"Fair lady La Sireene, you always know how to make me blush." He accepts the peck on the check and responds with a tight hug. "Please don't hesitate if you need my bow."

"Dear friend Ianez, you are much the scholar than I am. If you like, I can continue your training the bow. You have much potential" The monk offers the scholar a hug.

Quinn sees the bomb coming towards him. He has no options but to take the full brunt of the explosion. Other members of the monk order are known to come away from such a blast such as this one without a scratch. Those monks train in the art of hand to hand combat and use their uncanny agility to completely evade the blast, but a Zen Archer monk devotes his life to the perfection of the bow, to be one with the weapon, the chosen weapon of Erastil...good Old Deadeye. This creature will pay for such blasphemous words.

Quinn doubles over to protect his core as much as he can. Such strategy proves to be beneficial as the shrapnel punctures and gouges into his arms and legs. The stinging metal penetrates his flesh but it's either human stubbornness, zen training or just sheer force of his will that keeps him going.

A part of me was hoping that Volst would be still around. I was thinking, if it came down to Gaston and Volst in a fight, and Quinn being Volst's magical battery of sorts, the monk would take his life hence no more magical battery. It's a good thing that scenario never happened. ;-)

Quinn find it hard to decide which target to fire upon. There is an internal struggle within him in firing to the female floating in the air, but two thins helps him make up his mind. It is Caromarc's response to his initial question, "If I am correct, the lady will see death as a blessing, but I doubt our attacks will do more than subdue her." and her initial acrane attack upon the monk's friends.
This seems to make sense to the monk and he releases his volley of four arrows towards the floating spectre.

"Does any of you hear crying from across the path? Wait a second....there is a form....I can't make it out"

The monk pauses and looks around the path. "Bone golem. Check out the large bones in the walls." Quinn points out the bones embedded in the walls of the icy chasm.

Quinn starts off moving slowly forward to sure what Gaston said is not the case. He occassionally kneels to check what is under the snow. The zen archer moves across with bow and arrows, ready for the bone golem.
