Hey James, my table has a question about a kind of non sequitor line in the Shrink Items spell. It says you can optionally turn the object into a cloth-like substance.

That seems like it's mostly so you can store things like campfires and water barrels, but we were wondering what the cloth objects were like then. Say, I shrink a statue down. Does it become cloth but stuffed with cotton like a plush? Is it floppy and hollow like a sock? Flat and rollable like a sheet of fabric?

We know there's some specific point to that line or it wouldn't be there, but we're not sure what.

I mean, he could land in one momentarily. But no, he wouldn't get stuck. Not unless someone dimensionally anchored the inside to keep people from teleporting the snacks out to steal them.

When I wrote Kevin he was supposed to have a crazy Senpai crush on Michael, so he's not necessarily over that either.

As far as stuff goes, Tybs doesn't really think about it as a date. He's just having fun for Dave's birthday. Guess that makes both of them kinda oblivious about it.

I wrote Tybalt's character when I was... It was early sophomore year, so I was 15-16. He's Dumb And Confused About Relationships™ because I was a teenager when I made him, and I too was Dumb And Confused About Relationships™. Now its six years later and I'm trying not to change him too much even though I'm (sort of) an adult now.

As far as Jeran and Kevin goes, I guess I don't really see where you're coming to that conclusion. It's just an awkward not-a-date as far as I can tell. It might not go anywhere, but I don't know to what degree either of them is crushing on the other anyway.

Not dealing with trauma is one of the best things about being the champion of Freedom. Ultimate freedom means ultimate space to run away from your problems in. :P

Personally, I think the patrons main page should be their ideal name, since we do know those for all of them. I think it gives consistency. We don't know the formal names for all of them, so it's "Formal name for these, ideal name for the others, but that might change as we learn some names." When it could be "Ideal name, formal name redirects here."

I feel like the overarching timeline is more important for Lyn than the character ones.

I don't really know how to do that, just saying that's the big bit.

I'm hosting a game play by post style over discord. I like it, but it's slow because everyone is in a different time zone.

By the way, any ideas for a good desert and/or canyon encounter for 5 level 3s? I'm thinking gnolls. They're escorting a mail wagon.

I love Voltron except for a few things. I don't like all of the "we just happen to find this one thing that's important to me in the infinite vastness of space.

I also don't like the Alura is Space Racist. Like, I hated the whole thing where she had the issues with the one character all of a sudden after that one revelation. You know what I'm talking about if you've seen it. I hated that.

In other news, I've found something even more disappointing than not making it into a game. It's making it into a game with a really well developed character with backstory and issues and a wife, then the game doesn't even make it to a full page before the DM vanishes.

Similarly, are we supposed to have our own living arrangements since we live in the town?

I sometimes have a hard time staying alive in a campaign, so I went with the 15 point buy. Life is short, so I'm gonna treat myself.

Lots of folks seem to be submitting Catfolk, so due that, the fact that I love them, and that they build really well for a ninja, I'm going with one as well.

I've been wanting to play a classical ninja for a while. Their whole story was being the farmers repressed by the overbearing government, so this fits really well!

@Lyn, nah I got it ok. That's not even the weirdest funeral experience I would have had, and I've only ever been to 2. To be honest, I've been trying to find the grammar mistake. The chorus of the Japanese translation is "Peaceful Peace" though, so there's that.

Google translates it to "it is common with my soul."

Hey dudes. I turn 21 today, and I'm desperately seeking someone who is fluent in Japanese to help me with a translation for a tattoo I want to get this weekend. It has too much context to be translated by computer, so if you know anyone that could help, please do let me know.

I mean, it's mostly just that no one is curious as to how he's never seen. No tells, no signs of invisibility or anything like that. People kinda just accept it. I'm fine if people aren't really that interested in finding out. It's not a priority for me.

To be fair, the DM did say we could put in as many entries as we wanted. I do think 4 is a but excessive all at once, though.

Personally I only ever submit one per game, because I build them from scratch for the game to fit in the world and tone of the campaign. I always have plans for personality and interactions that don't necessarily go on the character sheet. Doing that more than once would be really exhausting, especially knowing only one of them would possibly be chosen.

Just finished the Harry Potter books after a childhood of parental restriction on said. My feels hurt a lil bit. They've been overworked.

Ah, then I'm gonna withdraw. Can't really do set time games. Have fun though!

I'd give it a try. Though whoever runs it, I highly suggest going with very forgiving rolled stats or epic fantasy point buy given the Kobold's... Strengths... And Constitutions...
