori were done pretending to be humanity's friend and showed their true colors, New York was all but destroyed. You were picked up by Omega back in 2004, when it just began. Stationed in Star City you fought against the alien scum until one tragic day, you were betrayed from the inside. Your cell.. Your gang, The Diamonds, were annihilated. All except for you, you simply happened to be out getting food supplies. When word reached Omega about a new threat, you were moved to the command of an almost legendary villain, The Vinokian. There you would continue your resistance and attempt to slow down the V'sori's latest attempt at creating a force to wipe out all of Omega.

All you know for now is that Mayor Perez has been working with the V'Sori to implement a new police force. You are to receive your first mission and any supplies requested from your new cell leader outside the staging zone, Westpoint. You reach the area with all of your supplies; weapons, armor, even new commlinks. A letter with the supplies tells you to use the new commlinks, and turn them on when you are ready to get moving.
