While Laeowynne is handy with a bow he is not the sort to actual use the weapon for hunting seeing he has no woodland skills. He is content to just watch the others do their hunting part as he tries to stay clean and comfortable in the wild. ---------------------------------------- Once the group breaks for camp Laeowynne sets up his area and finds a clean log to sit on as he cleans himself and his weasel. Prestidigitation on his robes, boots, gloves, backpack, spellbook after he dropped it in the mud etc. He then ignores the others as he studies his spells.
The noble elf listens to the others recant their tales and then finally joins in when the motor mouth is done speaking. "My most recent assignment was a difficult one. At the behest of the church of Pharasma, I descended into the sealed lower levels of the Godsmouth Ossuary with a group of Pathfinders. We had to contend with ancient Thassilonian guardians and traps, undead creatures risen from the corpses buried there, as well as other recent threats. We made our way through the strange dungeon where we eventually encountered an ex Pharmasian lunatic and his army of alchemically created skeletons and zombies. We defeated the heretical alchemist and his zombie army to stop the theft of bodies from the Godsmouth Ossuary. It was not a mission for the weak or feint of heart."
A tall and regal looking elf sits quietly in a chair and listens to the briefing sipping tea. "Fascinating..." is all he says as the briefing is going on. Once the VC is done the elf puts his tea in his mage hand and asks "You mentioned a temple. Do we know for what purpose this temple was built?" He picks some lint off of his robes as he asks another question "Having never been to Jalmeray so what is the weather like there? The terrain? The culture?" and then he grabs his tea from his mage hand and continues sipping awaiting answers.
"Egads! These are Lemure Devils! They are planar outsiders.Use Good OR Silver weapons as they are tough. They are strong willed against attacks against their minds, as they are mindless creatures.They are also immune to fire and poison, and very tough against acid and cold.They have darkvision and can see in total darkness. And they have very sharp claws!"
... "It seems that all of the bodies here are affected by a Gentle Repose spell which preserves the remains of a dead creature so that they do not decay. Nice spell, not my cup of herbal tea though. Used by Necromancers because using the spell effectively extends the time limit on raising that creature from the dead, which is a bit unsettling for my taste."
"Well now that poses a problem of sorts for us. What are our options? Retrace our steps to find the best location to chime? See if there is a way past this barrier from another hallway perhaps? Maybe something we missed? You said other traps. Do we expect the same kind of traps guarding the same locations as we continue? This is my first exposure outside of the academic environment and I am finding it quite deadly so I thank the stars for the rest of you being here to see me through this, but sometimes we should stop and think before rushing head straight into danger." the elf says rapidly, a sign of his uneasiness...
