Meloriel here, finally having decided which character I'm going to bring. I'll be my inquisitor of Abadar.
@ Ellioti - Welcome! Yes, you have plenty of time to make your character. No rush. For PFS, I highly recommend creating someone you really have a passion for playing, instead of what it looks like the group might need. Most characters will have a way to deal with most situations (including many characters owning a healing wand that they share with the group, even if they themselves can't use it). Since your teammates will be different every time, you'll very often pay in groups that aren't 'perfect' or 'balanced.' Try not to worry about it. You'll get used to it. Haha.
- As for what you need to know... Make sure you follow the character creation guidelines in the Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild Guide (the updated version just came out for season 10, so if you haven't downloaded the updated version you should do so).
- If you decide to use something outside of the core rulebook to make your character, make sure it's allowed in PFS play by heading over to the Additional Resources. Look up the book and see whether the archetype/feat/whatever in question is sanctioned for play. Don't forget that you need to own the book you're using something from.
- If this is your first ever PFS character (your -1), they qualify for the Welcome to Pathfinder Boon. Download it, fill our what you can, and then you'll need a GM to sign off on it for you (the GM who that character will first play under). For online play that will probably involve saving it to your google drive and providing our GM the link to it so he can finish filling out what he needs to and send it back).
- And that's it I guess. Anything else you need to know about PFS play you'll learn as we go by playing/wrapping up at the end.

Lawmaster Malora smiles proudly as she leaves Andoran. She had been on plenty of missions, but they all felt so... hollow. Innocents left unsaved, corruption left unchecked, chaos rampant, and the lawbreakers! Abadar's Golden Key, they were so many!
But here? Today?
Today she was proud. Law and order had won the day. The guilty went punished, and the innocent received their just rewards.

"The choice has been made," she tells the yellow guard. Then she swings her heavy mace at him.

Lawmaster Malora frowns. She points her mace at the woman and says, "You have been judged as unrepentant for your crimes. The penalty is immediate arrest. If you resist we will use lethal force. If at any time you wish to surrender, I recommend you say so loudly and clearly!”
With a look at the bodyguards, Malora adds, "You two have one final chance to back down. If you do not surrender now, you will be judged guilty alongside her. Choose wisely."
She utters her threats and points her mace. Attempting to demoralize the bodyguard nearest to me into surrendering.

Malora shakes her head. "You're hired criminals. The key word there is criminals. You kidnapped an innocent woman. You're men are under arrest, and so are you. Tell me all you know about who hired you and I will be sure to impress upon the local authorities the need for leniency during your trial. If that information leads to the arrest of your employer, I'm sure your sentence will be minimal. Especially if you let Miss Thalia go without a fight. She seems inclined to lobby on your behalf."

She disarms the prisoners, pulls out her rope and ties them all up (and ties them to the stairwell's railing).
"Try to escape and things will go much worse for you."

Once the prisoners are all together, Malora gives them a stern look. "We have questions. You will answer honestly and immediately. Understood?"
She asks the following questions one at a time, with time for them each to answer in between.

"Why did you attack us?"

Unsurprised that the criminals didn't surrender, Malora charges at the red enemy, passing judgement upon them loudly.
"You have been judged as unrepentant for your crimes! You will be brought in violently if necessary. I recommend you state your name, the name of your closest relative and the region where they can be found for the record, so I can notify them of your arrest or death in a timely fashion."

"Attention lawbreakers!" She calls out in a loud, stern voice. "I am Lawmaster Malora! In the name of Abadar, Master of the First Vault, you are hereby accused of kidnapping! Throw down your weapons and surrender peacefully! Refuse and I will deliver judgement upon you immediately!”

Now is the time to fight for what is good and right in this world. Both of you have the connections and influence to assist us in wiping the demons right off of Golarion. If we can only forge bonds of friendship strong enough to see you join us." Looking at Tercio, Malora says, "Whether or not we receive your aid now, or in the future, we will find your daughter. We will bring her home to you." Turning to Sander Bryton she adds, "Thank you for listening, Commander. I wish you luck in your future endeavours, whatever they may entail."

Lawmaster Malora narrows her eyes suspiciously at the friendly guard. He had ignored every one of her questions. Incompetence? Or orders?

"We're not 'the public' ma'am. I am Malora Nagovya, Lawmaster in service of Abadar's clergy, here on behalf of the Pathfinder Society. It's important we meet with Mayor Andares."

"Have they uncovered any leads that you know of?"
"What about suspects or witnesses?"
"Do you know of anyone who might wish Thalia, her father, or their family ill will?"
When they arrive at Andares Manor she turns and offers the Captain another handshake. "Thank you for your time, Captain. It's been a pleasure."
On the front step of the Manor, Malora looks around...

Thinking back on what she recalls of the Andares family, Malora tells the others, "The Andares family has owned their wineries since long before the People's Revolt. They gave up their noble title willingly, and are quite well-liked. Their winery employs a lot of the town -- directly or indirectly. Nearly every mayor of Sauerton for the last 44 years has been a member of close relative of the Andared family. There a few people who claim that they strongly encourage anyone who makes trouble for the family to leave town. I'm not sure if there's any merit to those claims, though."

Malora's smile falters. "Hellknight...? No relation to the ones who recently kidnapped and tortured some scholars to prevent them teaching history, I hope?" She forces some joviality into her tone, but memories of the tormented academics she had recently broken out of a Chelish black site were hard to shake.

It takes a moment for Malora to register Tuthil's introduction. "Ah, yes! Sorry!" She smiles widely and holds out a hand, offering a firm handshake to Tuthil, then the rest of her new teammates.

Malora Nagovya had brown, short cropped hair, brown eyes and an easy smile. She wore practical clothes in shades of gold and brown, and well-maintained studded leather armour. Around her neck she wore a hand carved holy symbol of Abadar, a glorious key painted in shades of sparkling gold. She was Brevic by birth, a Rostlander to be precise, and proud of it. Her skin was pale, and her form hardened by a lifetime of labour. A heavy mace hung off her belt and a light crossbow was slung across her back.
Malora was a Lawmaster of the Church of Abadar, a ranking meant for the church's most martial and confrontational clergy. She had earned her place with years of hunting taxevaders, bandits and lawbreakers throughout Brevoy and the neighbouring River Kingdoms. She enjoyed it immensely, but felt something was missing. She kept peace, and allowed civilization to grow, but as she looked around at the bickering and back-biting politics of her home country, she realized they were no closer to reaching Abadar's Perfect Civilization. If anything, her people were regressing. Civil War threatened to erupt at any moment. The answer, she believed, lay in both Abadar's teachings, and in the past. And so, Lawmaster Malora had joined the Pathfinders, with the intent of discovering all she could of past civilizations, so that the lessons learned from their successes and their failures could be applied to modern-day cities.
She had started with such hope. But her last mission... It had been.... draining. Emotionally. Spiritually. She'd be happy if she never set foot in Cheliax again.
Hopefully this is a worthy cause that won't threaten to turn me into a criminal...
At hearing news of the kidnapping, she gasps. "Kidnapped right from the celebration? What nerve!" She shakes her head. "Despicable."
She nods her head an Venture Captain Brackett. "I'll bring these lawbreakers to justice and save the girl."
She taps her chin with a finger, in thought. "As for securing their aid against the Worldwound... Is there anything else we should know that could help us in our negotiations? About our work in the Worldwound, perhaps? Or their current political goals?"
