I was born on the 6th of Arodus 4591. I had a normal elven childhood even with my unusual parents, wizards in the service of Aroden. They were always on some holy quest. Leaving me and my older brother in the care of others. The elves of Kyonin treated us as one of their own. I don't remember much of time there. Just feelings of contentment. I do remember my mother use to call me her "Brightness."
When I was 31 my parents where "called by Iomedae" and were going to be part of the first crusade. I and my brother refused to stay behind. Reluctantly they allowed us to follow them. We got as far as the city of Storasta, there they made us stay. Saying we would be of no use on the battle field, better to stay and help with the refuges. So we did as our parents commanded, and helped were we could. Day after day, they came back with savage wounds, and as soon as they were healed up they went out again. 6 years later we fell back to a fortress built by dwarves, what is now know as Drezden. We stayed there until I was 45. Still children we helped as much as we could, and each day we would hear the stories from the front line. I was proud to be helping, even in little ways. I knew I would grow up and be a mighty wizard like my parents. I dreamed of one day being a brave Riftwarden, driving the demons back to were they came from. One day my parents went off on a secret mission and never returned. My brother begged the crusaders for information about them. But it seemed as if no one knew where they were or what they were doing. We stayed in Drezden hoping our parents would some day return. One night, a night I will never forget, the demons took Drezden. I can still hear the screams. My brother and I managed to flee the city into the woods. It was there that I saw my brother die, a pack of babau demons hunted us down. My brother bravely stood his ground to give me a chance to get away. I ran, for what seemed like days, eventually I could run no more. I passed out. When I awoke it was three days later and I was on a wagon headed for Kenabres, some crusaders found me and took me with them as they retreated. I lived in Kenabres for several years after that. I constantly asked the crusaders if they had seen any clues as to my parents disappearance. Some took pity on me. Some were enraged by my persistence. Even with all my efforts there was no word. With diminished hope, in 4640 I returned to Kyonin, with a string of trading caravans. I was adopted and lived a peaceful life. Many would tell me stories of my parents deeds from before my birth. Stories of there bravery and devotion. But always there was a sense of loss. On 16 Aroden 4700 I fell ill. In my fevered delusion I saw a women in my room. She had a stern look on her face. Not cruel, just stern. As if she was disappointed. It was then I recognized her. She looked like the statues in the temples of Iomedae. It was then that I noticed a halo around her. Then she spoke. Her voice thundered and shook the room. She said just one sentence before disappearing, "Rise and come to me, you have work that needs doing." I left Kyonin as soon as my adopted family would let me and returned to Kenabres. Hearing of the witch burnings I left almost as soon as I arrived and traveled to Last Wall. It was there I learned to be a wizard. While training one day I was knocked unconscious. During this blackout I again dreamed of Iomedae. She said I had work to do. In a place called Sandpoint. That day I set out once again. Apperance:
