Hello all,
I seek at least 2 more players, real world, face to face.
I run an RP centric, low arcane magic, custom world. More details upon request.
I have 2 players now and 5 is my maximum, 4 preferred.
custom world, minor houserules, sandbox environment. PC actions do matter, you can do what you want, however the world still turns, life continues unless halted.
Minor background suggested and a session zero will occur to assimilate PC's into the world and increase basic knowledge, learn player traits and preferences.
I seek play 1/week.
I have been working. I am still interested. I can post on most nights.
Scholarly type as well but abilities based around sand, a major component.
1d6 ⇒ 3
1d6 ⇒ 4
1d6 ⇒ 3
1d6 ⇒ 2 take 3
1d6 ⇒ 4
1d6 ⇒ 5
1d6 ⇒ 2 take 3
Total 25 hp (of a possible 42, horrible)
I am interested in gaming. A sand-based caster sounds interesting.
Showing interest. No concept yet but it can be created quickly.

simple enough. I found it somewhat comical. All good. If you have need of good encounter builds, I'm adept at that.
Let us continue.
Male Human
I have almost 10 years of gaming xp (over half DMing, but not consecutive), and anything I can provide I will. I'm far more experienced with 3.5, but I can aid with most anything.
As to the encounters, I would say CR+1 actually, to give an actual threat. There has been a total of 8 damage (2 attacks at 4 each) throughout the party. I like games with an element of danger, not to say there is none here.
Right now there is no organization or tactics, everyone charges in and wastes the enemy.
My players have said I'm a "killer DM" because I make them try, they must work together to succeed, use synergy, and all those items they try to hold on to forever, and never use I make them use. I push them, but I give them the tools to succeed; so long as they use their abilities and know their characters they should be fine, damaged and sometimes fighting for their lives, but they enjoy it.

The SRD isn't coming up. when it does I will update.
I'm good so long as internet works. I can post every day, often multiple times. My PC posted in discussion. RotRL fills quickly, so posting ASAP.
I will adjust a prior lvl 1 character. It won't take long.
D&D isn't a dirty word.
I am interested. I have some aliases built already.
I thought we were still discussing. Character creation has begun, I'm on it.
Starting lvl ?, with Pathfinder.
I'm interested. Starting level and racial/template allowances?
As to starting level 6-10 is good. You can deal with the low level enemies handily, but you can't become too cocky; you're in the area where big adventure opens up.
Additionally I prefer the 3.5 ruleset, but Pathfinder works well too.
My time is rather limited, but I will look into the system.
I would DM, but I do not have have my books, and time is limited as I'm deployed.
As a player I will be available whenever unless internet is shut down.

Reality trumps all. Be safe.

So all action waits the week out until he returns, or just his character actions?
Marking my interest. I can try to make a character today.
Marking my interest. I will look into the system when able.
Hey, I'm marking my interest. I will research the legal PFS.
Marking interest. There are any number of good character concepts that can be used.
Male Human
I thought we were creating characters. The Tier 3-4 (I'm assuming lvl 3-4) would be a sufficient starting point. Level 6-7 would be good for some challenging adventures, and more variety in encounters and what we could do.
Elven (+2 dex/int, -2 con) Magus of House Charthagnion, always in pursuit of power and knowledge. Morally ambiguous, but not evil. He is always willing to deal with beings from any plane to aid his pursuits, to a point (genocide, etc).
1st Set
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 6, 4) = 21
4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 4, 3) = 16
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 6, 2) = 17
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 5, 4) = 15
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 6, 4) = 12
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 5, 2) = 19
2nd Set
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 4, 2) = 12
4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 5, 3) = 13
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 2, 5) = 16
4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 4, 4) = 15
4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 5, 2) = 17
4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 5, 6) = 16
3rd Set
4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 6, 1) = 17
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 4, 3) = 13
4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 2, 4) = 14
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 6, 4) = 18
4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 1) = 5
4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 6, 2) = 14
Set 1 is mine.
The numbers are: 17, 13, 15, 13, 11, 17
Male Elf Fighter (Archer)
-+2 dex/int, -2 con
str 15
dex 20
con 9
int 10
wis 8
cha 10
I am marking my interest.
I prefer arcane casters, but whatever suits the needs.
Are we starting at lvl 3?
I think a human paladin is good, so long as it isn't completely black and white, there are always gray areas.
str 18
dex 8
con 15
int 11
wis 8
cha 10
A horrible paladin but roleplay is there.
I could also be an elven archer, especially with their proficiencies.
str 15
dex 18
con 11
int 8
wis 8
cha 10
The system, yes.
So 15, 11, 8, 10 for the 4 rolled. The 18 and 8 can be placed wherever? There is no specific place for them.
As I see it it would be 18 and 8 to start, then the last 4 rolled.
str 18, dex 8, con 15, int 11, wis 8, cha 10.
Right?
18, 15, 11, 10, 8, 8
That's better overall, only two negative modifiers. Let's do this.
Re-roll for one of the 8's
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
My character will have to survive on pure luck, or be extremely strong in one area. It should be interesting.
18, 8, 8, 8, 15, 11 are my stat numbers. The dice gods are very unhappy with me today.
Marking interest. I have a few RP centric PC's created, and some who are strong at melee, etc. (I see that as working a strength).
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Stats above.
Half orc sorc as favored class gives +1/2 fire damage spell. I'm thinking that means +1 damage per 2 levels, or is it spell level?
To Lukain: The traits linked to Lamm could easily tie the rest of us to the current part of the campaign. We all come looking, hear about the event and find those responsible for his demise (the party), find where the kids were taken to find the "missing child" (the tavern, follow rumors, etc), whatever. It is still a common tie. We would be brought to the same place regardless.
That could be backstory, or a trait used to replace it. That's up to the DM. Frankly I'm fine with the traits as they are applicable, and will aid the group to gather and have common goals.
I'm looking at a half orc sorcerer, backstory tbd.
I prefer arcane casters, but I can play any role. I have a dislike for dwarves, so I won't play one.
I don't know the background of the adventure. Essentially I could be a sorcerers apprentice sent into the world to learn on my own, but with a base of operations or safe area to return to. He would be reticent to leave unsure if he will succeed OR an arrogant and very boisterous type. Whatever works best. I've done little PBP, but it's the only option I have out here.
I will play whatever is needed.
Marking my interest. A character can be had today.
Expressing interest. I've not partaken of a zeitgeist game. I need to draw up a character.
Does the group roleplay? I do that quite a bit, and generally prefer it to combat, about 60/40 or 70/30 with a good mix of people.
I'm thinking a roguish type, caster with the Framed trait, or elven something.
To DM:
@Raina: If you interpreted me wanting the curse book 1, I was stating I could try to find them. I don't cheat, that would ruin the point of any adventure.
I've read most of RotRL, and I think it was well done, but I wouldn't use that knowledge. The character knows nothing of the world outside of their background and what's presented.
I can create whatever is needed. I prefer sorcerers, but I can do melee as needed. Clerics are fine, but I'm not a healbot; I believe clerics can be powerful party memebers.
I don't have 100% internet as I'm deployed, and sometimes it drops out, but I can post daily. I will need to access my materials, and can have something to you about 6 hours.
I don't have the curse book 1 or companion. I will try to find it.
I am interested. I can take whatever role is needed, or create my own.
I am available as an alternate.
