Thank you everyone for letting me join you on this adventure. I do hope I was able to help everyone at least a bit along the way.

Shins expends the last of his most powerful magic to keep the tempo of the party at their peak.

Haste on everyone but Roary.

"Quickly everyone, the longer this goes on the more people will be injured!"

Roary, my inspire greatness did give you 29 temporary hit points, but I'm not sure if they stack with resilience. I do plan to keep it in effect on you as long as I'm able.

And Quiven can have my saving finale. The performance lingers and the effects should last until I pick it up again.

Shins strikes at the monk, but again fails to score a critical blow. The bard doesn't mind much as his attention falls on Roary and the wounds he is suffering.

"I will not let you fall!"

Shins shifts his song to one of the far north, of struggles against great beasts and the people who challenge them in order to inspire greatness within Roary.

This gives Roary +1 competence bonus on Fortitude saves and 2 additional hit dice. This gives Roary 2d10+2xCon Mod temporary hit points.

Roary Temp HP assuming +8 Con mod: 2d10 + 16 ⇒ (3, 10) + 16 = 29

Shins is taken aback by the sudden disappearance of the monk and gives a small cry of fear as he finds the warrior beside him.

Having Roary charge in does alleviate that fear somewhat and Shins attempts to strike the monk and force him into a better position for the party.

Shins moves through the area toward the main platforming maintaining the dirge of doom speaking of the impending triumph of the party as they reach the last leg of their journey.

If someone is stunned with 30 feet of me: I would like to use saving finale to allow someone to reroll a failed save against any of the monk's effects.
If Roary rolls a natural 1 on a saving throw, I would use Lucky Halfling and roll a saving throw using my bonuses against the effect and Roary would be able to use that in place of his own roll.

Shins will continue the dirge of doom. He hesitates wanting to leap to the aid of his allies, but with such a daunting foe, the bard finds it hard to create any opening that doesn't leave himself a liability on the battlefield.

Roary, I concur that I have felt your posting rate has been fine.

Knowing his relatively frailty being among such giants, Shins opts to provide more mystical aid as he focuses more of his music to obscure Hiram in the battle.

"Hiram, I agree with most of your points, but make sure to watch out for the water as well. I've seen many die at sea as well far from any walls!"

Cast blur Hiram. Will change songs to inspire courage next round if Hiram prefers one of his other performances to dirge of doom.

Mystery: 1d20 ⇒ 2

I think Hiram you didn't get good hope on your attack or damage. Also, if you want me to, on my next turn I can carry on in your stead on inspire courage if you would like to use another bardic performance, like bladethirst.

Wei Ji looks good, but I wanted to go over the buffs here and where I think we stand for bonuses (or dispel magic hits). Except for Jin-Goro who has heroism instead of good hope.

Shins tries to come up with words to the person aiding him, but he struggles on how to convey how grateful he is, he just lets that aside for now as he tells the bard thank you.

"We shall stand together and triumph, not because any individual strength, but because we are together and nothing can stop us all."

The words Shins chants as he plucks some strings on his lyre serve as a focus for his magic to bolster his allies with hope and cheer and make those who oppose them waver.

Good hope on all but Jin-Goro. Dirge of doom.

Reflex: 1d20 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 15 + 2 = 32

"Alright! I can support from the front as well!" yells the bard as he attempts to maintain balance down the ramp.

"I should be fine Wei Ji. I'll get there soon, but I don't want to slow you and I can still support you from a distance."

"Thank you for your time Judge."

Shins returns the sap to Quiven as he follows through the open passage.

"Sorry for taking so long. I know I'll be thanking many for our safety if with all make it through this as we are now."

Shins focuses his full attention on the instrument before him as he thinks of all the musicians he has worked with for some epiphany. All that comes to his mind though are those in the here and now trusting him succeed. He then makes attempt on the gong.

Perform: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 4 + 2 = 21
Add Gallant Inspiration if that fails: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6

"Quiven, I'm happy to help you if you wish, but if you want I could try if you were willing to lend your sap."

If Quiven wants to make another attempt at the gong, will attempt to cast heroism on him. Else Shins will take the sap and cast heroism on himself.

Will: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

Wary of an imprecise blow, Shins uses his magic to better guide Quiven's strike.

With the mallet gone Shins refocuses on the safety of his companions. He speeds up the pace of the dirge and hopes the speed of his companions will increase as well.

The remaining bard yells at the room and rushes to the passage Hiram went through. "Hiram! Are you safe?!"

Haste on party, DC 17 Will save for Roary. Move to door, acrobatics to avoid AoO.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15

Shins pleads, "Please don't kill the judge Roary."

"That strike was too swift, the gong is still cold! If you rub the mallet against the metal, it should warm it, but you must be sure of your strike! I would happy to show you to someone else who knows far more than I, but the least I can do now is to guide you with my magic!"

Move up. Cast blur on himself. If someone attempts and fails the skill check to ring the gong, I will cast gallant inspiration as an immediate action to add a 2d4 competence bonus to the skill check.

Shins nods as he begins a mournful dirge in keeping with the procession to make the judge hesitate with his blows.

Ready action to lower casket, start dirge of doom to shaken judge.

"It isn't unusual for heroes in the grand epics to be put through a gauntlet of trials. Maybe that is what they are trying to emulate with all of this."

"Thank you very much for your direction. If you see the Aspis again, let them know I send my well wishes. I doubt they would want to hear it from me."

Shins resists the urge to applaud Hiram's closing and stands aside Wei Ji.

Confident in his party Shins turns to address the audience.

"So as this battle comes to a close, may you all reflect on the strength all have shone today. King and farmer, warrior and crone, man and his blade. May their glories never end and continue to inspire others."

"With much gallantry and righteous fury the warrior charges the ... clown?"

"If you have such trouble dispatching me noble warrior, I would suggest retreat and a long training regime to one of the Monkey King's ballads."

"But if you seek to drive forward in the martial arts, then this clown shall be your match!"

Shins holds his mop to the side and adopts a brief mimicry of a combat pose before delivering a rapid fire set of slaps to the fighter's legs.

"Your dreams are vast and I can't help but be inspired by your dedication on battle," Shins turns to the audience, "Although I question the strength of his claims if this is all he can offer."

"Still, I'm needed elsewhere. Good day warrior and may when we next meet you can offer me a greater challenge!"

Shins gives a bow as he tumbles away behind the daunting cleric to grant aid to others.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15

"Although it seems I am the greatest danger to myself!"

"And the warrior who sought to combat fools only saw to encourage yet more to come to him."

Double move to behind blue fighter making acrobatics checks to tumble past yellow and blue. Also, as a swift action, using a boon to gain 1d8+double character level temporary hp and DR 2/- against attacks from members of the Aspis Consortium.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17

Temporary HP: 1d8 + 18 ⇒ (1) + 18 = 19

Shin calls out to audience "Although the king did claim the ground would bind his enemies, he did not realize they were creatures that were born of the ground. It was always at their backs and feet, driving them forward."

Haste and inspire courage +2 on party

Taka shoots an accusatory look at Hiram granting a judgmental glare to silently imply that the bard has stepped into a role far beyond his station.

"Stop it Taka, I'm sure he doesn't want to be your king."

Shins looks over the remaining sets of gear and make up, imagining the play lines that may involve each.

"Should I take on the role of one of the armored warriors? No one else seems too interested in them. At the moment the performance seems tilted towards comedy."

"Although I am happy to play a clown, although I do have trouble making fun of others, hopefully you might forgive me for not doing as much of that.

Shins would be fine taking the role of one of the heavy armored warriors if no one wants heavy armor, but it is presumably reasonable to want various spells available.

"This is wonderful. I was expecting all the challenges to be violent."

Shins will lead a quick tour of the ship, emphasizing dark corners where wary hostage takers or enchanters might lie along briefly going over the captured attackers.

"The attackers had coins on them with the symbol of the Aspis Consortium, but I can't assure you that isn't a sort of false flag. A few of us have been speaking with one, he refused to give any indication of the employer for the attack."

"I will concur with the suggestions of others here, if your abilities would be better served protecting other groups I implore you to do so. Otherwise I'm happy to accept your offer of protection of my friends," gesturing both to party and his few present crew, " along with my ship."

Wary of both the prior attack and Hiram's intention to weaponize song Shin addresses them with a considerable amount of hope behind his words.

"Ahoy! I ask that you please lower your weapons. I ask what brings you here?"

"I thought it was from an play from Oppara. It seemed nice, I enjoy positive melodies."

Shins focuses on the gear and tries to identify the insignia on the coin the assassins carried.

Use the second result

Shins is happy to provide help to Quiven with spells and song, but but would wait for Jin's delay poison to run out or be dispelled. With taht I can offer the same bonuses I granted Wei Ji (+3 to fortitude saves), which would not affect any of those rolls, but feel free to reroll any saves with my saving finale spell.

"I can set aside a room to hold them, I'll try to make room for anyone who wishes to speak with him. Roary, would you assist in binding them?"

Shins runs up on deck to check the injured. Shins watches for lingering wounds as he finds his remaining crew and instructs them to prepare a clear room and bindings to hold the prisoners until more long term plans are crafted.

"I apologize to both of you for your wounds. I can't remove the poison from your body, but Let me know if there is anything else I can get either of you."

"Should I call for the guard to retrieve them?"

Shin's makes a motion of prayer toward the assassin, lengthening it to a prayer for Wei Ji's health.

"How is everything on deck Roary? Is everyone alright?"

Heroism on Wei Ji. +2 morale bonus on saves, attacks, skill checks.
Inspire Greatness on Wei Ji granting 2d10 Hit Dice of temporary hit points. +2 circumstance bonus on attack rolls and +1 circumstance bonus to fortitude saves.
If Wei Ji wishes to reroll a failed saving throw for the poison after this, I will cast saving finale to give you that reroll.

Shins moves forward toward the stairs to both aid his allies and stop the attacker from endangering the rest of his crew.

If the person doesn't show any intent to stop with this briefest of moments allowed, Shins will attack again, otherwise he will continue using 20 feet of movement to go up the stairs

Attack bonus does not include flanking. If that was a critical hit then the next melee hit on him from an ally will be an automatic critical hit.

With the near deadly blow Shins pushes he is emphatic when he pleads for the attacker to surrender.

Shins rushes out with the calls of intruders. "Crew! Let us take care of the intruders! Don't give them an opening to attack you!"

Seeing the attacker moving from Wei Ji, Shins moves to engage calling out to the tengu. "Ji! Are you alright?"

Double move

"I do have some crew I can call upon, but they are sailors, not warriors or guards. I'm sorry for not being a truly proper host, but we will need to set watches even on ship. I'm happy to help with taking a watch end of night."

I don't need to make any additional preparations. The ship does have a crew, but I have been stating the majority is on leave until the ship is bound for departure. In any case I do not believe even the full crew complement would provide truly comfortable security for the group and the common threats we are facing.

"I'm grateful to you. I wish that we weren't in conflict about this, but even still I wish you the best of luck."

Shins gratefully thanks the bartender and turns his attention to try to aid the warrior.

Shins feels Jin is far more compelling to the ronin than he could be and turns his attention to the bartender.

"I'm sorry, but I don't think he intended to offer drinks for the bar. I know I'm asking much for you for this, but could you say something to him. Maybe even apologize? I'm sure the tab will be settled in any case. Besides this is not the right mood for a bar. If you accept I would be willing to offer play song I know for the next few hours until I must take my rest for the night. Bring back the good feelings this place deserves."

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26

"Sir, I think this is just a misunderstanding, one that we do not wish cause any problem this evening. You don't appear to be from this land and I wouldn't want you to feel anything less than the guest you should be. I would feel nothing but despair and dishonor if anything less happened for you."

Shins moves to check on the dying sorcerer, but doesn't interfere with Wei Ji as he signs a prayer to Desna for the fairer travels of the Aspis.

"I would like to join with them, it is rare that we get the chance to know others while we are out and about rather than just fight them."

"I don't think you should let those bad experiences linger and bind you Ji. I think you should try to build new, better memories over them."

As Shins speaks Taka shakes his head with emphatic disagreement with the master pausing to feign grooming himself when the bard looks to him.

Vote for "join them" but if there is a tie I'll side with "retire". Also with the added note that Shins probably trusts others too much.

Shins sings a song to inspire courage in his allies and moves watching his allies carefully for injuries.

Inspire Courage +2: All allies get +2 circumstance bonus on attack rolls and saving throws. +2 Morale bonus vs fear.

The beginning of battle Shins response with song calling back to a few strums of a epic for when the hero accepts their call to action. With the haste granted he moves out of the field of grasping tentacles.

I can't offer much for either rigging the pump or defending it. I do feel we do have the options to escape with magically accelerated ways if we were forced to. I would rather stick together even at the risk of sewage race, but barring that I can offer my support and split my abilities to try to support both groups.

Shins is ready to aid Quiven from below with magic if the situation calls for it.

"I would guard the pump, but I don't think I could stop anyone who might want to turn it off. I do have more curatives though like Roary drank for anyone else that wants them though."
