![]() What it ends up being is more about ease of play. The easier the class is, the "more powerful" it is, as it doesn't take as much work to make it great. This means classes like Fighter, Wizard, Cleric, Druid and a couple of others, which are mostly straightforward, are powerful even if the player doesn't know how to utilize the class properly, really most of the classes in the Core Rule Book with the exception of like the Monk are in the "easy to play" tier. The other splat book classes move more into the "hard to play" tier, they're really really powerful, but they take some knowledge to make work well. However, Barbarian is one of the lower end of the Full BAB classes. Of course, this is all my opinion. ![]()
![]() I'm considering multiclassing to Buccaneer in our Skulls & Shackles game (hooray ARG!) So, I have a feat related question: Amateur Gunslinger states that I get the grit and a single 1st level Gunslinger Deed, for now, we say I chose quick clear. Now, in a few levels I multiclass to Buccaneer, which the feat then changes to "Extra Grit", as I'm now a Gunslinger. Would I just lose the deed (quick clear?) The feat doesn't go into detail what it does for non-standard Gunslingers... ![]()
![]() See, I'm under the impression that they CAN, and it's in the "Alchemy" section, involving their extracts, and item usage: Quote:
This seems like it would even be extended to feats as well, especially when you include that last sentence. ![]()
![]() (This is actually Joseph, just changed my posting name) while it's true having an open off hand is better for a magus, I'm a Kensai and already have a diminished pool, and during the adventure last night I needed a bludgeoning weapon available to deal with some skeletons. Having an alternate damage type available allows me to be more versatile with my attacks. I'm considering getting "Improved Unarmed Strike" so I don't even need a weapon (and get an amulet of mighty fists with agile for my unarmed attacks, but this is just a preliminary concept) |
