For Andoran!

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

I just realized that, as a bard with Perform: Oratory and Lingering Performance, I can begin combat by shouting "For Andoran!" and it will actually give a morale/competance bonus. This amuses me greatly.

I would love to hear amusing or inspiring moments of PC's shouting "For Andoran!" (or "For Freedom and Democracy!")

Note: As we all know, we must be careful not to give spoilers no matter how awesome the story is.

Silver Crusade

My bard's also Andoren and uses perform (oratory). He gives inspirational speeches while fighting. ie "Ask not what the Pathfinder Society can do for you. Ask what you can do for the Society!"

Grand Lodge Pathfinder Society Campaign Coordinator

Definitely should be an in-character post on the Andoran forum as well!

I would have posted it as in character, but I would have had to leave out the mechanics as the Faction talk is all IC. I shall rethink my wording and repost there, I think.

Study famous speeches by the Founding Fathers, use those exclusively.

"For Fantasy America-, I mean ANDORAN!!!"

Liberty's Edge

Most of my characters are Andoren. Now, as I recall, characters cannot refuse a morale bonus. That should annoy a few Cheliaxians. (There is the rule of Pathfinders must cooperate, so letting a Cheliaxian inquisitor whose teamwork feat feed off of one wizard's initiative was amusing. Especially when the wizard took overland flight and quipped that it was a good thing that he did not have rice and beans the night before the adventure.)

And coincidentally, I just played this bard again tonight for the first time since May. At one point, I started inspiring courage by simply shouting "FREEDOM!!!"

Not quite a "FOR ANDORAN!" moment, but in a similar vein, I had a Taldan cockatrice cavalier.

Every battle started like this.

More on topic, have you considered taking the last bit of the Pledge of Allegiance and yelling it as you charge in?

"One nation, under the gods, with liberty and justice for all!"

Yeah, that could work.

Of course, I can see a lot of fun being had with snippets twisted from speeches of the past as patriotic bards inspire their fellow adventurers.

"Mister Fighter, Tear down this troll!"

:)

Join Andorans, they said... It will be fun, they said...

i had a woman in pfs recently who made a human (fighter)'captain' from andorran who just used a throwing shield in combat with all the relevant feats, and claimed to worship a god named 'america' and be all about freedom and liberty.

had a red white and blue shield with a star and everything.

Or Better yet, you could go with the original wording.

'One Nation, with Liberty & Justice, for all!'

These are communist style inspirational speeches. A bit strange in Andoran.

Funny at the beginning but maybe a bit irritant after a moment no ?

Shadow Lodge

Perform:Comedy to mock the bad guys. "Annnd Noooow it's---Springtime for House Thrune and Cheliax!"

For Profit! For the Lumber Consortium!

(Okay, okay, Andoran is pretty spiffy too.)
