Female Tiefling Cleric (Fiendish Vessel) 1
Inebriation, the 5th Horseman: Maena says, "I'm thinking that killing the warden might help alleviate the risk of recapture.... and, to be honest, if I'm to live with a brand for the rest of my life, because my otherworldly looks weren't enough, then I wouldn't much mind making the man pay...in blood and in coin."
Female Tiefling Cleric (Fiendish Vessel) 1
Where's my pale horse?: Maena casts stabilize, ensuring that the man doesn't bleed out, saying, "That will make sure that your blood loss won't kill you. Give us the information, or I won't be able to stop them from making a bigger hole that will take different magic to stop."
Female Tiefling Cleric (Fiendish Vessel) 1
The Four Horsemen...: Maena rushes forward, raising the club as she starts trying to close the distance, somewhat unsucessfully. She stops just after entering the small room, ready to strike if her companions can't finish them off quickly. Can't charge them since Alicia and Damien are in the way -- but a double move does get me pretty close to 'em.
Female Tiefling Cleric (Fiendish Vessel) 1
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24 Maena looks at Alicia and says sternly, "A few extra second of thinking and planning and most of us probably wouldn't even be here and now have to escape. Let's learn from that and make the most of or second chance, shall we?" She then says in a more calm voice, "That said, we don't have time to have a long discussion about every possibility, either. I'd recommend systematically hunting and killing all the guards, gaining as much as we can in provisions and supplies, either to use or sell, and getting the Hells out of here before dawn..." She turns to face the prisoners, "So let's get these nice people to draw us a map of the area, a count of how many guards are on shift and how many are sleeping, and we won't feed then to the grossly underfed Ogre, but we'll leave them locked up so the Mitrans don't think they helped us. Everyone wins. And while they're doing that, well take all the food an Ogre can carry... Some sacks might be useful... "
Female Tiefling Cleric (Fiendish Vessel) 1
Maena steps away from the grate and begins to dons the guard's chain and shield, "If they don't wish the protection, I'll certainly take it." She looks up at Alica and motions toward the shield, "Best protect yourself to be sure you can keep being a pain in the posterior. I can't guarantee that Belial will want me to use his gifts to help those too foolish to help themselves."
Female Tiefling Cleric (Fiendish Vessel) 1
Maena nods, "I'm glad we;re in agreement... at least for now. For those who doubt the wisdom of the act, I do think there's something to be said about making sure that there's no garrison looking to hunt us down.... as much as I do also want to send a message." She then says, "Would it be wise to have someone slip down and see what's down there before we decide? Was thinking that if Grumblejack can't get that way, it might be worth working from both directions and meeting in the middle."
Female Tiefling Cleric (Fiendish Vessel) 1
Maena nods, "I do.... Though now that we're out, I can't help but think that we should add to the black eye of escaping the 'inescapable' prison by doing enough damage to make it impossible to hide what we've done." She then pauses and says, "I think we can trust him. Can anyone use the picks to free him?"
Female Tiefling Cleric (Fiendish Vessel) 1
Maena looks the brute over and says, soothingly, "If you are injured, I can take away some of your pain... though, as impressive as you are, I imagine they were too cowardly to beat you -- even while they had you chained." Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 *Another* gift from Belial, perhaps? How very... useful.. Still, it would be good to see what motivates him before we free him. She watches the brute carefully, trying to tease out his motivations and whether or not he can be trusted. Sense Motive: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26 (+2 if the Unearth Secrets applies, though I don't think it would..)
Female Tiefling Cleric (Fiendish Vessel) 1
Round 1 Maena, still delighting in the pleasurable burn of Hellfire within her smiles at the guard, drawing even more of the power into herself and then releasing it in a wave... Burn, you hypocrite... Channel Evil: 1d4 ⇒ 3 Will DC 12 for half damaged, failure means sickened for 1d4 ⇒ 2 rounds -- also heals us the same amount, since some of us are hurt.. (Hopefully the -2 to saves from touch of corruption makes him miss his save.)
Female Tiefling Cleric (Fiendish Vessel) 1
Maena steps forward and snarls, "You're already rotting on the inside...", touching the guide and focussing the power of Hell itself through him, darkening his soul and shattering his defenses. Touch of Corruption: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 (v. touch) -2 on all saves, and needs to re-roll all opposed skill checks, taking worse result (for 1 round)
Female Tiefling Cleric (Fiendish Vessel) 1
Maena watches the scene unfold, They just can't resist their petty power trips.., then shakes herself, trying to see if the other guard truly is more noble and has left in disgust, or if he just mouths the platitudes and ways to watch the show... Likely to join in later.
Female Tiefling Cleric (Fiendish Vessel) 1
Maena looks away to hide her wicked smile, If only the other one was as subject to his base desires..., she thinks wistfully, keeping a careful eye on the door, ...at least if he's disgusted, he won't be watching... and will also be expecting some grunts and the like...
Female Tiefling Cleric (Fiendish Vessel) 1
Maena looks at the man carefully, feeling for the darkness within him with her gifts, then turns to face him. "Come now, surely you can appreciate what she's offering... I mean, just think of the heady, frantic energy of her fear and your control over her.... and, the clarity of purpise that comes from it being her last night alive... I can't imagine you'll ever get a chance like this again, where you could do whatever you wanted to her -- to both of us, really -- when we're so totally under your power and just so grateful for even a moment where we're not thinking about dying.... And, Hells, if you go too far, you know that nobody's going to be able to say a damned thing. Who's going to believe the Forsaken, anyway? And what's more who are we to tell? Our executionners?" Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Female Tiefling Cleric (Fiendish Vessel) 1
Maena offers, "I'm thinking the best approach might be to fake a panic attack and then offer the guards anything... With a heavy emphasis on everything ... to get out when they come in here to shut us up." She sighs and looks up at Alicia, "Can you scream like a frightened schoolgirl? Or should we try to get them in here another way in order to make our offer?"
Female Tiefling Cleric (Fiendish Vessel) 1
Was thinking we could do worse than a trapper or urban ranger.. I don't much like the thought of being killed by traps later, and having someone who can help with that (and locks) would be very helpful.. However, I totally don't want to step too heavily on Moriarty's toes either, so I might say ranger (trapper or urban) or bard could work. However, in terms of the ic stuff.... I'll go post there. I, like Alicia, was waiting.
Female Tiefling Cleric (Fiendish Vessel) 1
Maena nods, "If we can save our magic, were better to do so. I imagine these aren't the only two between us and the door. And what's more, if rather leave a big enough mess here that it can't be covered up... Something to scar the reputation of Brandiscar, and, by extension, the current order."
