Loam is in a module right now, but we're apparently close to the end and the GM is trying to have it done before Gameday. I might rather play her, if others are amenable to wait a bit.

Looks good to me! Depending on what we play I may switch characters, but I don't have many in this range, so probably not.

No plans here. I need to see if this brings Melea to 7, which will take a fair bit of digging.

If we're still going, I'd rather not GM next. I signed up as a GM for the special, and while it doesn't look like I'll have a legal table, who knows if it'll stay like that.

Without wasting time on gloats or congratulations, Melea tries to stabilize Helkit before her good aim bears bad news.

Once I'm up in initiative, that is.

Melea steps forward to shoot, further augmenting her bow. "Remember, you are entitled to surrender at any time," she calls over> She doesn't bother to keep any audience members close by out of the loop.

With Helkit still taking her time, Melea keeps firing at an opponent who might actually reach Pathfinder lines.

Melea sends Galilah forward on a short, cautious path before firing again. No point in taunting Helkit to action, and it'd feel like playing into the Tymon game.

Melea keeps Galilah back for now. The leopard would either outpace her allies to the competition, or fall into or asleep in a hidden pit. She instead fires almost outside her range, crowd enjoyment be damned.

Melea sighs heavily. She was already prepared to hate this event and everything it stands for, but she didn't expect what just happened.

But I thought it was great!

Melea casts a few spells on herself to ensure inevitable cheating is noticed.

Perceive Cues and See Invisibility, lasting fifty minutes and an hour.

"Is Galilah allowed to participate?" The aasimar tries to phrase her question passively, and the leopard is currently gamboling about harmlessly.

Melea's distaste with this subject and the city at large has left her ignorant to its finer points. "Let's just get this over with. If we didn't think ourselves capable, then there would be issues. But we will win."

"You seem eager to run us out of town, at this level and as an organization," Melea adds. "This shows that somehow, we are better acquainted with Tymon's rules than you. We are free to be here and air our grievances." She puts extra emphasis on the last word, hoping it pierces Helkit's thick skull.

The aasimar notices the ploy Makras is trying to pull, and goes along with it for now. Maybe she's tired of trying otherwise. But this time it could work out in everyone's favor.

Melea has also heard of this one, and shares Torku's misgivings. "Even if it could help, it's risky. She's combat-ready, I assume. Powerful politically, too, so she might be able to ignore concessions at her defeat despite the backlash.

"And if she sets the terms...is there anything encouraging her to keep it fair? She could choose single combat, or force us to eschew weapons."

"You're probably right," Melea gripes. "Because Deadeye forbid a sensible solution be reached when one could show off for the masses instead?"

If I ever caught sight of him with See Invisibility, I'd like to pursue until he manages to run or hide. Otherwise I'll give up on that.

If the Besmaran seems beyond reach, Melea immediately turns a wand on Galilah. "He's gone," she replies offhandedly to Vulpina. "Hard to say if I'd rather he showed up again."

"Sadaf, if you could keep Galilah whole and hale for a moment...?" Melea steps into the center of the room, scanning it with the eyes of a hunter.

Using my See Invisibility racial spell-like. If possible I'd like to try and act as though I don't see him for the moment, if he's even still around. Maybe a Bluff check?

Edit: You can get ninja'd by ten minutes if you dawdle enough! Galilah will step as appropriate if thugs drop.

Melea's bow is in hand as she sends Galilah at Percy's friend. Even the leopard's fearsome speed isn't enough to knock him down, thanks to the bog. But hopefully it gives him something to think about.

Melea isn't incredibly stealthy, but she doesn't seem concerned by the awful muck.

"From what I have heard from his lips, wading through a bog is not sufficient punishment for this one," Melea says with a sidelong glance at Makras. "But we'll endure. You have been unduly endangered enough."

"That's true," Melea admits. "But our Society does seem to employ a worrying amount of lunatics. Fortunately, my sentence has but a few more years left."

Melea gives Makras a look of utter confusion and some anger before slamming her bow to the deck. The aasimar then hurls herself over the side after the man.

With Bull Aspect so I'm less likely to drown.

Hopefully she manages to save him (although she may have trouble returning to the boat). If so, she doesn't give him a moment's respite. "Elaborate. What exactly are we missing?"

Intimidate: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21

More withering glares might be reserved for some of her own team, especially if they object to the pirate's rescue.

"So, when a good influence is around, you may follow their example? Better than the alternative, I suppose."

Melea has to think about the many factors that might befall these pirates. "The law isn't merciful back in Tymon, or so Captain Smine said. They needn't be doomed to the arena after so sound a defeat. We can let them float for now. If we see them on the way back, time wouldn't be an issue. You could go ahead to report while I scared them straight."

Melea passes by each body that isn't obviously dead, looking to keep them on this side of the Boneyard with stabilize. She then watches the exchange, bow at the ready. Hopefully it yields as much information on the pirates as it has for her comrades.

"Very well. Galilah, back!" Melea steps away from the pink pirate, beckoning her leopard to return to her. Well, to take a roundabout route with an obstacle in the way.

Melea decides against the potential disaster of sending Galilah to the other ship. She instead heads to the leopard's side, giving her a calming pat in passing, then draws and fires another arrow.

"Old Deadeye guide your shots! The woman is a mage, prioritize accordingly."

Melea is annoyed enough that foolish act(?) has persisted this far. She heads to the other side of the ship, nocks a blunt arrow, and lets fly. Considering how far away the target is and her unwillingness to kill, it'll probably just reinforce the incompetent image.

Move, activate Bull Aspect, fire.

Melea retrieves her bow as well, calling Galilah over to the side with her. The poor leopard took enough coaxing to get on the boat. If trouble arises, the aasimar makes sure her charge is well protected.

Readying to cast Shield of Faith on Galilah if the reptile gets aboard or tries to.

Melea nods in sympathy. "They will answer for their needless bloodshed."

"My companion may be prying," she continues after Vulpina's pronouncement, but the aasimar barely holds back a groan when she realizes the Lady is probably onto something. "We don't know where you were at the time, and we will be seeing the culprits one way or another. Our questions may serve no purpose but upsetting you. Feel no need to answer unless you wish to."

Possible candidates for this theft include those too small to care about issues like Mendev...but the Aspis looking to spite us is distressingly likely.

Though killing is likely not far in the future, Melea still looks relieved that the charade is over.

She does inquire about Demeliah's husband to Smine. It could prove useful to know, and she'd rather ask someone who it wouldn't be rude to talk about it with. "Was he a Pathfinder, a dockworker running our supplies? Or perhaps just someone who ran afoul of pirates? I suppose that could be a fate all too common around here."

Melea was raised a long way from any substantial body of water, save the occasional river. When the team is talking nautical tactics (likely in a public place), she chips in with advice. It could apply quite well to, say, traveling over long stretches of plain or forest, but isn't at all useful here.

The aasimar also reluctantly partakes in the drinking. More accurately, she orders one the bar's lighter drinks, downs a small portion of it over a long time, and excuses herself. She tries to make it look to the sailors as if she's about to be sick from even such a weak libation.

Bluff: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25 + 5 if it seems like a 'likely lie'

Melea looks a bit taken aback. "Of course our aggressors will have the choice to surrender. I used to think that went without saying, though I'll admit to being less sure with every mission I undergo. I was asking about the city's gladiatorial bouts, though it doesn't have much bearing here."

Melea has heard similar stories of Tymon. She is less vocal about her dislike of the system, but there's obviously some there. She goes for a question less relevant to the moment to get her thoughts away from the subject quicker. "Are all the fights here to the death? If not, I would assume the Champion determines the fate of the defeated. But sometimes they are in the arena themselves."

"More importantly, we will do our best to retrieve the cargo. They'll see the mistake of attacking us and hurting a venture that is for the good of all."

Melea shakes any proferred hands with a small smile. Her eyes move over the strange dwarf (for whom she is grateful didn't go for a handshake), to the others and their bickering. I suppose I need context on the Shelynite he's possibly mocking before I pass judgement.

"It seems as if you've been on assignment together." The aasimar doesn't like having to restate what was just said, but can't think of another inroad on the spot. "Perhaps I was sent to fill in the void of this Korum's absence? Old Deadeye's flock has little time for art, but our end goals have no reason not to coincide with fair Shelyn's."

A very tall, green-skinned woman enters the meeting place. She wears a hodgepodge of rural garb and camouflage gear, as well as some simple armor over it all. All manner of tools and weapons line her belt and are evident in a bulging pack. Chief among them is a massive bow engraved with glowing antler and feather patterns. The latter match some plumage at her hairline, which is hard to discern as added or natural.

"Melea," she introduces herself curtly, inclining her head to Torku. There doesn't seem to be any of the expected aasimar-tiefling rivalry at play - just the way she greets unfamiliar folk. A leopard gambols in her wake, and she scratches it with much more warmth. "And this is Galilah."

Seattleite here. I'm the only one in my housing unit to go out to work, and that's only sometimes. It gets me both a lot of requests to pick things up and some people shying away from whatever I bring in.

"Thank you, Mykel," Melea says, lowering her bow. "Kahwen, if you ever wish to talk about this..." the aasimar comes ever so close to nominating someone else, but plows through. "I am here to help."

Huh, not sure how I didn't remember Thralls tied in. I've played that one too. I might back out if I'm only going to do the scenario, but probably not. This way I'll get it under my belt.

Melea has her bow trained on Orielle. The succubus probably knows she probably isn't about to get shot, but the aasimar is waiting for Kahwen to kill her. She mutters a prayer to Erastil in apology for letting this demon exist any longer than is needed.

Melea has played Day of the Demon! I didn't remember the connection.

As for the three-parter, I think I've played the last scenario in it (on another character). I'd be okay with playing the first two if you didn't mind my dropping out after. I'll take a short bit to think about whether I want a reserved seat.
