INTRODUCTION
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ever since Asmodeus killed his brother Ihys, the other gods are always wary despite the peace they've had since the War of Heaven. They all agree on one thing however, a conflict directly involving the gods would destroy all of creation.

Now, their peace hang by a thread as the rift between order and chaos rage once again. Already, parts of the universe have distorted and threads of time merged. Gods who stand between finally intervened and proposed to let their creations battle in their stead. These neutral gods have spent the next decade designing the battle ground while the other gods plan and scheme their way to victory. And so, people and creatures of all ages have been disappearing from across the land over the years where they sleep in the Void until they have been called by the Neutrals. Blessed or cursed, willing or not, they will represent the gods in the final clash between Order and Chaos. But first, they must prove themselves worthy to reach the final arena or die trying...

CAMPAIGN INFO:

You have been chosen by a god to represent him or her. Select one Lawful or Chaotic god to represent and your backstory must explain why you have been chosen and how they convinced/forced you to accept. Neutral gods cannot be selected. These gods may range from Good to Evil. No two characters will represent the same god in the final party.

You know your god is part of an alliance who plans to put together a small team of heroes (or villains) to lead the others. They drop you in a unknown world where you will eventually meet the other candidates. Together, you must find a place called The Pantheon of Ages where the final clash will take place. The only clue you are given is a small smooth spherical orb and a warning:

"We will do what we can to make sure you reach the Pantheon but know that the other side will also do everything they can to prevent you from reaching that place. Find the others, each one holds a key to find the Pantheon."

Campaign Details:
- Two groups of 4-6 companions to represent the Order and Chaos, depending on the number of submissions for each side.
- Fast paced. Level-up after every 2-3 encounters/challenges.
- Mythic Ascension by level 5 or higher, individual or sub-group trials (depending on patron deities).
- Only up to two PCs can take the same Mythic Path within their group.
- Death is final. No replacements. Only the survivors will battle the other group in the Pantheon.
- The two groups will tangent each other a few times, whether they know it or not.
- Ascension opportunity will not be declared. I will design the trial/challenge according to your backstory and patron deity, then present you clues on how to find it as the story progresses. If you miss it, then you'll approach the final battle as a non-mythic PC. It will always be tied to your deity's principles.

Ascension Opportunity Example
Patron Deity: Iomedae.
Final Clue: In a flash of light, a bright object falls from the sky into the plateau where a horde of undead will soon charge through to get to the fort you now stand in, a devourer clearly leading the charge. Even from afar, you realize that the fallen object is a large sword whose guard forms a golden starburst, shining in holy light. All your companions are below, frantically arranging the defense of the fort, and you only have a few seconds to decide before the horde overruns the plateau ahead of you reaching the blade. What will you do?

APPLICATION:

I'll be taking submissions until 07/27/14.

Things that I want to see in your submission:
- Preferred group to join: Order/Chaos
- Patron Deity NOTE: you don't have to have the same alignment.
- Mythic Path
- Character Description
- Character Personality (include Strengths, Weaknesses, Quirks, etc.)
- Character Background
- Character Stat Block or Alias

NOTE: Personality and background must be related to you character traits (see CHARACTER CREATION).

CHARACTER CREATION:

- Starting Level 1
- For Stats, roll 4d6 (remove the lowest) 8 times and take the 6 highest scores. You may assign them to abilities freely. If you get a buy-point equivalent less than 21, you may do a complete reroll.
- For HP, use maximum. Next level HP will also be max until level 5; we'll roll for HP afterwards.
- Average starting gold, but only for equipment.
- 3 traits , 1 drawback NOTE: One of the three traits can be a campaign trait from any paizo campaign, just send me a link.
- All paizo materials, no 3PP. ACG is allowed, but character will have to be remade upon release of guide next month. RACE must not exceed 15RP.

DISCLAIMER
------------------------------------------------------------------------
This campaign may deviate from published Pathfinder lore.

.

Well I'm interested, I'll post back with character info later.
( on a side note the concept reminds me of dawngate. Though I'm guessing you haven't heard of that. ) Also, by lawful and chaotic do you mean we can choose both lawful and chaotic good and evil deities or just lawful good and chaotic evil kinda thing?

Grand Lodge

No, I haven't heard of dawngate. I'm not that deep in d20 games yet. :)

Lawful may cross to Evil and vice versa. I've already mentioned this during the interest check thread so just in case you haven't seen it:

"I wouldn't mind having Evil in the mix on either side, just as long as there's no backstabbing. Internal conflicts of ideals adds flavor to the story, but spoilers are different IMHO."

Oh no, it's not a d20 game, it's a new moba in which, lore wise, common individuals are chosen by these spirits to represent them in combat almost like the deities in the campaign are choosing the pc's to represent them. Not really relevant but I thought the slight similarities were cool.

I call dibs on the Outer God Azathoth. Crunch and Backstory to follow.

Just realized that wasn't 21 points. Trying again.

16, 14, 14, 15, 12, 11

I guess this will work. I seriously have the worst luck.

I'll go with Achekek, for order

Damn, that's so many eights

Grand Lodge

Good rolls. Morgana just hit jackpot with 4 sixes in one set.

16, 14, 14, 13, 13, 11

Rolls ain't to shabby, I'll have to think for a while on which god I would want to represent though.

Setting questions: is this world like a full-on world with towns and villages and whathaveyou, or is it more like a big dungeon?

Will divination spells work? If the Neutral gods have built an entire world completely from scratch would Divine spells like Augury or something that sort of depends on the Deity's knowledge still work?

Grand Lodge

Ideally your PC wouldn't know...

But as an overview, I'll throw these facts out:
- The adventure is mostly crossing the land (and sea) to find the Pantheon.
- The Neutrals have "created" the world with towns and villages.
- All spells will work as normal, including Augury. The gods are semi-omnipresent after all.

I will be applying with a slightly revised version of this character - Captain Castellus Cale. The character survived Book 1 of Serpent's Skull, so I've written that adventure into his backstory and it's become part of his history. He'll be modified by tomorrow stat-wise to fit your Creation guidelines.

He'll be applying as the Avatar of Besmara. Besmara is more Chaos than Order, so we'll represent Chaos. (Reminds me a lot of Final Fantasy Dissidia.)

Attribute Rolls:

4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 6, 4) = 15 - 14
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 2, 4) = 12 - 10
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 6, 4) = 18 - 15
4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 6, 3) = 12 - 11
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 1, 2) = 5 - 4
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 1, 6) = 10 - 9
4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 3, 6) = 13 - 12
4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 1, 5) = 14 - 13

Dropping the lowest two 4 and 9 from the list leaves me with:

14, 10, 15, 11, 12, 13

I believe that is Point-Buy Equivalent to 18.

Rerolling now. Let me know if I'm not supposed to.

4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 1, 2) = 13 - 12
4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 3, 4) = 16 - 13
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 2, 4) = 13 - 12
4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 5, 6) = 20 - 16
4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 6, 6) = 17 - 15
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 1, 3) = 6 - 5
4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 6, 5) = 16 - 15
4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 1, 6) = 16 - 15

Dropping the lowest two 5 and 12 from the list leaves me with:

13, 12, 16, 15, 15, 15

That one is a Point-Buy Equivalent of 36 if I'm correct. Let me know if you want that re-spec'd. I realize that may be high despite the whole 'demigod' aspect.

Much better rolls, though, in my opinion.

Edit: Been trying to post with weak Internet signal for an hour now. Quite vexing.

Grand Lodge

@Capt. Castellus: Your latest rolls will do fine. A groups needs at least one ace on their side. :)

Thanks. I just wanted to double-check.

I know the character wouldn't know, but it would be profoundly annoying to make a character centered around talking skills and then go through a massive dungeon or divination and then have those skills be useless.

4d6 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (5, 4, 1, 6) - 1 + 2 = 17 Cha

Team: Order

Concept: A gnome sorcerer lawyer that signed a contract with Asmodeus.

Grand Lodge

@KakkarottoZ: Good point. I'm balancing all kinds of encounters so it wouldn't be a battle after battle scenario. There will be more to the adventure than combat, that I can promise.

With that, expect to encounter various survival, natural hazards, and brain wracking puzzles, at the minimum. ;)

Rolls:

4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 5, 6) = 17 = 15
4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 2, 4) = 16 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 2, 6) = 15 = 14

4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 6, 5) = 15 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 3, 4) = 19 = 16

18, 16, 15, 15, 14, 14.

Damn, that's... absurdly high. That's a Point Buy of like 50. Should I take one of the lower ones instead?

I'm very tempted to just say Zon-Kuthon, since he's one of my favorite deities, but it looks like we've got a couple LE gods representing already. I'll think on it.

4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 3, 5) = 17=14
4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 6, 1) = 12=11

4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 3, 5) = 14=11
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 5, 3) = 11=10
16, 14, 11, 11, 11, 10? That's an 18 point buy. Rerolling.

4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 2, 1) = 10=9
4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 5, 4) = 18=14
4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 5, 2) = 15=13
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 4, 4) = 14=12
4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 2, 4) = 16=14
4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 5, 1) = 15=14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 6, 3) = 16=15
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 6, 4) = 20=16

16, 15, 14, 14, 14, 13. 35 point buy, although much more distributed than I'd have expected. I'll have to think on this.

I am very excited to represent Irori.

4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 4, 3) = 1211 Str
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 5, 4) = 1615 Dex

11,15,13,18,16,14

I swear I did this right. But, from top to bottom, I just used those numbers. I didn't even realize it until I edited this post to add my respective abilities. When I was done, I then saw that I just kept them in order. HA! Totally on the side of order!

I like those stats. So, do I put all the information, such as back story, in my Alias, and you can just look at it there?

Everyone seems to be using the same tool to generate stat rolls (based on common output format) - can anyone provide a link? I have one I like to use, but it doesn't have a similar format.

Click "how to format your text under the text box, follow the instructions.

Seems no one called Iomedae yet so I will go order, Iomedae.

Tiefling Paladin Hospitaler.

Lets see if I get the rolls to suppor it.

4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 5, 4) = 16 14
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 1, 3) = 16 15

Those should work, lots of odd numbers

Anit-paladin ,Chaotic. were can I get a list of gods other than the once in the core book? I don't recognize half the gods ppl are posting.

4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 2, 2) = 16 14

@Maxson: You can find a fairly comprehensive list of Golarion/PF deities in the Archives of Nethys

Got accepted into another game, so I'm withdrawing my request. I like this campaign though so I may lurk. Thanks for the chance.

4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 1, 2) = 9 8
4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 5, 6) = 21 17
4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 3, 6) = 12 11
4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 1, 3) = 11 10

4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 4, 1) = 12 11
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 5) = 14 13

so 17, 16, 13, 11, 11, 10 wow pretty min maxed and just over point buy for reroll. Hmm.

This is super cool. lets see what's up.

4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 5, 5) = 13 = 12
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 6, 5) = 21 = 17
4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 6, 4) = 21 = 17
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 1, 3) = 12 = 11
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 4, 4) = 18 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 2, 3) = 14 = 12
4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 6, 1) = 11 = 10
4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 5, 2) = 15 = 13

17, 17, 14, 13, 12, 12 = 38 point buy

No clue if I will toss in a submission, just wanted to see what the rolls would be. Can probably create something interesting with that.

So I think I did this right. Now you can just look at my Alias?

"I will accept order, because that is how perfection will be accomplished. Irori will help me get there by putting me through these trials in his honor."

Utter rubbish, until he was in his thirties and the lord of madness began to take him. At first a paranoia, like being watched, like there was another right below the surface of his skin. Alright, it looks like Order is getting a lot of love, so I'm going to side with Chaos and represent Gorum. Almost definitely playing a half-orc, although I'm not sure on class just yet. Probably going Champion with the Mythic path though.

@ Loup - please let me know what path. I was going to do champ but if you want it I will do guardian.

Dark Archive

This seems pretty awesome, lets see if lady luck is on my side for my rolls!

4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 4, 1) = 11 10
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 1, 2) = 10 9
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 4, 6) = 18 14
4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 3, 6) = 14 13
4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 2, 5) = 15 12
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 3, 1) = 15 14
4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 5, 1) = 12 11
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 1, 3) = 12 11

Thats a 17 so lets try that again

4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 4, 1) = 12 11
4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 5, 3) = 14 13
4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 5, 2) = 16 14
4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 3) = 18 15
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 2, 3) = 12 10
4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 1, 6) = 15 14
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 5, 6) = 19 15
4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 6, 6) = 23 18

That's much better, 13,14,14,15,15,18 for a total of 44 Point buy. Now that stats are done it's time for a concept.

Dfang what say you to the idea of a non-golarion born participant in this who worships a god that it shared between his world and Golarion? Specifically a Triaxian worshiper of Apsu for the Order side of things, thinking of going the Dragon Disciple route at the moment(Using Bloodrager if Dragon Disciple and it count in terms of how the prestige class advances bloodlines)

Well, I'm still not fully decided on class yet. I'm currently trying to decide between a Barbarian (perhaps with the Wild Rager archetype for bonus fun), a Bloodrager, a Brawler, and a Cleric (heavily combat-focused). I definitely see this character being more of a Champion than a Guardian, although I suppose I could pick up Dual Path. We're allowed to have two Champions in the group, though, so it isn't the end of the world if we both take that option.

EDIT: I have decided that I'll be making a half-orc bloodrager for this game, who will be going for the guardian path. Basic concept at this point is a chosen of Gorum who will become an unkillable terror on the field of battle.

SECOND EDIT: It's probably a bit much to ask, but could I potentially apply a Barbarian archetype to the Bloodrager if it only affects abilities both classes have? I'm specifically still looking at the Wild Rager archetype, as it seems great fun and definitely evokes a sense of Chaos.

@ loup - ahhh. I thought we could only have one. on a side note. barbarian are more fun I think haha.

Ah, crap. Full disclosure, while looking through material, I've been hit with inspiration to create a swashbuckler for Cayden Cailean. Damn.

I'm probably gonna draft up two characters and try to decide which I'd rather play. Or, if I could show both in the thread here and get input, that'd be awesome.

And done. That took way longer than I though.

KakkarottoZ here. I'm in the process of making this character now, but I know what direction I want to go with it, I just don't have time to type it all up right this second. He'd definitely be on the side of Order and his patron is Korada.

This sounds very interesting. I'll see if I can adapt my character from a failed Curse of the Crimson Throne campaign.

Notes/questions:
1) I'll be taking Reactionary as one trait, but would prefer to label it the third-party "Legacy of Death" for flavor reasons, if that's cool. It is otherwise identical to Reactionary.
2) Are aasimar/tiefling variant heritages permitted?

Grand Lodge

@YoricksRequiem: I don't want to back down on the rules I've stated already so you may keep the top 6 scores you have. The gods have blessed your rolls. :)

@Zain: Non-Golarion are fine. The gods are picking up heroes from across the multi-verse (not sure if that concept is consistent with regular Pathfinder lore though...).

@Max_Sterling: 1) Sure go ahead, it's only a name but I know it really feels good to have it align with your character well. Just put in a note of the source (e.g. use the smaller formatting so it's less noticeable. 2) Variant heritages are OK with me. Just put in the differences in your profile.

I'll work on compiling the list of applicants and put it up within the day. :)

Grand Lodge

Here's the list I've gathered so far. Let me know if there are any corrections.

Overall comment though, a lot of applications are still missing Mythic Path. You guys still have time to get the background finalized so please read through the Campaign Info again to see the specifics I'll be looking for when I read through your background.

Fluff is up. That being said it looks like Order and Chaos are fairly lopsided and I have a couple other ideas kicking about and would be willing to come up with something else for team chaos if that means getting in.

Grand Lodge

@Issac/KakkarottoZ: Sure, if you have the time to spare go ahead. :) Just let me know the PC name to look out for so I can mark them both under you.

You forgot me. I'll be repping the side of Order. Going to get my profile/backstory posted this morning.
