The Rusty Dragon:
"I had expected a healer, but it appears he's not going to show. I will bear my wounds with grace, friends, and we shall attend to our appointments."

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

The Rusty Dragon:
"Ah, that's right. I suppose they may have been supplies, but I did not trouble its master with their contents."

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

The Rusty Dragon:

"So it appeared to me. But I was somewhat injured at the time, and Vinder won't acknowledge that any such thing happened, so, we are at an impasse regarding that little mystery."

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

The Rusty Dragon:
"That wasn't clear, as whatever 'she' he referred to seemed not to be present." Stretching his limbs, Khravos presses his hands together and bows his head, eyes closing momentarily as he centers himself, finding his focus.

Inn OOC:

Hello? Anyone else in here?

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

The Rusty Dragon:
Khravos sighs. "That's exactly what Miss Kendra asked. We didn't hear a name, only 'SHE' had told the raiders not to kill, or that killing wasn't the objective."

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

The Rusty Dragon:
Khravos displays his more obvious wounds, clean but still only barely closed. "Quite so, to devastating effect." Khravos sits in a medatative pose, preparing to focus his mental energy. "We were on our way in, the goblins attacked us on the road. They subdued Vinder, the actress fled, screaming hysterically, and my companions dispatched the bulk of them while I attempted to save Vinder from their three-armed leader. It seems murder was not on their minds, but instead theft was their goal, as once I was savagely laid flat, the deformed one took a key from Vinder's pocket and fled, citing orders."

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

The Rusty Dragon:
Khravos pulls his spare trousers from his pack and pulls them on before fully stepping out of the small room division to face the Lieutenant. "Yes, as we told the staff at the garrison. We would be more than happy to recount the tale again, if you think it would help. We still can't replace the cargo Master Ven lost in the attack, and the whereabouts of the actress is still unknown to us. Were there specific questions you wanted to ask us?"

Khravos begins stretching and stepping through his kata while waiting for the officer to respond.

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

The Rusty Dragon:
Khravos calls back, "Yes, we are within. Who calls?" Khravos stops scrubbing and emerges from the tub, grabbing a drying cloth from the side table. "Are you the physicker I asked for?"

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

The Rusty Dragon:
Sitting up in the tub, Khravos pauses his vigorous scrubbing to speak over the dividers, "That should be either the boy for my clothes, or the medic for my injuries." He then calls back to the door, "Enter!"

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

The Rusty Dragon:
Khravos takes as much time as he possibly can to soak off the reek of goblin waste. He leaves his clothes as far from the tub, and as close to the door of the room, as possible. Waiting for Savion to finish scrubbing the armor, Khravos calls for the boy. "Take those clothes there and boil them, if you would, young man. Some scented soap will help remove the odor. Lay them by a fire and I will retrieve them later. And please let your mistress know that I expect a physician from Lady Kendra at some point, and to send him up with all haste."

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

Rusty Dragon:
"Indeed. We have just arrived on the road from Sharn, though I come from distant Adar originally." Khravos begins to remove his armor on the spot. "If you have a servant who can steam or scrub the reek from this armor, I could pay accordingly. We have an engagement for dinner, and although the rain has done much to remove the worst of the reek, I fear soap and scent are necessary to finish the job, and if that fails, fire."

Having traveled from Adar to here, would I have seen people of her ethnicity/ethnotype before?

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

Where are we coming from again?

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

The Rusty Dragon:
Khravos will head over to the Rusty Dragon, and ask if the Lady Kendra had informed them of her offer. If so, I would like to get a room and have a healer/physicker/doctor sent up, and I would like a bath in the mean time, and to have my clothes boiled until the stench is gone. Burned if necessary.

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

The Garrison:

"If it is all the same to the rest of you, I wish to celebrate first of all with a bath. And then possibly some bandages. Lady Kendra, do you have any recommendation as to where we should seek our lodging for the duration?"

RPG Superstar 2013 Top 32

The Garrison:
Khravos shrugs. "He did not explain. A female of some species influential enough to stay a goblin's appetite for slaughter." Catching himself, he looks to Daxur. "Apologies, friend. I mean... wild goblins." Adding reflectively, "I think."

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

The Garrison:
Khravos interjects, "The three-armed goblin also mentioned that 'she' told him not to kill us. It was unclear who that referred to. I think at least one of the goblins was female, but didn't seem to me to be in charge. But I do not know their ways, and could be mistaken."

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

The Garrison:
"More than possible, my lady. That foul odor I apologize for is the reek he left on me after he struck me down. I thought it unusual, but could not be sure that wasn't normal for this region of the world. I have not been here before, and have come to expect life to appear in a wide and unpredictable variety. He had three arms and each held a weapon. He fought like a demon. And I will need some time to recover once you have heard all you need from us."

Likewise.

A Memory From My Childhood Home:

The village always seemed to Khravos to flow down the mountain toward the lake. The positions of the houses higher up seemed to turn the eye to the next houses down the slope, and so on down to the Dreaming Pool. It was the center of their lives, and the center of the mountain village. Each villager emerging from his house would see the Dreaming Pool first of all. It dominated Khravos’s awareness throughout his childhood. “It’s where the Dreamfolk live,” his mother told him. The Quori, whom they were pledged to give physical form, to host in this world. Each man and woman in his village was bonded to a quori, the Dreamers who came through from the mystic waters of the lake. On everyone’s thirteenth year, their time of Joining would come. They would go into the Dreaming Pool as children, and emerge as men or women. Changed forever with the gift of bonding, now become living, wandering dreams, true Kalashtar.

Garrison:

"My name is Khravos Vortensis, Miss Kendra, but you may call me Khravos." Looking to Daxur and #3, as an aside, "Should we not make sure that the actress arrived safely in town?"

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

Pony Pals:

Confused, Khravos looks from Ven to Daxur and back again. "I apologize, Master Ven, if you've forgotten, but you had a key in your pocket. The disfigured goblin said that "she" gave him orders not to kill, but he seemed quite sure where to find it. I understand the need for secrecy on some matters, but it might benefit you to confide in those of us who shared this experience with you."

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

Team Pony:

Khravos scratches his throat pensively. "Hm. I suppose it would. Though it could only be a force for defense, not aggression. One truly trained in our way must realize that the true aim of learning to fight is so that one does not have to fight."
Khravos keeps a safe distance from Daxur and Three, in case either of them is offended by his smell, while loosening his armor to allow it and his clothes to dry.

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

Team Pony:

"The Broken Blade is one of the many disciplines we are taught in the monastery. I studied under Grand Master Skrahvis, who also was master of the Thrashing Dragon. He taught me much. I follow in his light."

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

Wagon:
Khravos considers the weapon on his forearm, nods to Engineer #3. Following along, looking back to make sure Daxur can guide the beast successfully.

"We of the Broken Blade learn to fight with a minimum of weaponry. The short blade and secure grip of the scizore makes the weapon more a natural extension of the hand, and enables us to use it as a shield when needed as well. Fighting unarmed we use our arms to block. When your opponent is slicing down with a blade, armor... helps."

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

Khravos:
Brought back to the present by Engineer #3's words, Khravos surveys the scene of the battle around him. Looking off into the woods, he pauses, considering whether to go in search of the chakram or not. Deciding to let it go, he reaches down to lift Ven up, slinging him over his shoulder and walking back to the group, face once more composed into an emotionless mask.

"I see no need to linger here."

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

vs Three-Armed Goblin:
Khravos looks at the stench soaking into his clothes, covering his armor and skin... gagging and wretching... he stands, the freak disappearing into the woods. Khravos rises slowly to his feet, staring off into the woods where he last saw the goblin. As he rises, his teeth grind, his face going red as he takes the steel hoop from its holder at his belt. A low growl starts in the back of his throat as he rises, and when he stands it becomes a roar, Khravos taking two steps and hurling the chakram with all his might. "NGRARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNHH!" The chakram goes wild, spinning through the brush, cutting down saplings and small branches on its wild path into the weeds. Khravos stands, panting and sweating as he stares off into the woods.

Khravos stands up.

Vs Three-Armed-Goblin:

Flinching at the sudden pain, Khravos stumbles a moment before regaining his balance. Focusing his pain into power, Khravos wades back into the fray, deflecting the many arms as he closes to strike... feigning with the scizore, he misses deliberately, allowing his momentum to add weight to a spinning kick, aimed at the misshapen fiend's head. Landing from the spin, Khravos now drives the scizore down hard on the shorter opponent, letting out a loud "KAH!" with the strike, hoping to drive the freak to its knees.

Vs Three-armed Goblin:

Taking advantage of the goblin freak's surprise, Khravos presses the advantage. He calms his breathing, feeling his body at one with the weapon, the scizore not a device but an extension of his own arm. Flowing easily into the next step of the kata, Khravos drives his scizore into the center mass of his opponent.

Wagon Party:

Standing up and looking behind at the source of the explosion, Khravos assists any others who may be still down, asking Ven, "I regret the loss of your cargo, Master Vindor. Khravos's action:
The air around Khravos is filled with a low bass hum which builds in seconds to a crescendo, stirring the air around him with an uneasy vibration. It seems the blade of the scizore shivers slightly as the sound fades almost as soon as it began. I need some information about the wagon. Is it obvious what kind of goods it's carrying? How many horses are pulling it? And to be clear, the goblins are between us and Sandpoint, correct?

Also, I can't get to FB from work, just FYI.

I'm operating under the assumption that Khravos maintains psionic focus at all times until he expends it, but that he must take a standard action to put on his scizore.

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

Responding thoughtfully, Khravos explains, "Oh, I was just carrying that thought forward to its implications. If one must accept being..." Looking up, Khravos sees the icy glare in the actress's eyes. "Er... was that poorly said?" Meekly, Khravos returns his gaze to the horizon.

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

Taking care to step over the glob of spit Ven left in the road, Khravos says, "Of course, that means that those destined to obscurity must accept that as well."

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

Khravos, walking beside the wagon, asks the actress, "Is this not an adventure? We travel forward, unsure what the next bend may conceal. This road or another, all the expanse ahead conceals adventure. Your cousin only traveled a different road."

Male Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker)/1 HP: 30/30 RHP: 5/30 Power Points: 4/5

Khravos laughs quietly at Three's literal address of the question asked, and keeps his eyes alert on the horizon ahead.

I know you said a paragraph, but I kinda kept filling in details. I didn't want to be too cursory in the circumstances, and I still felt like I breezed over it too vaguely. I have added it to my profile.

Also, I can't get to FB from work, but other than that, I'm OK with it. Or a G+ group, or an email distro. I can get email from work.

ETA: And I'm ready.

Spoiler:

Khravos had spent most of the day wandering through the city, and was on his way out of the teeming metropolis, having seen many strange sights for the first time in his life. His calm center set him apart, and made him an impassive observer in this world of turmoil.

In a merchant stall near the gate on the northern edge of the city, he spotted a scuffle. A whim made him investigate. A merchant was beating a human child, Khravos could not discern boy or girl through the rags it wore. Stepping closer, Khravos stopped the merchant's arm in its path to deliver a stinging blow to the child's shoulders. Astonished, the merchant turned to face Khravos. "What do you want?" He shouted in Khravos's face.

"I think whatever lesson you seek to impart, the child has learned," Khravos responded evenly. The child flinched away from the interrupted blow, slipping out of sight and back into the moving throng of people.

The merchant glared at Khravos. "You let that thief get away! I'll have you arrested for robbery!"

"It cannot be robbery if I pay for what was taken, can it?" Khravos smiled at the simple solution. The merchant grabbed Khravos by the arm before he could withdraw the coins.

"The hells it won't! GUARD!" Khravos was astonished that the merchant was pushing the issue past its obvious solution. He felt his blood race. Getting arrested in the first city he passed through on his way out of the monastery would send him home in shame. His muscles started to shake.

"I said... I'd pay!" He reversed the hold the merchant had on him, and twisted the fat arm back, sending the merchant to his knees. The merchant only increased his howls and calls for help. Khravos used his free hand to slip coins from his pouch onto the merchant's table. "The cost is paid!" As the shaking took over his body, he heard the cracking of the merchant's wrist. The cries for help became screams of pain and Khravos pushed the man back. He reached down and covered his mouth, causing the cries to become whimpers. His free hand pummeled the man until the whimpers stopped entirely. Khravos felt a horrible shaking in his body and ran, seeing nothing but a haze as he fled out the gates of the city, running far along the road and into the hills. He felt his body shuddering in odd uncontrollable ways, and when he finally stopped, it was with horror and revulsion that he was able to identify what caused the shuddering tremors.

Khravos was laughing.

my DNPC:

Phannel Zerrah:
female half-orc Expert (artist)
Phannel works in sculpture using cast off materials, creating works of exceptional beauty. This juxtaposition captured Khravos's attention soon after his arrival in Breland. She is rugged in appearance, with braided blonde hair and brown eyes, and many tattoos along her arms and over her back. She wears tailored clothing and a gold amulet. Phannel is fascinated by magic and arcana. (Possible hook: Phannel hopes to market her wares at the Sandpoint Festival.)

I made a chart. My relationships are:
Traveling companions with Daxur and Engineer 3 on road to Sandpoint.
Mutual interest in Engineer 3 pertaining to Psionics and dreams.
Fascinated by person-ness of Engineer 3.

No connection yet to Garrick, Satinder, or Watches-Shadows.

Khravos, can you put yours into the template I put up? I noticed it's mostly done.

It's mostly in, just have to mess with a few fiddly bits and make sure I'm not forgetting something. I used Hero Lab (with the Eberron community data pack). It got almost everything, but didn't let me add a racial stat bonus, so I had to force that. Also didn't have the optional favored class bonus, so I have to figure out how it added my PSPs.

I also should spend a little more of that cash. I need a ranged weapon. What are those circular blade boomerangs called?

Other than that, I'm ready to roll.

I'm Chris, and this will be my first PBP, but I've been writing all my life, so I'm hoping the skills translate.

RPG Superstar 2013 Top 32

If you had to list a class (yes it can change) what is your starting class and race for your character?

Kalashtar Psychic Warrior (Pathwalker).

Do you plan on multi-classing? Prestige classes?

Will probably go strictly one-class, unless something piques my interest later. A dip into Aegis might be fun at some point.

What're you drinking for New Years? And what's your character drinking?

Chris will be drinking a glass of one or more of four aged single malt Scotches. Khravos will drink water, as he had a single bad experience with alcohol almost immediately after leaving the monastery. We don't talk about it.

What does your character lie about?

Spoiler:

Khravos will never admit to feeling rage. In his training, serenity and peace were the most valued ideals, and he was expected to be able to completely rid his soul of rage and hate. However, to his shame, Khravos still finds himself unable to feel calm before certain confrontations. He struggles to submerge it, but to admit feeling it would be to him like admitting he failed as a student.

What is your defining strength?

Spoiler:

Khravos has spent his life unifying body and will, and considers his ability to temper power with mercy his most valued strength.

What is your motto?

Spoiler:

Strength through serenity.

What is your most treasured possession?

Spoiler:

Khravos left the monastery with nothing but his clothes and simple weapons of self-defense. His training discourages him from placing value on material possessions, but he still values a simple token he received from the first human who treated him as a friend. This is an iron figurine of a castle etched into the side of a cliff. It reminds him of his home, and also of the people he has met on his travels, and he takes it out when he meditates.
