Breeze-Kissed (1/day) - Breezes seem to follow most sylphs wherever they go, but some sylphs are better able to control these winds than others. A sylph with this racial trait surrounds herself with swirling winds, gaining a +2 racial bonus to AC against nonmagical ranged attacks. The sylph can calm or renew these winds as a swift action. Once per day, the sylph can channel this wind into a single gust, making a bull rush or trip combat maneuver attempt against one creature within 30 feet. Whether or not the attempt succeeds, the winds are exhausted and no longer provide a bonus to the sylph’s AC for 24 hours. This is a supernatural ability. This racial trait replaces Air Affinity.

Darkvision (60 feet) - Sylphs can see in the dark up to 60 feet.

Nature Bond (Ex) - A storm druid may not choose an animal companion. A storm druid must choose the Air or Weather domain, or the Cloud, Storm, or Wind subdomain.

Nature Sense (Ex) - A druid gains a +2 bonus on Knowledge (nature) and Survival checks.

Spontaneous Domain Casting - A storm druid can channel stored spell energy into domain spells that she has not prepared ahead of time. She can “lose” a prepared spell in order to cast any domain spell of the same level or lower. This replaces spontaneous casting.

Stormvoice (Ex) - At 3rd level, a storm druid’s voice can magically carry over howling winds and peals of thunder. Whenever a Perception check is needed to hear the druid’s voice, the DC is reduced by an amount equal to the druid’s level. This ability replaces trackless step.

Weather Savvy - Some sylphs are so in tune with the air and sky that they can sense the slightest change in atmospheric conditions. Sylphs with this trait can spend a full-round action to predict the weather in an area for the next 24 hours. The sylph’s prediction is always accurate, but cannot account for spells or supernatural effects that might alter the forecast. This racial trait replaces the sylph’s spell-like ability racial trait.

Wild Empathy +3 (Ex) - A druid can improve the attitude of an animal. This ability functions just like a Diplomacy check made to improve the attitude of a person. The druid rolls 1d20 and adds her druid level and her Charisma modifier to determine the wild empathy check result. The typical domestic animal has a starting attitude of indifferent, while wild animals are usually unfriendly. To use wild empathy, the druid and the animal must be within 30 feet of one another under normal conditions. Generally, influencing an animal in this way takes 1 minute but, as with influencing people, it might take more or less time. A druid can also use this ability to influence a magical beast with an Intelligence score of 1 or 2, but she takes a –4 penalty on the check.

Wind Blast (6/Day; Su) - As a standard action, you can unleash a blast of air in a 30-foot line. Make a combat maneuver check against each creature in the line, using your caster level as your base attack bonus and your Wisdom modifier in place of your Strength modifier. Treat the results as a bull rush attempt. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.

Windwalker (Ex) - At 2nd level, the penalties from natural or magical wind effects are treated as one step less severe for a storm druid. This ability replaces woodland stride.

Introduction & Background:

"Have you ever really watched the birds in the sky, I mean really watched them? They soar without a care, free from all the chains that hold us down. I know some chains that hold people are mental, emotional - those I'm not the best for handling, though I'll do my best to try. But physical chains? Those I can help do something about. That's why I'm here."

Appearance:

Liora is a tall, willowy woman with pale skin and silvery-white hair, dressed in plain leather armor and carrying a small wooden shield on her arm. Unlike some sylphs, she lacks swirled markings and has also picked up the faintest bit of a tan from time spent in the sun. Her purple eyes are filled with determination and her smile is both confident and easygoing.

Personality:

Although Liora can and will indulge in her people's penchant for spying and reclusive behavior when she feels the need, she is largely much more open and talkative than most people would expect of a sylph. She has a good heart but is also rather wild and lacks patience - something that those who know and work with her hope will change with time and experience in the field.
