"If trouble starts here, it's at least remote. I believe I can get us in. I can make myself look official and say that you all are "intrusion experts" to examine the security. With a little mentalism I can enhance this. Even those that resist often don't know anything was tried."
She pauses to think, "I suggest the safe way as well. If time becomes an issue, it's easier to change and take more risk than to pull back."
She bows deeply, "There is nothing finer than to work for the life of another. If I can help in any way, I will."
She nods, "So, by using her name, you are forging the link that lets her stay in this realm? Sustaining her?"
"We have faced mortal peril together and stood by each other. I swear that I will keep your confidence."
Sorry. Damn disappearing notifications.
"Certainly, You can have many words."
I also think that keeping close to Amberlae and not dragging her through dangerous places is better.
"Let's give Amberlae the captain's cabin. She needs to rest up and it's probably the most defensible spot on the ship."
"We will do what we can for them. And you will always have our support." She will help her up to her feet. "We'll be at your side the whole time."
At Julie's comment, she changes back to her more familiar face. "I do hope that this stays between us. I prefer to keep who I am among friends."
She thinks over the Princess' plan "It also allows us to get word out to the people. I expect their plans do not involve word spreading about this conspiracy." She thinks it over, "But we do need to be prepared for a quick escape should things go awry."
Kiyomi shakes her head at this needless tragedy, "This conspiracy has corrupted people who should have been among the most steadfast. We should bring him in with us."
It takes her a few seconds more to clear her head. "Amberlae, It's me, Kiyomi. I had to come find you." She steps forward calmly with a warm smile. As she does, she transforms to show he true face. One that she had only shown the princess once before. She grows out her fur and her face changes, showing the fox blood inherent in her lineage.
Looks like I don't need to roll this turn. :) "Any confused character who is attacked automatically attacks its attackers on its next turn, as long as it is still confused when its turn comes."
In her befuddled state, she lashes out at the creature that tried to hurt her.

The light seem to have created an epiphany in Kiyomi, "How should you navigate this magical cosmos? Being, look within and synergize yourself. The dreamtime is calling to you via morphic resonance. Can you hear it? By maturing, we believe. We are at a crossroads of transcendence and stagnation. Yes, it is possible to exterminate the things that can obliterate us, but not without curiosity on our side. Without non-locality, one cannot exist. The complexity of the present time seems to demand a flowering of our essences if we are going to survive."
Kiyomi will blast the armored figure.

Sorry, thought I had posted. Real life is pretty messy right now
Kiyomi spends a moment to heal herself up some more and to see if the armored figure is person and if they are controlled.

At recognizing that they are runes, Kiyomi focuses her attention and looks up at the ceiling.
Real life happens. And sometimes it really sucks. I'll be here as long as you want to keep going.
Since he won't drop, she keeps up the assault.

I favor eliminating them as well. But if Seria believes she can handle them, I would reluctantly allow this.
When Ellara bring up the fake, "It could mean an impostor actually exists, or it could be a manipulation to get loyal supporters to turn against the only princess. We don't know enough."
Kiyomi sighs with her internal conflict. "I hate to say this, but releasing them to the guards likely means that the conspiracy will learn that we are working against them. They could turn our families against us or retaliate against our loved ones to get us to stop."
"We could attempt to find a criminal willing to keep them imprisoned, but it would take time and significant money. It would also likely be a slaver or kidnapper as they are the ones prepared to retrain people. If they escaped or were freed, we wouldn't know."
"If we need to take the ... darker path. I am willing to do the deed." She obviously does not want to do this, but she is willing to take the sin on herself to protect those who may have moral qualms about it.
"Pleas stay safe. We will pass your regards to the Princess." Says Kiyomi as they prepare to move onward.
She seems quite shaken by the experience and takes a moment gasping for air. "Beware. They have protections in their mind to kill them if their mind is being read and take the observer with them. She will relate what she saw, spies, special couriers of the crown. Sealed orders. True seal. Seal correct. The King's Signet.
Find the Princess. Find the Fake. Before she caused more trouble.
Eliminate.
Eliminate the Fake.
Darkness. Red. Hunger. Consuming. Feast on the intruder. Feast on the mind. Devour. Consume. Take our secrets to the Boneyard.

Greater read mind
This week is going to be pretty crazy. Lots of meetings at work, and juggling termite tenting, prep and taking care of the dogs in my off time.
I'm not sure how much time I'll have, so please robot me as needed.
"Of course." she says, with a blade of force.

Kiyomi will watch those they have here. She will whisper to others, "who has rope?"
Kiyomi continues to focus on the visions to keep the two occupied in something other than killing us. She realizes that at some point they have to keep some alive to read their mind.
Kiyomi steps to the door. She seems scared by all of this as she crouches down. But inside, she's focusing on altering the perceptions of the attackers to distract them.
Three of them are seeing a swirling portal in the corner of the room. Shadowy incorporeal undead are silently coming forth and preparing to ambush their allies.
Lesser group vision, targeting A1 A2 and A3. Marked on the map as Il and they appear to be stalking A4 and A6. DC20 will save
"To root out the conspiracy, defeat them, find the princess and return her safely." she says without hesitation. "or die trying."
Kiyomi will step in, "Was Amberlae hurt when you last saw her?" there's a pleading in her voice. This isn't about the fate of a kingdom to her. It's somebody who's frightened for her friend.
Do any of us recognize her?

"There's no need to disturb it. It will likely have another monster."she says, annoyed at having to deal with this while Amberlae is in danger.
Looking back in the history, the post describing the "wrong" box actually had the right phrase on it. So even if we were expecting a puzzle about tiny little details, we didn't have the right information to actually accomplish this. We looked like fools for nothing.
"'To my house, am I bound.'" she seems upset at having failed before and the words are burned in her memory.
Kiyomi will slide in after the more rugged types.
"If we move the child, we are responsible for it." she agrees.
"Let's at least wait until we're ready to leave," she says. "Bringing a child into danger is cruel."
