I have the 08 version of the rules. Are the career skill options different between the versions? And, could someone check that my cascade choices are still right? Daniel - Since Gun Combat is consolidated down into three choices now, what are the standard arms of the Moonbase - (a) slug throwers, with energy considered as squad/heavier weapons, or (b) energy weapons, with slug throwers a throwback? It'll help with my re-assigning that skill point. ![]()

I'm interested in joining also. I've never done play by post before, so I don't know how problematic that lack of experience is... I've played LBB Traveller, but specific knowledge of the background (beyond what you give us) doesn't sound necessary, from what you say in the write up? Let me know if new to the style of play is ok. ![]()
I am looking through the 'How to format your text' help feature, and it all makes sense (start/end your tags). But - how do you get the 'Show' button to work? When I use the 'Spoiler' tag the text is appropriately hidden - but with a big Spoiler warning. How do you drop the spoiler, or change the word to what you want it to be (like the characters name)? The FAQ has the same instructions as the 'Show' button in the text input window. Are there more/different instructions about how to use the feature some place, or a more complete list of tags functions? A confused newbie thanks you all... :) ![]()
What's the date Detroit got whacked?
Just starting to work out my characters background. Maybe this question can wait - should we build to the 150/100 you mentioned, with you modifying/changing powers and abilities, or should we build to a lower level (like 50/50 or something) with a projection indicating what we would like to take it to the total? Do you see any disads as 'mandatory' (Subject to orders, public id, whatever)? Should we design powers with limitations, if we're presenting a wish list character? |
