My group and I have introduced a house rule that allows you to trade 10 Skill Points for a bonus feat (as well as increasing class skill points by 2).
Its worked out pretty well so far. And It definitely has alleviated the limited choice of feats we have to choose from. Ive seen a few feats taken now that I dont think I would have before.

Greetings gamers one and all, big and small.
So In my current Kingmaker game I have decided to make the time between each module 5 years. My players seem to really like the idea, cause its the first time where they can play through a characters entire life almost.
We are currently at about 2 and a half years, they have built through the northern half of the greenbelt, alliances with multiple parties, just finished constructing lochs on the shrike, fair amount of income. So they are sitting pretty nicely.
Now of course the world isnt just gonna stop moving cause the players arent somewhere. The Surtova's are noticing this fledgling kingdom, and has a good idea where their loyalties lye (Venture Capital, the players didnt exactly see eye to eye with Surtova representatives). As such the group recently gained the loyalty of a group of Aldori Swordlords, 30 who after several months of service protecting the castle wanted a more important role. They wanted to be the bodyguards of the kingdoms leaders. And my players have jumped on the opportunity. Little do they know, these are Surtova agents courtesy of the Dragonscale Loyalist archetype of the Vigilante class. They will be wolves waiting for the order to strike.

Here is where I have hit my snag. I have no idea how to Stat these guys. What social talents or vigilante talents does the community think fits a Dragonscale Loyalist.

I am also curious if anyone has used this Archetype in their campaign? How was it?

Okay, so you lose Unarmed Strike/Flurry of Blows, and Ki Strike. These seem perfectly reasonable, but then why do you keep your Ki Pool? Looking at the Unchained Monk your Options to use it require Flurry of Blows or Ki Strike. Yes you can get Ki Powers, but for 1 whole level you have a Ki Pool you cant do anything with.

I will probably make a NPC of this to challenge my Swordlord player in Kingmaker.
But from just looking at it so far I like it. I will try to check the source material

I personally wouldnt add a BAB prerequisite.

@i3igAl Look under secondary abilities

@Eltacolibre I will look into those rules

So is this basically Kenshin Himura? Cause I am all for that

Fountain of Youth
Just a drop on your tongue adds 10 years to your life.
And a good swallow gives you 100 more.
Drink it all and you'll live forever.

A sacred treasure of the fairies that grants anyone that drinks it, eternal life. Without the fountain of youth, the Fairy King's Forest will die out. Once drank the imbiber becomes immune to all forms of aging and gains Regeneration 40. No form of attack can suppress this regeneration—they regenerate even if disintegrated or slain by a death effect. If the drinker fails a save against an effect that would kill it instantly, it rises from death 3 rounds later with 1 hit point if no further damage is inflicted upon its remains.

This is essentially the regeneration of a tarrasque. Only thing I could think of to replicate Bans immortality.

Also, if you want to see Powerful, you need to see what I did with the Divine Axe Ritta (If you havent watched Seven Deadly Sins, I highly recommend it. Great Show)

The only one that Kinda has unlocking requirements is the Tessaiga.
As for the others, they were made while in the middle of some high level games, so they were made powerful, really just for fun. Figuring out how to reel them in would be nice. Cause Id love to be able to use them at low level too

@Lazlo I think the table looks fine. Too big of differences between tiers and you increase the chance of finding unbalanced situations. Too little, and then theres practically no point of having tiers. I think you have struck a good balance.

@Lily They do seem to be for the addition of these feats

Could you make the question more specific?

Tessaiga
This masterwork Katana appears to be rusted and beaten from battle-wear.
Exotic One-Handed Melee
Katana, Critical x2, Slashing
Int- 13 Wis- 13 Cha- 10
-Communicates Through Empathy (The possessor feels urges or sometimes emotions that encourage or discourage some types of actions)
Primary Abilities
In the hands of any non-demon, this sword grants the wielder an:
Additional +2 to attack and damage rolls
Anti-Yōkai Barrier: In its sealed form prevents all demons it finds unworthy from holding it. Humans are able to grab the sealed Tessaiga.
Yōkai Absorbtion: The Tessaiga is a sword capable of absorbing the magical properties of what it destroys in order to make itself more powerful. Should the Tessaiga sunder an enchanted object or slay an individual, it may absorb any or all of its extraordinary or spell-like abilities. The Tessaiga may only hold 5 abilities at a time, if absorbs any more you must choose to lose a previously absorbed ability.
Secondary Abilities
A character with the demon bloodline gains all the abilities a non-demon gains. The character also gains access to the following abilities with the Tessaiga:
The wielder of this blade can make a Will save (DC 15) to transform the blade into a large +3 katana. If the character has never used this ability before, the DC is increased to 25. The Tessaiga must be in this form in order to use its other abilities. Tessaiga instantly reverts to its sealed form if the wielder loses hold of the weapon.
Sword Pressure: Once per round as a move action, the wielder can make a ranged attack (20 ft) at his highest base attack bonus. The wielder fires concentrated bursts of demonic energy that deals 2d6 + Charisma Modifier. The wielder must have a +5 BAB to use this ability.
Wind Scar: A number of times a day equal to the wielder's Constitution Modifier, the wielder can can, as standard action or whenever a foe provokes an attack of opportunity to you, you may forgo all other attacks of opportunity that round , let forth a 50 ft. cone that does 4d12 slashing damage (Reflex save DC 10 + half the wielder's level + wielder's charisma modifier for half). The wielder must have a +7 BAB to use this ability.
Backlash Wave: When caught within the blast of a burst, cone or line shaped area of effect that offers a reflex saving throw, the wielder can forgo making a save to make a melee touch attack at the target, ignoring range and distance. This consumes all additional attacks of opportunity you can make that round. If successful, the damage+4d12 is reflected back at the origin of the AoE, and the wielder suffers no damage. If not successful, the blast strikes the wielder with full force and the wielder gets no save. The wielder must have a +9 BAB to use this ability.

Greetings gamers one and all, big and small.
In my next session, the Stag Lord will be killed (He has a single Lieutenant left, and Akiros and Auchs have joined the PCs).
I have been planning to include as many of the alternate rule systems as I can to give my Players a diverse experience. One of my players has plans to make his own vineyard, and I think it will be a perfect opportunity to break out the downtime rules for creating and operating a business.
Has anyone else used the Downtime rules in conjunction with kingdom building? I am looking for some suggestions, on recommended amounts for "start up" funds they could receive in Restov alongside the BP for their Kingdom.

I have actually yet to have a high level game while using Class Defense bonuses. Though hopefully when I reach the end of my current Kingmaker game I will have some more insight on that

Now if I can just get him to understand you cant explain everything in a game with real world physics

Could you help me explain why it is correct, cause I am having trouble doing so

I am having an argument with a player about jumping.
Due to class and mythic ability he has a speed of 65ft.
Run feat and running makes that 325ft.
I am of the belief that because his base speed if 65ft, he gets a +16 to a jump check (+4 per each 10ft above 30 his 65 base speed is, and +4 for the running start)
He is arguing that he should have a +120 (+4 per each 10ft above 30 his 325ft running speed is, and +4 for the running start)

My players and I attempted to use Armor as DR, and after 1 session it was obvious you practically need a class defense bonus to make the system work well.
Wound and Vigor we turned to using when my players kept asking "Well how hurt does he look?" or some variation. Now I can tell them its either a graze (vigor) or a direct hit (wound) without having to stop and think of how to give detail without revealing to much

Eridanus published some Gritter rulebooks that we plan to use for a Game of Thrones game. Dont have to cut it off at E6 if the Mountain can still kill you with a single swing at any level.

Those are quite interesting Lazlo

Ah that does sound similar to what I have. Only with more tables

More skill points for martial characters. 2+Int is a bit harsh when several skills are already essential.

I increase skill points by +2 unless the class already relies on Intelligence (Like Wizard). Though I am considering making it a universal +2, just dont know how that would effect balance.

Next up the Sacred Treasure of Ban the Undead:
Holy Staff Courechouse
-Holy Staff Courechouse is a +5 Extending ShadowStrike Impact Sansetsukon
-Snatch: You may perform a magical ranged disarm against a single target as a Standard Action. Resolve this attempt as normal, except that is doesnt provoke an AOO, you use your Character Level in place of your BAB, and your Highest Mental Ability Modifier. There is no save vs this effect, though spell resistance applies normally.
-Zero Sign: 1/Encounter, For 1 number of Round equal to your HD, you become invisible. This invisibility does not end when you attack.
-Physical Hunt: 1/day, for an entire encounter you may begin to siphon away your enemy's strengths for your own use. Each strike you deal deals 1 point of Strength, Constitution, or Dexterity damage. That point becomes an Enhancement bonus to your own statistic. Each point you siphon from different foes is tracked seperately, and you benefit from only the highest total.

Well my reasoning is better put into words in the Armor Compatability feat, " You are trained to shrug of blows rather than relying on agility to dodge them. "

A hobby of mine has always been recreating characters of my favorite shows to later use as NPCs in my campaigns. I didnt shy from balanced homebrew either if it helped complete the image. One of the fun parts was recreating weapons.

A long time ago I found a thread recreating Fate Stay Night Noble Phantasms as Artifacts

I am a fan of the series, so I saved the weapons for use in later campaigns. Over time though I actually started to use these artifacts as a Guideline for creating more. I created Kanshou & Bakuya, Kazikli Bey, Gae Buidhe, Gae Dearg, and several others. I even used these as a guide to create artifacts based on the Seven Deadly Sins.
I decided I would like to share some of my work fellow gamers.

Now I warn you now that these are QUITE BROKEN. I am aware of this. The only time any of them have been used, I made sure another was used against it to level the playing field. Majority have never been used in a campaign, and were simply made as part of a hobby. So there will be no need to continue telling me how unbalanced or broken they are. I just figured what is the point of allowing them to sit on my computer unused, when others could at least find them entertaining, and if any find them intriguing I can share the rest.

Now to start things off, the sword of the Dragon Sin Meliodas:
Demon Sword Lastvayne
-Lastvayne is a +5 Anarchic Agile Defending Holy Keen Shortsword.
-Full Counter: As a AOO you may reflect an attack using Magical Energies back at their source, Empowering the damage.
-Jitsuzō Bushin: 1/Encounter, you may create up to 4 Clones of yourself. Each Clone Has all your Bonuses, Defenses, and HP equal divided by the amount of Clones. Full Counter never has its power divided.
-Revenge Counter: For a Number of rounds equal to your Con Mod, you may build up all the damage you take in your weapon. At anytime up to the final round, you may release all the stored up energy in a Final Melee Attack Against your Enemy. The attack deals damage equal to all the damage you have taken in a 40ft burst. Anything in the blast radius gets a Ref Save for half (DC 10+Half lvl+Str Mod).

I kinda like it, though for my own games Id probably change Close Range and Line of Effect to Close Range and Line of Sight. That way I can occasionally force the healer in closer with a Darkness spell or such.

@Lazlo - I used that very same table for a while. But it always bothered me that the People who could also wear strong armors also got the highest bonus. What I use now is based off of the Wheel of Time d20 system.

@Lily I like those feats, and I am running them by my group for opinions.

Full Casters have the low progression because the general idea is that they arent gonna be mixing it up in melee that often.

Martial Classes like the fighter have this lower progression as well because the idea is that they are taught less about Dodging an attack, and more of just making sure their armor absorbs the blow (hence the feat, and the subrule for it in games using DR as armor).

Bards arent full casters, they have a variety of skills, so they have some knowledge of combat even if the most common role of them is support casting.

Monks, as were mentioned, are in the lower progression even though youd normally expect them to have the higher, but it is balanced out with their AC Class bonus and the ability to add their Wisdom modifier.

Well like I said, my group has used this for a while, and they really enjoy it. But thats not what I came here asking about in the first place, so I digress

Class defense bonus represents your ability to avoid attacks, so as a group we decided it makes sense that it also applies to Touch Defense. This really takes away from the Benefit of being able to make Touch Attacks in the first place.

I actually have this made into a small table in a word document so it doesnt exactly copy over very well, I shall try my best

Class has No Armor Proficiency or All Armor Proficiency = A
Class has Light Armor Proficiency or Light & Medium Armor Proficiency = B
For Each additional base class beyond the First, you subtract 2 From the Defense Bonus.

Level A B
1st  +3 +3
2nd  +4 +4
4th  +4 +5
5th  +5 +5
6th  +5 +6
8th  +6 +7
10th +6 +8
11th +7 +8
12th +7 +9
14th +8 +10
16th +8 +11
17th +9 +11
18th +9 +12
20th +10 +13

New Feat
Armor Compatibility
Prerequisite: Heavy Armor Proficiency
Effect: You are trained to shrug of blows rather than relying on agility to dodge them. Your Class Defense Bonus stacks with the equipment bonus provided by armor.
Armor as DR: You gain half your Armors DR Bonus as an Equipment Bonus to Defense.

First off:
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/other-rules/wounds-and-vigor
I do believe the Wound and Vigor Rules originated in Ultimate Combat

My group enjoys grittier more serious gameplay. As such we use Wound and Vigor along with Armor as DR. To counter act the loss of AC I implemented a Class Defense Bonus system. We have been doing it this way for months and it has worked great. Only 1 small hickup occasionally, and thats with Touch AC. Touch ACs are now marginally higher than in a typical game. To compensate for this we have just started granting touch attacks a +6 Circumstance bonus, but I dont feel as if that is a solid way to fix the problem.
Id like to get some ideas and opinions from the gaming community

Creating artifacts based on the Seven Deadly Sins treasures

Any information on this "Coin Baron?" He seems like a pretty interesting addition, in my head he is just Little Finger(one of many GoT characters I have a build for).

I have restarted my Kingmaker game over to incorporate your work. The Duchies, political intrigue, all of it. I dont think I have a player who isnt a fan of Game of Thrones so they should all love it. Even had a large map made of Brevoy, Stolen Lands, Mivon, and other surrounding areas just for this

I have developed some homebrew mass combat rules, using inspiration from a variety of sources, and would like to know if anyone would like to review them.

It would help. Ill be running Kingmaker in a month or two

Sorry for the ancient Necro, but:
Does anyone have a copy of the Manuscript being discussed here?

Thank you.

You have actually made me make my first post in these forums I believe. And it is entirely to ask, has there been more to this story? I am honestly upset that I am already in the 3rd module and cant use some of these ideas.

Also, What does dotted mean?
