"Damn!" Cyril cursed under his breath as he kept on working.

The wizard failed his Perception check to notice the lock. Cyril takes out his thieve's tools.
Cyril snaps his wrist, summoning The Mistress Blade to appear. "Sounds like our host has returned."
The wizard rand to help the elven fighter. "Saronis! Are you alright?"
"If you will be aright with the act", Cyril answered, concern on his face. Both men were sublime, but pain still existed in damage.
"Damn." Cyril cursed. "Again, my lack of knowledge of the dispel magic spell has vexxed me again. I can't remove the exploding runes without it. We may have to activate the trap to remove it. Hopefully your gear isn't right behind it, Saronis."
Cyril looks for Saronis's gear behind the simple wooden door. Then the wizard examines the sturdy oak door, casting detect magic as well.
Cyril nodded, casting mage hand again, then trying Saronis's sequence.
Cyril mage hands the torch to go left.
Cyril casts mage hand from a safe distance on one of the torches, and uses the spell to light the boiling oil; hoping for a positive result.
Cyril looked at the puzzle in deep thought. "Should I light the oil?"
"Saronis, do you still sense your gear's presence?" The wizard inquires.
Unsure of what he's seeing, Cyril casts heightened awareness on himself. If Saronis is with him, the wizard beckons him forward. If not, Cyril goes to get him.
Once disarmed, Cyril casts acid splash on the powder, watching it fizzle then go inert.
Cyril addresses the powdered section next.
Cyril kneels a few feet away from the trip line. The Mistressian opens his Cosmic Ring to access his thieve's tools within. Cyril carefully takes his time and uses his thieve's tools to disarm the trap.
He snarls, "How gross! I can tell why you are afraid of them. Are they just magical beasts or worse, were they fey?!" "Fey, of all things!" Cyril said incrediously. "Low intellect, nearly mindless." After a while he steps off the dirt road and begins taking an unused deer trail. Eventually he finds a crack in a boulder. He moves in but stops. "Got a light? My eternal torch is missing..." The wizard finds a small pebble on the path, then cast light on it, and hands it to the elf. With light he wonders out loud, "If this is her lair, there will likely be traps. I will follow you!" "Agreed" Cyril takes back the light pebble and examines the way forward.
Ed is clear as well. "Thank The Mistress!" Cyril exclaimed. "Those 'newts' were called alpluachra! They crawl inside your throat and eat any food you consume! Once I came across the alpluachra, I've been deathly afraid of finding them! Then I find an entire swarm of them!" The wizard left out a shiver of disgust.Saronis and Ed follow the elf warrior down the road.
Cyril also checks Ed for parasites.
Once all three were back on solid round, Cyril rushes at Saronis, pulling the elf to the ground.
Round 6 Ever the Avalonian gentlemen, Cyril makes sure Saronis goes up first before him.
Round 3 Frantic, Cyril casts another [i]fireball[/], this time trying to miss himself and Saronis.
Round 2
Everything inside Cyril is telling him to scream in fear, or a warning. But the wizard is deathly afraid of alpluachra; they have been the bane of wizards for centuries. And in fear, Fear can make you do mad things.
Cyril hands Saronis a masterwork rapier. "My old blade will serve until your Mistress Blade is returned." The wizard seems the strange newts approach. "And with perfect timing. Look!"
"While we wait for Ed", Cyril began. "tell me what happened exactly, Saronis." The investigative wizard checks the elf's health.
"No. I can cast it multiple times", Cyril explains. "I'll take out another copper coin and cast light on it."
"Ed! Bark loudly so I can hear you! Then I'll cast my fly spell!" Cyril called to retreating canine.
"Sounds good. I dont have any of my gear so swimming will not be a problem. Will the fly speed affect us all?" He asks. "Yes. Because of your added weight, I'll fly a little slower", Cyril explains, then looks at the under-geared fighter. "Do you have any idea of the whereabouts of your gear?"
Cyril shakes his head as he unties the elf. "Greater teleport", the wizard added. "Now the current problem is getting out of this cave. I have one fly spell left. So my thought was you and Ed swim to the trap door, give me a signal, I'll cast fly on myself and quickly fly everyone up and out before the spell fades."
Cyril claws out of the water and over to Saronis. The wizard carefuly checks the elf's well-being as he attempts to ungag the fighter.
The wizard followed Ed as best he could.
"Where is he?" Cyril asked, as the wizard kept his head above water.
"Ed! ED!" Cyril calls out.
"Saronis!!" Cyril exclaimed, as he jumped in.
"Oh dear", Cyril says, as he examines the well. "I will jump in if there's anyone to save."
Cyril takes out a copper piece and casts light it, then drops it down the hole.
"Why..has my..greatest..nemesis...being DOORS!" The noble struggles to left the trap door as Ed shifts a carpet in the lip.
Removing the latch, Cyril tries to open the trap door again.
"By The Mistress! Good catch, Ed!" Lord Cyril congratulated his friend. The investigative wizard pulls at the door.
Lord Cyril begins to assist Ed in looking for any secret doors.
"Good dog!" Cyril smiles. The noble throws the pie against the nearest wall to destroy it. The wizard pets the intelligent dog. "Well? Shall we follow the river down? Maybe find another settlement? I'm beginning to run out of ideas quite frankly."
Round 3
"DAMN! She's gone! She used Greater Teleport." Cyril groaned. The wizard begins to look around the ruined cottage. If the wizard finds the pie that was cooling on the window sill, Cyril will take it to Ed. "What do you think? Poisoned?" The noble casts detect magic to see if the succubus left anything arcane.

"Demon?! I can't fit into the cottage, you want me to make a hole?!" "Yes, please!"
Round 2 "The safest option", the wizard remarks. But the attack goes wild, despite the cramped condition.
Round 1 Lord Cyril backs up against the wall of the small cottage and summons The Mistress Blade into his hand. "Ed! Demon!" The wizard shouts out the window.

I would say Cyril isn't grappled, because his hands are free. The wizard will make an opposed grapple check to get free, though.
Panicking, Cyril holds his hand close to the succubus's body and snaps his fingers, summoning The Mistress Blade, in hopes the magical weapon will form inside the demon woman's torso.
