Female Human Rogue 1
![]() Apologies for the lateness of my reply. Hectic work schedule and partially knackered PC to blame. As they toured the house, Marianna surreptitiously kept an eye open for any statues that looked out of place. itsgottabeodin
Spoiler:
Marianna is looking out for the statue she has been sent to retrieve. Given what has happened, she is going to try and 'pocket' it instead of taking the rather obvious step of getting a rubbing. As they discovered the secret door, Marianna peered into the darkness. Glancing around at the others, she shrugged her shoulders and kicked off her shoes. "I'll shout if something jumps me." ![]() As Olo draws his weapon, Marianna draws her crossbow and aims it at the supposed 'leader' of the trio. "You give me reason enough to doubt your identity," she says quietly, "And reason enough for my compatriots to doubt it too." She leaves a pregnant pause before continuing. "Might I suggest that you start telling the truth, before matters escalate?" Intimidate :1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 ![]()

![]() Marianna glances at Shalla sideways, and rolls her eyes as she tucked the two pins back into her hairdo, although a few strands had fallen out of place. "Oh please," she says, "I'm a professional." However, she regards the scratch with some trepidation. If she hadn't made the mark, someone else did, and that meant someone had broken in. "If we're all carrying weapons, might I suggest we keep them at hand?" she said quietly. ![]()

![]() "A wonderful opera," Marianna said, after making small talk with Levistus prior to the opera starting. As the Venture-Captain finishes her instructions, she smiles and nods as she stands. "We shall endeavour to carry this mission out with the utmost of discretion and according to your wishes." ![]()

![]() Marianna takes the proffered arm with an elegant smile. As they walk through the city, she has to admit to herself that it was more elegant than she had expected from her summons. "Surprising to find such elegance so far afield, is it not, Lord Levistus?" Marianna remarks as they meander through the center of the city. As she catches sight of the opera house, she is visibly taken aback although the crack only lasts a fleeting moment before she regains her composure. A brief hint of a smile plays across her face as the ticket-master is put in his place. "It would appear that your companion might prove useful with the more superstitious members of society, Master Tambric," she says, although she doesn't address Shalla. As she catches sight of Venture-Captain Kalistoff, Marianna becomes more demure, not wishing to offend a woman who is both her senior in rank and no doubt, social status. Knowledge (local): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 I've elected to use Kn (local) here as Marianna has no other Knowledge skill trained and she'd have quietly quizzed the sailors on the boat for local knowledge. ![]()

![]() Marianna sighed as one of the longshoremen brushed past her roughly, but didn't expect any less, considering some of the conversations she had overheard from the men in the ferry. "Thank you, she said, accepting the ticket graciously, standing to one side as the halfling and griffon conversed with the hired help. While they did so, she attempted to surreptitiously read what had been passed to her. Sleight of Hand: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17 ![]()

![]() Marianna brushes some smotes of dust from her scribe's outfit. After all, it pays to look the part. She had spent much of the few weeks she had been in Absalom in the local inkhouses, using the languages she knew as a cover to begin the long, laborious task of building an information network through the city. She had presented herself at the Pathfinder Society Grand Lodge and they had accepted her application, and now she simply waited for her chance to prove herself to perhaps the largest group of people who spent their time discovering secrets. Cheers for the votes of confidence, I'll do my best not to let anyone down. Looking forward to running through these Society modules with you guys! Also, is that itsgottabeodin of Myth Weavers fame? ![]()
![]() I've updated her personality, description and background. I know that it might be a bit strange for the character sheet to be hosted off-site but I'm always fearful of missing something out, so having a sheet helps me get everything right. Or at least I hope it does. It should be public to the world, so please let me know if you can't read it. ![]()
![]() Marianna d'Bourdelay, at your service. I had a personality, description and background typed out but my session timed out and I lost it. Need to sleep now but I'll re-type it in the morning. Just as a quick flavour for the character, Marianna likes to deal in information and in battle, sticks to flanking. She prefers to work in methods that involve as little combat as possible, it's difficult to play at nobility with scars. |
