My tails are still crossed. :D

The problem with this waiting is I keep coming up with more ideas for Kichiro. XD

...also noticing errors in my character sheet, so I guess that's a plus.

Likely he's just starting to dig himself out from under the pile of grading.

Ouch, I can only imagine how much work this is on top of finishing a semester. XD You are a brave person, and you have my awe.

Honestly I wouldn't have been surprised if we hadn't heard from you until today, given yesterday was a holiday for certain parts of the world.

*Excitedly notes it's the 20th*
*Keeps tails crossed*

Ah, I hadn't looked at Spheres of Might yet. That would be a possibility. The fact that shapeshifting other than the blank form would lose the bonus would hurt, but I'm honestly probably going to use the blank form more often than not, because a 25-foot-long winged fox with four clawed arms sprouting out of his back should be a terrifying enough combat form. :D I could also grab Blur and/or Decoy from the Illusion sphere for more options.

But I think I will wait until after recruitment is done to decide what to tweak.

Kichiro does have some other methods to avoid getting hit--he can turn himself invisible when he teleports around and make illusory duplicates of himself, and he does have decent HP. Just still nervous about being too squishy.

As I understand it, Wild armor would actually not help me much right now. I get +4 Armor bonus to AC from my mythic path ability, which is the best I could get from light armor (The Wild ability would entirely eat up the enhancement bonus). I suppose if I went for a Wild mithril breastplate it would actually help by 2, which is nothing to sneeze at.

I don't think I can really use a buckler given my natural form and a lot of the forms I'm likely to turn into don't have hands, though. :D

I think you're right about not worrying about it unless I get picked--I doubt my AC number has much bearing on recruitment.

Looking over things I've been realizing again just how terrible Kichiro's AC is for someone whose primary contribution to combat is melee. The trouble is I'm not sure how to improve it further. I've already spent a mythic path ability, a feat, and an ioun stone on AC, and I'm not really sure what more I can do given we're doing ABP.

Oh, and I would like to see your homebrew Star Ball, if you would. Though I'm fine with waiting until after recruitment so you don't have to send the information if I don't get picked.

It certainly seems like you have some hard choices! *crosses tails*

I'm kind of curious about these simulations of yours. :D Is there some party role none of the submissions are covering?

As for your question, I would certainly enjoy working out some details about the Day of Fire and the world before with you! My approach to worldbuilding tends to be to only flesh out what directly affects my character, but I do enjoy coming up with more especially if it's something that will come up later in the campaign.

Ah, thank you! Good thing he has a Bag of Holding. XD

I think I'm done enough now. I still have a bit of gold to spend, but I've just got it earmarked for potions and assorted adornments, so I think that can wait until after recruitment is over to see if I need to specify them or not.

I'm trying to remember... wasn't there an item that was basically like a portable magical mini-fridge? Because Kichiro would definitely have one if such a thing exists.

I haven't got as far along with transfering stuff from my spreadsheet to this alias as I would like, but I think I'm at least 95% done with Kichiro's stats on the spreadsheet now. :D

I realized I didn't answer your question about the Day of Fire. XD I left it vague for two reasons:

1) Kichiro knows of it only through oral history.
2) The kitsune of the Hayashi clan, for all that they liked pranking humans every now and again, held themselves aloof from them in general, and thus were blindsided by the apocalypse.

I was thinking it was a combination of magical and technological catastrophes--think a nuclear war followed by Ragnarok. The only reason anything survived was the sudden return of the sun--perhaps some heroes managed to rescue it from whatever darkness had kidnapped it?

@Monkeygod Awwww, that's too bad. :( It would've been kind of funny to be in another game together (though competition is fierce enough that would have been far from guaranteed even if you'd finished your character).

Anyway, as you can see, I've created an alias for Kichiro. I actually have 80% of his stats worked out in a spreadsheet, in spite of how bare this profile looks. Mostly I just need to pick out equipment for him at this point. Speaking of equipment, it seems that the star ball rules were relegated to a book that doesn't exist yet. :(

Anyway, I hope to finish by tomorrow.
