"That would be great" Lyre responds before jumping up from her seat "Well back to work" she says as she heads back out U'h not being critical or anything but is there any reason everyone else is doing there posts in spoilers? kind of a bit jarring to see nothing but two pages all of spoiler entries. (well save for mine at least)

"Well I was in the arena area downstairs feeding bity when some of the rats got free from those god awfully constructed cages that are downstairs rhet tried to maul me and failed so I decided to try and feed them before moving them to a more secure cage. But that drunken guy you keep down there told me off cause I was ruining them for fighting but who in there right mind wants to see two have starved creatures fighting?" Lyre somehow manages to say all that without tacking a single breath.

For the next week Lyre for the most part keeps doing her job as Barker (quite pleased she gets a chance to shout at people without getting into bother) Bluff 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25 In her spare time (if nothing comes up) she spends tending to the big snake who she affectionately calls Bitey

Ah to be honest Lyre probably hasn't thought that far a head. Letting it be used in the arena would be fine with her long as they kept it fed and such.

Maybe I remember these rules differently but how can I be flat footed against an enemy I know is hostile I have been talking and I know wants to take a bite at me? I mean I know the snake is there I know it is hostile I know it wants to bite me but it still takes me by surprise when it does bite me? Also I had already taken an action against it (started casting)

Lyre casts speak with animals on herself and begins to chat with the snake whilst very slowly approaching it. "Hello there. My aren't you a big fella? Now nobody wants to hurt you but you have bitten one of our staff and there is a group of very annoyed people behind me who want very much to cave your head in which I think we can both agree neither one of us really wants. So why don't you just calm down and let these guys in to get the cook and I'll make sure no one tries to hurt you plus I'll get you something nice to eat." she also tries making calming gestures towards it as she slowly approaches. Handle animal 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 I have absolutely no idea if this has any actual chance of working or not but hey she can speak with animals so I thought I would give it a try. Also not sure handle animal is the most suitable skill if you think Diplomacy or bluff would make more sense let me know. |
