![]() @Arie IJzer: Thanks for the feedback. Shoanti actually works well, so the names and places in Melanie's backstory have been changed to protect the innocent ;p Her character sheet is also now ready for review. ![]()
![]() Here's the updated applicant roster for everyone's information. Holler at me if I missed anyone. Name/Alias - Character Concept

![]() I'd like to submit Melanie, a tiefling sorceress with the wildblooded fey bloodline who I played through book one previously, before the campaign dissolved :( Please let me know how you feel about her concept and backstory for your campaign. I know some tweaking will be in order from the previous campaign, so her character sheet isn't finalized yet, but can be once I have your feedback. As for her role, think of the "savage princess" type--with a boa constrictor companion. I may even see about eventually getting said boa a size category or two larger than normal. Funny you mention eastern things and wayangs, as those happened to be a part of her backstory, but it's just fluff and doesn't need to be tied to the campaign itself in any way. If you still strongly oppose after reading her backstory, I can see about making adjustments. ![]()
![]() After some difficulty posting earlier, I'd like to submit Wendee Masterson--Human Magician/Soundstriker Bard and life of the party, looking to support the party with her repertoire of skills and buffs, and hoping her puns don't get her into too much treble. Description/backstory and character sheet is in her alias. ![]()
![]() @GM Sigma: No problem. Yeah, it's a lot more than I thought! I'd prefer to avoid too much overlap with other applicants, but this girl's been waiting in my concepts for a while and I think this campaign sounds like a good fit, so I'd like to submit a human female magician/soundstriker bard. I wasn't even aware of the Fire Music feat when I came up with this concept, but that should actually give you a good idea of what I have in mind. I'd like to start her at "middle age" (35), including the appropriate modifiers to physical and mental ability scores. Would that be ok? Also, if possible, I'd like to play her as blind (with all appropriate penalties for such). It'd be something she has always lived with, so would you consider allowing blindsight (60 ft.?) to compensate? This also fits with her being a musician, for whom sound is very important, for nearly her entire life. ![]()
![]() While deciding what character concept I should go with, I thought it'd be nice to sort through the applicants thus far to make things easier, so here's that info for everyone else's benefit as well. Apologies for any mistakes. Player/Alias - Character Concept

![]() @GM DFang: Just making this part didn't get lost in the shuffle--Lise is Lawful despite representing Milani, who does happen to be very close to Iomedae (possibly represented by Ashe), and an arch-enemy of Asmodeus (possibly represented by Deiros), so being on the Order side sounds like it would be more fitting. However, if Milani really has her mind set on something else... well, I guess that's that :p Also, updated character info is in alias. ![]()
![]() I see Mistress Morgana was looking at Calistria as well, so thought I'd note that, if it makes things easier, Lise could just straight-up represent Milani (I had Calistria for flavorfulness, but can just as easily do without). In that case, given Milani's relationship with Iomedae, I'd say she'd be much more likely to represent Order, which is fine with me. Just putting it out there. Also, looks like I dumbed on Lise's languages, so she wouldn't have Draconic. Whoops. @ZaGstrike: There are a lot of nice race choices for oracles (mechanically speaking). Dhampir has some interesting potential with the Bones mystery, but drow, changeling, half-orc, human, or aasimar/tiefling(variant) would work well, too. Even gnome, halfling, half-elf, and catfolk mesh well as "less-traditionally evil(?)" options. You really do have even more options than that though, so try to narrow it down to a few races you like if none of those above grab your attention. ![]()
![]() @GM DFang: Thanks, here's my submission: Name: Lise [pronounced li-se] Kharisthana
Personality & Background:
Description: Lise is of slender build, standing at 5'5" with dark green eyes and long, black hair worn straight and unbrushed. Very fair skin and the unnatural grace of her movements accentuate an indelible beauty. Her musical voice and melodic laugh betray an ancestry not altogether human. Background: Lise was to be born to human parents before an encounter with a vampire left her father dead and her expectant mother struggling to retain her humanity. Almost certainly due to some aasimar heritage that had remained dormant for generations, Lise's mother found--or perhaps was given by an unborn Lise herself--the strength to live as a human until the child was born.
Personality: Lise believes in hope and justice despite the often cruel nature of reality. She despises those who abuse whatever power they may wield, and acts methodically in removing one despicable target after another. She has no romantic aspirations of heroism or recognition--she simply lives by her own code: to murder those who deserve it. Not only does it give her a sense of purpose, but such villains often live a life of luxury they can no longer enjoy when removed from the world--and Lise has come to appreciate some of these "repurposed" finer things.

![]() This sounds very interesting. I'll see if I can adapt my character from a failed Curse of the Crimson Throne campaign. Notes/questions:
