It's rather odd how all my M&M superhero games died just at about the same time.

Good to hear that I'm just being pessimistic. The game has promise and I like the characters.

Just want to express a comment on how I see the direction the game is taking and where KA fits into it. Right now it seems to be a breakout. If it succeeds, KA will thank his confederates, and get the hell away from them as fast as possible. They are evidently a bunch of dangerous killers, which is not what he wishes to be, nor associate with (no offense, just how I built the character and his outlook). He will move as far as possible from the U.S. and disappear into some third world nook (hence not playing anymore unless tracked down and apprehended).

I understood this game was about villains when I signed up, so I know what I was getting into. I just decided that in spite of my general dislike for playing villains, Suicide Squad would offer me a chance to play a redemption character. KA was a reluctant villain at best, and had he been offered a slot on the squad, the shot at redemption would have been something he leapt at (rather like Bronze Tiger for example).

To put it simply, I don't play villains, and if this campaigns requires that, I probably shouldn't stick around. A villain trying to redeem himself, I can do, but I don't see that in the cards right now.

Kid just stays hunkered down. These lunatics are going to get me killed. They won't just let me stay either. I'm hosed.

"Yeah, like I figured, they are not going to leave us anything useful.

"I'm not saying you have to or should stay. I'm just saying the damper being off doesn't mean diddly to me, so I'm staying put. I'm not eager to die. Go on ahead. Good luck. "

"I don't know if I want to try running right now. With him out, the probably called in the Justice League or the Titans, and I don't even know where they keep my equipment. Without that, I'm just a normal. Think I'll just keep my head down instead of it getting blown off in the crossfire. "

"Thank you sir. " then he hunches lower hoping to be ignored.

"Umm, right. No offense sir. Thanks for the info. "

"How the hell is he doing all that with the damper up?!?"

Traveling this week. Posting will be spotty.

fort save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 and out go the lights

"What the heck was ... ARGHH!!" <thud>

John will try to find somewhere to hide since he's just a normal human without his equipment.

Overhearing the conversation, as he eats by himself, he breaks with his normal tendencies and walks over "Umm, they had me doing stuff too. I didn't understand it at all. Everything I did could have just been done in an incinerator. "

2 people marked this as a favorite.

I truly love the Horror, he makes the game for me.

Still here. Then again one could describe me as a pbp junkie.

I will be on a trip again starting today with rather limited time to play on the internet. I'll be back online Sunday night. Bot me as needed.

Slow paced will work. I have plenty of games to keep my attention.

Kid will stick to his boring routine leery if the power that be have something odd in mind for him.

On a trip, posting will be sporadic until Sunday evening.

Bot me as needed.

Bodies?!? Crap! Just keep at it. They aren't alive. Maybe the crematorium is on the fritz or something.

John will spend his time reading any reasonably current science books or journals to be found in the prison library.

Rather aghast at the last outburst of the tentacular abomination, John quietly takes his tray to the designated receptacle and clears it off. Then he heads back to his cell.

"Ok, well maybe I need to associate. But right now I think I need to watch. I don't want to make a rash decision. That's what got me into this place. "

Truth be told, I'm waiting for association to be forced via a Task force X mission. He has little enough to offer in the joint without any of his toys.

"Uhh, thanks. I'm John Desmond. I'm not getting out. Ever. I have life. I'm just trying to be ignored so that life lasts a while. No offense, but how can you find anything to trust in here? It's some pretty hard people looks like. That's not even to mention whatever it is that's cooking. "

John perks up at the mention of nanomachines, but only to listen more carefully. He still doesn't wish to become involved in the motley crew.

John gets wide eyed at the presence of such an obviously dangerous prisoner being in a general population. He kind of shrinks into himself and tries to act like he doesn't exist.

John studiously avoids eye contact at all times since it has a way of setting off predators.

He will keep to himself in his corner eating his breakfast while just thinking.

John already understood the food safety regulations, so he just dug into the food anyway. It was just a matter of the limits of quality control.

Looks all kinds of messed up, but he can make good bacon. he thinks to himself as he savors the salty ambrosia.

Seeing the monstrosity which has taken over the kitchen, John scratches cook off his list of possible prison jobs to keep busy.

"Uh, I'll have bacon. " and he grabs a couple hard boiled eggs and looks around for some toast. He then retires to a seat near a corner away from others.

John tries to be as nondescript as possible. Knowing he's soft as tissue paper compared to most of the inmates he's been around, he works very hard to avoid attention which might attract a beating.

You should get gameplay open so we can dot this one.

Reporting for mortality.

Kid Alchemy when not is costume is a fairly normal looking fellow. Average height, brown hair, brown eyes. He looks fairly bright and seems to notice things.

In costume he is in a green suit of apparently soft armor which is also an environmental suit. He carries a glowing rock.

Incarceration is pretty simple- take away his toys and he's just another normal. Maybe he's a very smart normal, but just a normal. Once locked up he stays there.

As he is fully aware of how he screwed up his won life, he just tries to pass the time. He reads a lot and does any of the jobs offered particularly if they allow mind work. He's be a trustee in a normal prison (though given the inmates here, he assiduously avoids ratting anyone out).
