My first Pathfinder character was a half-elf mystic theurge of Ulfen descent.

He began trying to hide his caster and elf-ness (being a minor jarl's bookish bastard child tends to get you bullied a good bit). Near the end of the campaign, the hair was pulled back to expose the ears and wore the Ulfen equivalent of the pointy hat and robe with a moon and stars on it.

Molthune with it's rampant militarism and "might makes right" and "ordnung muss sein" attitude among upper echelons is pretty much XVII+ century Prussia.
Or Britain, or France in the same time period. There's not much difference, really.

True, but Mirabeau's quip about Prussia (Other states possess armies; Prussia is an army which possesses a state) really fits Molthune to a "t."

Fangwood you say?

What if this rash knight was from Molthune (and may or may not have had a reputation gained in the frequent battles with a certain country) and the Nirmathi skirmishers attached to his unit found out?

My personal (if slightly unserious) theory involves the prisoner, a boat, a parachute and the magical version of a circus man-cannon.

Perhaps Molthune?

They take anyone who is willing to enlist and follow the rules. Not to mention there would be plenty of justification for retribution given Nirmathi terrorists trying to undo all the good our beloved Lord Generals stand for.

EDIT: Molthune isn't a 'good' country if you meant that in terms of alignment. If you meant 'good' as in 'my idea would work here,' it is.

41: Agorophobia

I have an off-the-cuff idea for a villain: Perhaps Zedoran and/or his hags have a certain necromantic bauble created by Tar-Baphon. This is in turn smuggled into Vigil and results in a recently-deceased 'elite' knight as a graveknight.

Or he could have been a bit too bold for his own good in life and took part in an ill-advised attack and felt so utterly betrayed by a perceived lack of support he came back with a burning desire to tear down all that he once held dear?

Given that one of her church's big 'stchicks' is to look awesome to impress the youth (to get the to join when they grow up), I think that probably reflects something of her youth as well: she was probably super-impressed by the knights when she was a child and grew up wanting to be one.

*snip*

I could totally see her being a "Good Luck Charm" amongst the tented knights... a kind of favored daughter of the group running around. Whether she was an actual daughter of one of the knights, or she was an orphan...

This reminds me of Caligula's early years, where he also got his nickname: His father brought him along to the Germanic frontier and he was something of a mascot to the legionaries with his child-sized uniform and armor.

As for my theory on why Iomedae looks so young, she *is* a goddess. While a bit vain, it is possible she decided to alter her appearance a bit.

My friend had to beg me for an hour to play AD&D. I looked at him like he was crazy at first, and laughed at him as I sat and played video games. Then I said ok, I'll give a try, and after about 30 minutes I was hooked on RPG's like a fat kid gets hooked on cake. I couldn't stop playing that night. We played until our brains were zooming. The adventure was going so strong, and we couldn't sleep that night because the adventure seemed so real.

This was pretty much my experience.

Except it wasn't AD&D, it was Warhammer Fantasy RP 2nd edition. As such, my definition of 'lethal encounter' is a constant source of amazement to my group.

Nor shall I ever forget my test character, Johann Schmidt, journeyman Grey Wizard, who met an untimely and gruesome end trying to cast a Mindhole spell that ended up with reality tearing itself asunder as a great clawed hand pulled me into the Realm of Chaos.

Spellblights ain't got nothing on Tzeentch's Curse.

would pillows be valid weapons for TWF ? i think a paladin of mercy could smite the succubus and join in with a pillow fight. unless its a devil's three way.

I'd think a monk could pull it off better. Empty Hand monk could swing it like a light hammer, club or quarterstaff depending on its size.

Seriously? No one thought of the extra arms evolution besides me?

More on topic, have you considered taking the last bit of the Pledge of Allegiance and yelling it as you charge in?

Not quite a "FOR ANDORAN!" moment, but in a similar vein, I had a Taldan cockatrice cavalier.

Every battle started like this.

No love for CABAL?
