Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
As he holds her close, he can still feel the tremors in her body as she cuddles in close to his warmth. Her eyes open to look at him for a moment before she stretches, fitting her lithe body to his. Finding her place, body purring with joy, she smiles.

A quick glance at his face and the smile takes a teasing, impish air which doesn't quite match the languor her happy body.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Count me as on board for when life doesn't hate you so much.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
She pauses for a moment, watching him for brief moments, a mixture of everything good that he makes her feel clear in her eyes. A single word, whisper quiet, "Yours." And then she follows the pressure of his hand downward.

She starts with just her tongue, tasting the mixture of herself on his skin, then adding the pressure of her lips and the intake of her breath on the places that make his toes curl. And then sinking him fully into her mouth, pausing, letting the muscles in her throat contract around his head as her tongue plays with his shaft. Then moving up and down the length of him, tongue flicker light at times, solid pressure at others.

All the while her hips moving, the pleasure she is getting from her actions growing.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
Her green eyes spark at the word creative, worlds of ideas spinning in her mind until her lips curl into a smile around his fingers. She sucks out to the tips of the fingers, then licks down the side of his pointer, and takes his thumb into her mouth.

One hand moves lightly, gently, down to rest at the base, squeezing and moving her hand just enough to encourage the thrusts but not the full movement that would be less without lubrication. Her eyes find his and then look down over the space between their bodies. Her free hand slips into her underwear and finds the part that he left very, very wet. She tries to mimic his actions her body responding, but not with the intensity that he gives to her. When that hand begins to play over him again, she has taken care of his critique.

Tongue swirling around his thumb, flicking the tip. Her eyes asking for her reward.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
Her body responds to his touch, her pleasure growing with his touch. The sparks of electric sensation shooting through her body when he teases her core. Her body vibrating, he takes her over the edge, her eyes wide, seeing nothing but him. And when his lips touch hers to steal sound, he feels the low purring sounds of happiness touched with the frantic edge of need.

Her vision unfocused in the afterglow, she begins to suck and lick at his fingers before she has fully returned from her pleasure. However, a smile shows at his whispered promise, command. Her tongue swirls around the digits in her mouth, lingering on nerves, her lips moving with tight promise, and her breath, controlled and strong, pulling inward. And all the while her green eyes find his, full of promise of far more delight and love.

And never one to be constrained only to commands, her hands reach between their bodies, fingers mimicking the motion of lips.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
Her body starts to shiver as he finds her neck, which is joined by a low purr of pleasure as he explores and a near-silent gasp with the final flick. As he repays her own teasing, her teeth bite down on her lower lip, barely keeping the happy sounds silent. At his words, her skin darkens, coloring her body. "Specific?" Almost a squeak. Even quieter, "I want..." her blush going deeper as the words she wants to say flash through her mind, a long pause, a deep breath, hips moving as his talented hands quicken her body, "I want to taste you... to suck... take you totally..." And her voice gets even harder to hear, "And when I have you close to the edge..." Her eyes find his, "I want you to f+&% my mouth as hard as you need to." Her blush a hot jade by this point.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

This is only a test of the broadcast system. Do not be alarmed.

Apparently Kyrademon's browser is being a temperamental biddy and not letting him post. He said he'll work on *that* problem tomorrow and hopefully be able to post then.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
A happy green blush colors her cheeks, but her hands go to the bottom of the overly large shirt she wears. Pulling it up slowly, revealing hips, now just the slightly bit curved, her once again slim waist and stomach and, finally, her breasts, barely contained by the green bra.

As her fingers move to her hips and begin to pull at the laces, Melinda watches his eyes, needing to see the confirmation of his desire for her there. She parts from him for the moments needed to push the pants from her body, a quiet mumbled, [smaller]"Skirts are so much easier to take off," the only complaint.

Her hands return to his body first, fingernails playing down and over heated skin. Then her lips, tongue. Teasing, tasting. The undergarments she leaves to his hands.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
She smiles up at him at the whisper. Her nimble fingers pull carefully at the laces of his pants, her mouth teasing the barely exposed flesh, licking and sucking the head, testing her love's ability to remain quiet.

When she manages to get the clothing out of the way, Melinda pauses, looking up to his sea-touched eyes. The myriad of enjoyable choices dancing through her eyes.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

:)

We just miss you!

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
A low purr rumbles through her body as his hands touch her. Her fingers trace down his body to the hem of his shirt and then up under the fabric. "You give me that too." Her smile turning impish, "And you do have stronger words for it, love." She arches into his hands, her body rubbing against his, "They just aren't so much verbal words as everything else you do."

She pushes his shirt up and bends her body so that she can lay kisses down his chest. Not going to far down, enjoying the feel of his hands on her too much to break that contact just yet.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
She nods, "Very quiet. And never."

Mel moves carefully out of the bed and then with even more care takes the blanket nest containing Milena and puts the baby in the crib. Pausing for a moment to make sure that the green-haired infant stays asleep.

She returns to the bed with far more haste, but taking care to keep her actions very very quiet. Pausing at just the moment she is straddling his hips she smiles, leans forward, and lets her body move, just a bit, against his as she kisses him. In her subvocal whisper, when she pulls just a fraction away, "I love you."

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
Mel looks over at the hanging crib and the otherwise empty wagon. "I can probably move the crib without waking her up again..." Her eyes tinge with worry. "But it might be too cold for her outside..."

Mel looks from her sleeping child to the man she loves. Responsibility at war with lust and desire in her expressive green eyes and her own lust-muddled head not seeing a solution.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Mel steps so she can be alongside Alaric, her hand grabbing his, "So we put all those 'weird foreign notions' through the comforting lens of the familiar so that we can leave them with a better place to live." She smiles at Alaric and then over at Miyaro, "How many countries are there with non-aristocratic rule? Did any of them have a good relationship with Minkai prior to the tyrant's control?"

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
The worry is completely erased by that brilliant smile that lights her face and she starts to purr into his kiss. "Very good," her voice a shade deeper and with tremors of desire.

Her green eyes flashing with happiness, "You," emphasizing the word with a soft kiss, "do not have to ever feel guilty about asking me to do things that I enjoy." Her hand starts to slide down before she catches herself, "Soon?" A pause, "please?"

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
Mel's face and shoulders go a deep green, but her hand goes ever so slightly lower as she nods.

Then her eyes go wide, her voice hurried, worried, "I mean... being parents... doesn't mean we can't do that... right?"

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
Mel goes a little green, in a quiet whisper only for him, not quite looking at him, "So never as long as I really need?" Her blush goes deeper, the words slow, pushed past the happy embarrassment, "I miss your taste..." Her tongue nervously flickering over her lips.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
She leans up and kisses the side of his mouth, "I am still going to delight in the ability to bend at the waist and touch my toes again."

Her hand goes down, playing over the muscles of his torso, stomach, and pausing just under the edge of his pants, "How soon are we able to ask for a responsible baby sitter without being irresponsible parents?" She asks, her tongue darting out over her lower lip.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
Her smile goes a little brighter as she sinks fully next to him, "no belly" A happy sigh as her head fits onto his shoulder and one hand sneaks under his shirt to steal a little extra warmth, "I fit again."

Signpost Kami wrote:
The little kami nods and moves out of your way. |You welcome then be. Rewards great call risks indeed great for.|

Mel waves at the little kami, or at his signpost if he has disappeared, as the caravan enters the forest.

Miyaro wrote:

As you move into the Forest of Spirits, Miyrao ponders your words and purpose.

"I believe that what you propose is possible in Minkai, and perhaps even achievable within a shorter time than it might be elsewhere," she says slowly. "But I think to rally the people to such a cause, you may need to move forward by steps. And ... interim stages may be a necessity."

"Especially if the hard times under the oni tyrant have been making people idealize the ruler from before." Mel shrugs, "I'm not exactly one of the people who knows how to motivate a group of people and change there thinking." With a smile, "In general I leave that manner of planning to Kalimac and Alaric. I'm much better at the immediate 'how do I keep those I care about from getting slaughtered' plans."

A bit later, "What interim stages make sense to you? After all you are the only one here that knows what it is like in Minkai."

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
About a week after Milena was born and is no doubt delighted in the changes she is able to wreck in little things like sleeping patterns of the caravan.

Crawling back into bed near dawn after making sure that Milena is warm, fed, and soundly asleep. Mel, shivering slightly from the night cold, cuddles into Alaric's side. When her body is tucked against his length of his, she looks at him and smiles, delighted and pleased.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Family Wagon/Koya:
Mel smiles at Koya's comment and she then proceeds to go evergreen at Alaric's reply. With a little bit of a glare at her mate as she is caught between agreeing about the actual making steps and the exhaustion of the last two weeks.

Finally with a half smile at Koya, "I'm guessing the actual challenging part hasn't started." Her smile grows as she adds, "So you find her an acceptable grandchild?"

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Family Wagon/Rhost:
Mel leans her head into the caress, extending it for moments longer. She looks up at Alaric with a smile, her dark hair falling back a bit, "Her hair will probably darken a bit when she is older. Mine did." Her smile turns delighted, her fingers playing in the down soft baby hair, "I like the lighter color on her though."

Then more to Rhost, "And... I am decidedly glad she wasn't any bigger," her tone earnestly quiet. Again the delighted smile of pride, "And she'll get bigger." A pause, "Not as big as your Uncle Rhost, though, okay little one?" One hand shaking the babies little fist.

She shakes herself out of the hypnotic reverie that the offspring seems to hold over her, "Thank you for making food, Rhost." She smiles more, "And for managing food cravings over the last few months."

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Family Wagon/Rhost:
Mel sneezes as the sunlight winds it's way into the wagon, but smiles over at the cook. Checking that the baby hasn't drifted off to sleep, she nods, "Seems to be."

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Family Wagon/Lio:
Mel nods in happy agreement of Lio's words. A smile growing on her lips as she notices Alaric's hypnotized state.

However, since she seems to have that same reaction to the green-haired offspring, she really can't complain.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Graff Family Wagon/Lio:
Lio's comment surprises Mel a bit. Looking down at her child she shakes her head, "Not just me." She smiles over at Alaric, "I was most definitely not alone and we did well." Unable to help herself she grind down at her daughter, her fingers stroking the baby's full belly, "Especially this little one," her voice soft, adoring, "But you were just eager to see the world that we promised you, little leek?"

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Family Wagon/Lio:
Mel is sitting up in the larger bunk, her body supported by pillows. She looks tired but happy as she smiles back at the white-haired elven woman. Half in Melinda's lap and half supported by one of her arms, is a small, green-haired baby.

Mel's green gaze keeps returning to the small child on her lap, utterly fascinated by the little person that she helped bring into the world. Quietly to the child, "This is your great-great-grandmother Lio." One of her fingers held in the palm of the small baby, she waves the tiny fist.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer
Myriana Bayden wrote:
Myri smiles, "She is special, isn't she?"

Mel, completely missing the point behind Myri's comment, smiles at the dark-haired dancer one hand protectively on her belly, "She really is." In her case, clearly referring to Milena.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
Mel shoots him a look at is half mock-outrage and half amusement. When she is done eating, she moves to rest her head on Alaric's shoulder, her gaze moving from the baby to Alaric's face with a happy grin.

Kissing his shoulder, "Your daughter." One finger going down to linger on the baby's fist. She grins, "So, green slime aside, we did okay bringing her into the world, didn't we?"

In general most abilities or feats can only be taken once. If you can take the feat or ability multiple times it says so in the feat/ability description, as well as if it stacks or needs to be applied to another ability.

For example: Weapon Focus (bolding for emphasis)

Quote:

Choose one type of weapon. You can also choose unarmed strike or grapple (or ray, if you are a spellcaster) as your weapon for the purposes of this feat.

Prerequisites: Proficiency with selected weapon, base attack bonus +1.
Benefit: You gain a +1 bonus on all attack rolls you make using the selected weapon.
Special: You can gain this feat multiple times. Its effects do not stack. Each time you take the feat, it applies to a new type of weapon.

vs Extra Lay on Hands

Quote:

You can use your lay on hands ability more often.

Prerequisite: Lay on hands class feature.
Benefit: You can use your lay on hands ability two additional times per day.
Special: You can gain Extra Lay On Hands multiple times. Its effects stack.

So the baseline is unless an ability or a feat says you can take it multiple times, you can only take it once.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
She smiles back at him, glowing, "Totally not a fair trade." As she hands over the baby girl, and the cloth she had on her shoulder.

Taking the plate, she moves so that he has a place to sit, eating absently as she watches father and daughter, delighted in the bonding.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Alaric:
<You first.> Her mind delighted with their tiny daughter as she eats, <Koya and Ameiko?> A happy chuckle, <Grandmother and godmother.>

There is a sudden sharpening of her mind, <Mom and Mother. oh, Davor.> A rush, <Love, when you prepare spells, will you please let them know that Milena got here safe and sound?>

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Family Wagon:
A few hours later, when Melinda is woken by the hungry stirring of the child, her mind does reach for Alaric's as she slowly leverages herself into a comfortable sitting position before carefully picking up the complaining Milena.

Alaric:
<Everything okay, love?> Not worried, just ensuring that nothing had gone terribly amiss in her absence.

Her mental touch light, happy, <She's hungry.>

Kyrademon:
Mel takes-10 on a knowledge: planar for the general kami characteristics. Take-10 should give a 31 or a 33 if she can consult with Xander (he has a +12 so should be able to aid-another without fail)

Quote:
He is a kami, you think perhaps of the kind that stands guard over lesser works of civilization, such as signposts and tiny garden statues.

I know that it probably isn't important since we are unlikely to get in a fight with the signpost guy, but your response makes me feel like I didn't roll well enough it get any useful information. If that is the case, I'm okay with it, but if not, when I do an ID roll can I get either useful facts or something cultural related so that I don't feel like it is pointless to put my skill points in knowledge skills?

"Not a secret password as such, but telling him we are here because we must meet with the Kami would probably make more sense to him than telling him we are entering the deadly haunted forest because we thought it would make a good shortcut," Miyaro says.

"And, er ... so the plan is to depose the Jade Regent? But not to replace him with ... the obvious candidate? Forgive me if I am confused, but the strategy here is eluding me."

Melinda looks at Ameiko with a question, then at Miyaro, "Last time we talked about it as a group the obvious candidate didn't have any desire to become Regent so, no." She shrugs, "And frankly while a beneficial dictator or emperor is preferable to a tyrant, if we are going through the effort of overthrowing a corrupt government it makes far more sense to set up an independent form self-governance where the people in the country have the ability to determine their rulers. And remove them, so this doesn't happen again just because you slaughter the 'proper' people." She smiles at Alaric, "You are far better at being precise."

And to the kami, |And we were planning on traveling through the forest first to avoid the oni minions of the Minkai tyrant and, secondly, because we were asked to meet with the kami of the forest.| She smiles, |We know it is dangerous, but what lies at the end of our journey will not doubt be harrowing, so the experience is a necessary one.|

|True that maybe is,| he says. |Forest safer not. If seek a shortcut merely you, cannot let you pass. Too dangerous, too dangerous. Around go West and a boat take.|

"Is there a reason we are concealing our aim in traveling through the forest from him?" Miyaro asks quietly in Taldane.

"Did he just suggest that we go home the way we came and take a boat to Minkai?" Mel asks, not entirely sure that she interpreted the small creature correctly.

And to Miyaro, "Only in so far as I sometimes get scolded for being too open with strangers." Turning back to the signpost kami, |That would add months to our journey and be no safer, since the tyrant's allies would harry us in an ocean journey as well.| She shrugs, |Since our intention is to remove him from his stolen throne and ensure that the people of Minkai are free from such tyranny, he and the five winds object to our continued existence.|

To Miyaaro, "Did the kami who sent you give you a secret password or something? I mean... You did recommended the journey through the forest, didn't you?" Mel asks reasonably.

Mel smiles at the small kami, then looks over at Miyaro questioningly. |Miyaro told us that the road was full of patrols and guards of the despot on Minkai's throne. Since they would try to kill us, the forest seems safer for travel. At least for us.| Which seems an easy enough reason for Melinda, at least.

Makoa:
Quote:

Very well. I shall explain.

A shaman is one who has been invested with special power in order to further the interests of their tribe.

Some of your answers to my questions have been wise, and some have been unwise. There is no shame in the latter; you are yet young.

However, you have confused your tribe with your friends, and, as I think you yourself realized at the end, your responsibilities as a shaman with your basic responsibilities as a person.

Your friends are something that you choose, and you bear the same responsibilities to them that any mortal being does. And your answers to my questions have been along those lines.

A shaman's tribe is something that chooses the shaman. Often, as in this case, it is based at least in part in a hereditary relationship. But not always. And the choice is always the one who is most likely to further the interests of the tribe.

The tribe for which you are shaman is the Defiled Corpse tribe of orcs. It is their interests that you are tasked with furthering. Your other answers have simply reflected your ideas about your basic responsibilities as a person to your friends and loved ones.

Why have you been chosen? I can only imagine in this case that the tribe needed someone who would fulfill a task far from the Hold of Belkzen. In Tian Xia, more likely than not. I presume it is therefore not to lead them to victory in battle or crush their foes. I think you have had some hints already as to what your task as a shaman might eventually be.

If you wish to take your tasks as a shaman seriously, those are the hints, signs, and portents you should be attending to. Your duty right now is most likely to learn why it is you that has been chosen. And the next step will likely be a logical one.

Some chafe under the constraints of fate, but remember that those who are chosen are, by necessity, those who will want to perform the tasks they have been given.

And if it helps, remember that your daughter will also be a scion of the Defiled Corpse tribe, and what service you do for them, you also do for her.

Traveling before Milena's birth

Melinda absorbed what Makoa said to her, and in the weeks following she mulled over his words. Finally, one day, exhausted from the heavy burden of her daughter:

The first sign was finding your gifts at Brinewall, indication that this journey east was part of what was needed for the tribe. Since it is unlikely that the Jade Emperor is a direct enemy of the Defiled Corpses, either he is aligned with a force that means them harm... Or along this journey we will find that person.

The second sign was the foretelling of the giant in the fey city of dreams and nightmares. Which indicates a focus of the enemy of my people: Lamashtu.

And along the way so far, we thwarted one of her allies - Sithhud. His rise would have weakened Pazuzu, one of her most stalwart enemies. The destruction of his consort's child and one of his hopefully more powerful agents on Golarion, those plans have suffered a set back.

Have I missed signs? worry tinging her mind. Proof that even if she would not have chosen this responsibility, she takes it immensely seriously.

Her mind voice quiet, questioning, And Lamashtu is your enemy. And when she killed Curchanus, she broke something in my tribe..."

After the dim sum breakfast, as promised, they head back to the caravan housed in the royal stables. From her parents there are three presents: a small campfire bead ("Not as exciting as Myri's fiery arrows of doom, but so that you can always have fire."), an amulet of natural armor +1 ("To add to your tank-ness"), and a beautiful bow decorated with etched flames (small +1 composite longbow (STR 12); "Sadly, not a flaming bow").

After thanking everyone, Melinda gives every person a tiny cloth wrapped gift. In explanation, "Alaric keeps reminding me that Milena will be a loud, squalling baby before long. I figured that having to hear her is more of our responsibility."

Nothing fancy, but for Mel it is Alaric and that is exactly what she needs. She gasps with pleasure and need as she feels him, one hand reaching for his, needing that connection.

It's almost enough to make Melinda forget the existance of their daughter.
