My last giveaway gathered a lot of interest, but some of the people who won did not contact me back. So, I'm starting over and adding some new stuff to the list. I have Masks of the Living God, We Be Goblins Too and Dawn of the Scarlet Sun. They're all in good shape, but We Be Goblins Too is slightly used (it's provided my tables with tons of fun, so know I'm passing it on). I have randomly generated 3 different numbers between 1-30 for each book. To enter, say what book you want, and pick a number. Whoever guesses the number will get the book. Please only pick one book that you want. Example: Quote: I want Blood of the Moon. 16681264901646. Number not actually between 1 and 30. If no one has this by the end of the day, I'll give away one random prize to a random poster. I'll continue like this for the next three days. I'll be mailing them to whoever wins. If you win, I'll say it here in the thread, then PM you. If you do not respond within two days, I'll send a PM to a random contestant. Due to cost, I cannot ship out of the U.S. I apologize if anyone has posted from other countries. Pass on the holiday cheer!
In the spirit of holiday giving (and stealing ideas from fellow gamers ) I'll be giving away my hard copies of Blood of the Moon, We Be Goblins Too and Masks of The Living God. They're all in good shape, but We Be Goblins Too is slightly used (it's provided my tables with tons of fun, so know I'm passing it on). I have randomly generated 3 different numbers between 1-50 for each book. To enter, say what book you want, and pick a number. Whoever guesses the number will get the book. Please only pick one book that you want. Example: Quote:

My Barbarian just hit level 12, and I'm looking to play him in Eyes of the Ten (PFS level 12 scenarios). As of right now, my primary concern is his lack of defense (stats below). I'm looking for advice on how to boost this. I'm half tempted to just go armor-less and just rely on my HP and healing. Spoiler: Hit Points: 179 / 227 Raging AC: 19 (6 armor, 2 Dex, 1 deflection) / 14 Raging Important items: +2 Chain Shirt, Ring of Protection +1, Belt of Str +2, Amulet of Mighty Fists Important class info: Invulnerable Rager (DR6/-), Come and Get Me rage power, Raging Vitality feat 27148 gold after selling +2 Chain Shirt and Ring of Protection +1 Possible AC
Looking for some ideas of some rooms in the "home" of an insane wizard. Basically, this wizard lives in a giant snake-like aquatic machine and has done so for nearly a hundred years. In this time he only has a small group of adventurers that he sees once a month. Other than that he is in complete solitude. I'm looking for ideas on rooms that may have come out of his experiments and research. Pretty much anything is possible as the amount of magic at his disposal is vast. The campaign is heavily into planar travel, evil entities (Devils, Demons, Daemons, Crime lords, etc.) and the "fall" of the gods. I've already got a few rooms going, but any ideas or advice would be great.
I'll preface my question by saying this, I've only skimmed over the Mythic Adventures PDF as of now. That being said, I'm looking at the Mythic monsters, and I'm wondering how PC's are supposed to overcome DR X/Epic at low levels. Even the CR 4 Mythic Ogre has DR Epic. I'm sure I'm missing something, so can someone elaborate? DR/Epic : A type of damage reduction, DR/epic can be overcome only by a weapon with an enhancement bonus of +6 or greater (Pathfinder RPG Bestiary 299). Weapons with special abilities also count as epic for the purposes of overcoming damage reduction if the total bonus value of all of their abilities (including the enhancement bonus) is +6 or greater.
I am considering making a Rogue and/or a Ninja, and I was wondering, do their sneak attacks stack? For example if I had 1 level of Rogue and 1 level of Ninja, would I do 2d6 on a sneak attack? Also, I was thinking of going knife master. If I took one level of Knife Master Rogue, and the rest ninja, would I do D8's or D6's if using the specified items? Knifemaster: Sneak Stab

I have ran into a serious problem that I'm sure many casters deal with. My AC and HP blows. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to bump it up to reasonable levels. My stats as it stands are:
Spoiler:
Level 8 Human Witch Standard:
HP 57
With Threefold Aspect cast, adopting elderly form:
HP 57
Some ideas to get my AC higher:
Even with these two, I am up to 17 normal / 19 Mage armor, or 16/18 with Threefold Aspect. This is abysmal when creature CR 5-8 are hitting with +10-20. Any advice on how to handle this overall squishyness?
Is it possible to use a large Scizore as a two handed weapon? From the description, it doesn't sound possible, but I don't know if there's any rule actually against it. Quote:
I'm trying to figure out what magic items to get for my level 5, soon to be 6, PFS Witch. Currently I have: Ioun Stone - Dusty Rose Prism, Cracked
Max purchase price: 8,000 GP.
I was wondering, how does the round rotation for the Slumber hex work? - Do the rounds the target is asleep start on your turn, or their turn?
The way I understand it, the target is asleep for two of THEIR actions, and they awaken on the third round. This could be incorrect, so I decided to ask.
Looking for any advice on what feats (3) go well with: 1) Axebeak used as a mount.
Both will be supplementing my archer, using a Vicious Amulet of Mighty Fists and have Favored Enemy bonuses on top of their base stats (when fighting said enemies, which seems to be quite frequently in PFS). For the Axebeak I'm completely lost as to what to pick up. Is it possible to make his natural attacks provoke AoO's? If so, I may go Toughness, Combat Reflexes and something else. For the Cheetah, I'll most likely pick up Weapon Finesse, but nothing else comes to mind. Improved Natural Attack looks very nice for both of them.
Recently, I got a chronicle sheet that provided my Ranger (level 5) access to using an Axe Beak for my animal companion, and I was wondering how it's advancement works? Is it considered a normal animal companion and given Animal Companion Base Statistics chart to use, or would I use the stats from Bestiary 3? If it's the latter, would any changes be made to the bird as I progress in level?
When I began playing PFS a couple months ago, I was obsessed with trying to build a Gutbuster (Thibbledorf Pwent) type character, but my lack of knowledge and doubt in the "viability" (keeping up with others at my table) has prevented this. Any fans of R. A. Salvatore's Drizzt series will immediately know what I'm talking about, but for those of you who don't, here's the basic concept: The Gutbuster is an elite member of the Dwarven army that has been intensively trained in the use of special bladed and spiked armor. These insane warriors rush their enemy, punching, gouging and slashing with all their might. Their real prowess comes when they can grapple an opponent. Once the Gutbuster has a hold, he begins to vigorously shake, allowing the bladed armor to make mincemeat of said enemy. Gutbuster's are fearless, charging into any fight with reckless abandon. Despite their heavy armor, Battlerager's are extremely agile. With that in mind, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction on how to build this crazy bastard. I know he would be grapple based, but I'm not sure how his damage would work. After his opponent is grappled, he could do spiked gauntlet damage, but not much else (I could be completely wrong on this).
Currently, I'm working on a melee based Alchemist for Society play. As of right now here's what I'm thinking: ------------------ Half-Orc
Abilities:
Equipment:
Feats:
Traits:
Extracts:
Discoveries:
------------------
- What is the Str bonus on Claw Claw Bite from Feral Mutagen? 1x Str for the bite and 1/2x Str for the claws? - Would Enlarge Person increase Claw damage to 1d8 and Bite damage to 2d6? Bestiary 2 lists Feral Mutagen's CCB damage the same as a Large monster. - With Accelerated Drinker, could a Mutagen and an Extract could be imbibed in the same round? - Would taking the Vivisectionist archetype be a good choice? Can Vivisectionist sneak attacks be made multiple times via Claw Claw Bite, or would it only apply once?
I'm a little confused about purchasing magic weapons, and I was wondering if someone could confirm or correct my math. +1 Corrosive Masterwork Composite Longbow - Str Adjusted + 2 Composite Longbow 100gp
Thinking about starting a Ragechemist Alchemist for a PFS group I go to. So far, here's what I've come up with: Human
Str 20 (+2 Human bonus)
Feats: Martial Weapon Proficiency / Power Attack Weapon: Greataxe 1d12 / +5 to hit / +7 dmg (or 8? What's the rule on rounding Strength damage bonuses?) The good part IMO: Mutagen: +4 Str +2AC -2Int
Together to get 26 Str / +7 to hit / 3d6 +14 dmg I feel like this is a bit TOO strong to be a level 1 character. Am I doing my math wrong, missing some rules, or anything else? |
