After washing his hands, Killian nods to Eamae.

"You have my thanks." Turning to Aram, he chuckles. "That, my new friend, is a very nice trick. I am certain we will be able to use that in the days to come. And if you are volunteering to lead us out of here, by all means, please do."

Killian sighs, a long low breath.

"Did anyone else think things have been far to hectic lately? I haven't fought for my life this much...ever!"

He looks down at his claws.

"Um...If we are passing out magical healing....I would love to get my hands cleaned...this is disgusting."

That's my fault then. Can we work it as a charge so he can close the gap?

Killian's eyes narrow, and he draws his twin kukri. He advances on the creatures, waving them menacingly.

"They vomit on you? That..is the worst thing I've ever heard of!"

He grimaces as he nears the first remaining creature.

Melee Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Killian is perplexed at Aram's behavior, but doesn't read into it too much.

"Yes, let's continue."

Killian moves to the rat in front of Zakli, and swipes at it with his claws, missing wildly.

He growls, and gives the rat an angry look.

I imagine Killian is watching the rear, so is probably in transit when any action starts. Would you like him on the ladder, or just off the board for now?

Killian follows the group, eyes alert.

"They are actually very recent. They could be our culprits."

"That makes sense to me. They can't be much bigger than a human infant."

Oh wow, you lot were busy yesterday! I checked the game Saturday, and then again this morning. 20 posts! Yikes. I love the enthusiasm though. Let's keep it going!

Killian kneels down on his haunches next to Zakli, and looks at the tracks. He examines the tracks, noting the depth of the depression, and the softness of the earth.

He's not trying to identify, just see if he can use his tracking skills to gauge anything else, i.e. the age of the print, the approximate weight of that which made the tracks, etc.

Survival Check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

"I say yes. I'm a fan of being thorough. Anyone else?"

"I don't, although I am curious as to the nature of the spell. Can you tell if it is perhaps a defensive magic?"

Killian draws his pair of kukri, and then follows Kessa's lead. He moves the other way, trying to avoid any spells getting thrown. Once in position, he lays into one of the dogs with his blade.

Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

"I'm sure that would, and pardon the Tengu joke here, ruffle a few less feathers, but how to you suggest we do so?"

Killian nods at Eamae's whisper. He turns his back on the group, and keeps an eye out for an ambush.

Perception Check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Killian's eyes darken as he reads the letter, and something passes behind them. A slight recollection, perhaps?

"I stand with Kintargo."

He puts his hands on his hips, and nods once firmly.

"I'm more than a little fed up. I'm in. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Killian. Killian Shaburn. I've got a few bones to pick with the current...establishment."

Wild-eyed, and still caught up in the moment, Killian takes several deep breaths to calm himself. Once he has settled a bit, he turns to Eamae.

"You have our thanks Em. Truly, we are grateful for your assistance. Our wounds are...bad, though not as terrible as they could be, I suppose."

He tries a smile, though that is a strange look on his beak, and with such a crazed glint in his eyes.

If he gets past Ariela:

"NO! No escape for you!" He leaps at the man, hands extended.

Um...so I won't even post what's going on here. These rolls are so atrocious that I will have to let GM Shady tell me what in the hell Killian is doing with himself. If you count the damage roll, that's THREE ones in a row! Even then, confirming a fumble with a one...is Bad News Bears.

Killian, roaring with an angry growl, makes a downward swiping motion with his left hand. A bird come screeching down from above the alley, and begins flapping it's wings over Killian's head. It is a brown falcon, with a golden tiger-striped pattern across it's wings.

Tengu Language:

His right hand he thrusts at his opponent's face. He flicks his wrist at the last second, trying to tear the man's cheek. After he lunges at the man, Killian's eyes roll back in his head, and he collapses to the ground. The falcon is still flying around him, screeching at everyone.

Free action to handle the animal companion, standard to attack. Killian ordered the companion to defend him. Since he took a standard, he falls. I'll put a stabilization roll here too.

Also Killian is at exactly zero, and he's a bit...upset right now. He'll likely take another swing at the guy in front of Kessa before he goes down.

Killian, still in the throws of battle, turns to attack the enemy in front of Kessa.

"Hey! Ugly! Look at me!"

He throws himself at the man, trying to be more of a distraction, than actually bring the man to the ground.

Killian will throw himself into the fight, rushing past Kessa, on her right. He leads with his right claw, trying for a swipe to the man's face.

Killian swings his claws at the man nearest him, trying to overpower his defenses with rapid swings and bites. He swings as fast as he can, throwing caution to the wind.

I may have just gotten strange looks from the office due to the maniacal laugh stemming from that last post, Ariela!

"Pick one! Any one! I'll back you!"

Killian yells, his eyes moving back and forth, scanning the chaos as best he can.

Killian turns back to the man at his northwest, and whips his claws toward the man's face. He lashes out, and snaps his beak shut, trying for a face wound. It snaps shut in front of the man's face, but his claws hit home.

Yes, my apologies. I was looking at the right guy on the map, and that didn't translate over to the post.

Killian hears Ariela cry out for him, and he turns to one of the guards. He approaches with his hands open, palms up.

"Lets try to resolve this peacefully! No one else need be hurt. Lay down your weapon."

When he gets close enough, his hands lash out, clawing at the man's face.

5-ft step to the square north of the guard, and full-round to attack with both claws (Tengu Claws are Primary Natural Attacks).

Claw Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 2 = 11 Well, that's a miss!
Claw Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 4 + 2 = 18

Killian looks concerned, but not surprised. He expected this would end well. He certainly wanted to be wrong, however.

I didn't receive any personally, and roll20 is fine. I can't access it at work (Where I do 90%) of my posting, but I can still move tokens around at home. I use it for a few other games too!

Saturday will be a month since DM NOTY last posted here. Any sign of him from the other games?

NOTY was in three of my games, so it wasn't just this one he disapperaed in. I think giving him another week or so is reasonable. If he doesn't show by then we can talk about GM hunting for those that would like to stay. I'll tag back in then and see what's what.

Oh, yeah, didn't you guys have a trade spots kind of deal? I'm running a recruitment myself right now, so I thought of asking a few people to do that myself. I may still, it's early in the recruitment.

As for DM NOTY, I don't mind waiting. We have a good group here, so hopefully everything will work out.
