• I'm actually having to do this, though I'm using unchained monk. I'm changing over a campaign from Shadowrun to Starfinder. It's pretty easy, considering I was using Shadowrun rules to simulate Fallout, the video game. Starfinder makes this actually easier.

• One of the characters, though, in the Shadowrun game was vastly overpowered because the character was basically Summer from Firefly, though bioengineered to have cat attributes. So, Catfolk (from Pathfinder) got translated into Starfinder and Unchained Monk for the character is getting translated.

• So, the character is powerful hand to hand...now. Eventually, weapon levels and more are going to let the rest of the party equalize up things quickly.The character can't shoot normal weapons (basic melee only proficiency due to background) which hinders the character greatly in a game where ranged combat is going to happen far more than melee.

Tiefling or half demon template to start. At this point you ask, are you doing Teen Titans/Teen Titans Go version of Raven, or are you doing comic book Raven? The kineticist is the tv version of her. However, if you are looking at the comic book version, I'd seriously consider going sorceress. A case could be made for her to be an oracle or cleric as well, as she has used healing magic in the comic.

I'm using Realm Works right now to plan out the PDF I hope to bring forth using Starfinder. I'm curious what support you think you need from it beyond what it has already if you set up a generic setting?

An underlying assumption is running in these questions. Everything does not originate from Golarion. Golarion is the primary source for the adventure paths/Starfinder Society adventures. For personal campaigns, however, it depends on your gamemaster.

As already stated by some of the comments, ratfolk and elves came from other worlds. Nothing prevents a tiefling from another world being around, for instance. Depending on the campaign, that tiefling may be rare or common.

Again, the gamemaster makes the call. I don't think Paizo will need to restrict a thing on this. The only restriction, honestly, is 'official stats' aka the Alien Archive, or deciding what third party supplement your gamemaster incorporates into the campaign if not making the stats up on his or her own.

Give me Hero Lab support on this, and you've got a purchaser waiting to toss money at you.
