After hearing what the items do, Katrin dons the crown and hides away the holy symbol. She says the command word and makes the circlet disguise her as a man. A man who could be her twin brother, tall, blonde, and strong. Her grin is absolutely devious. "Ah, finally a way to avoid the fickle cards that fate has dealt me. Now that I've rid myself of most of the prejudice against me, I just need a magical way to stop my moon blood." Her tone lets everyone know it's a joke. In fact, it's the first time she's said anything without pure ice in her voice.

"I guess I should have asked this before I signed, but what happens if we break the contract? I'm sure a horde of devils will come tear us to shreds, or that we'll shrivel painfully away into a puddle of goo, right?" Katrin asks cooly. "If there is that kind of mojo behind the Third Loyalty I'm most likely willing to let you 'join your mind to mine'. I still need to know what that means first though."

Katrin nods, slits a small cut in her palm and allows the blood to pool there before dipping the quill and signing her name with a flourish.

Katrin says after reading it over. "I will require instructions on how to venerate Asmodeus, I'm rather ignorant of his faith's creed."

Doesn't sound bad so far, but lets see what the others ask him first... Katrin stays silent for the time being, her face betraying nothing of her thoughts, her arms crossed over her chest.

Katrin will stow her glaive and longsword and then dress in an undyed grey wool tunic and breeches, with plain sturdy leather boots. She puts her chain shirt back on and straps a dagger to her belt before making her way downstairs.

Honestly Cinder, Katrin's the same way. The fact that you met her hail with a death threat didn't help any. You are however the only other woman, which makes you already better than all the others in Katrin's book.

This lot's even more f*cked in the head than I am. Katrin thinks, looking around the collection of Asmodean servants topped off by a still bloody animate corpse. Still, they are better than Mitrans. At least no one is trying to lock me up and behead me. When the slaves enter she smiles. Her noble breeding takes over as she addresses her assigned slave, "Yes, quickly now. A bath is most urgently desired." She follows the slave, relishing in having someone who does what she says without comment or argument. Once in her room she waits for the slave to bathe her and present her with new clothes.

The blade of the glaive slowly lowers. Katrin gives Cinder a nod as way of apology and then says, "That was the idea. Thanks." to Tiadora. "Who wants to tell me of this Dark Prince you all keep muttering about? His ways weren't included in the tutoring at my father's manor. I know him only as the devil, the great evil 'other'. I'm grateful for the rescue, but would know more before I sign my soul away."

"That doesn't sound like something a Mitran would say. Who're you b*tch?" Katrin asks cooly, not dropping her glaive. The light of Cinder's lantern reveals her to stand six feet five inches tall, with a voluptuous well muscled frame. She has thick platinum blonde/white hair and large ice blue eyes. Her skin is flawless and her expression as cold as ice. She's dressed in a chain shirt over peasant's clothing, both her and the glaive are covered in dried blood.

Rather than waiting any longer for her silent companion to reply, Katrin just grunts and makes her way to the door of the building. Seeing others approaching through the mist she hefts her glaive. "Who goes there?" She calls out towards them.

Hi guys! Hopefully this new group can get started with less infighting and PC on PC death threats than the last one. We made an OOC agreement not to threaten each other, because it made the RP no fun for anyone and almost caused the game to end. So can we all agree to stick with that, even though it might not be 100% in character for our evil evil people?

We haven't heard from Darsis in a month, we haven't heard from Gunter in two, it's coming up on two weeks since we've heard anything from Mavro as well. It seems like me an Taemon'dow are the only ones really left playing this game, and two does not a party make. I'd like to either see some new blood brought in, and more frequent descriptive posts from the DM, or I'm probably going to drop out of this and go looking for another WoTW game.

I'd drop now, but I want to give it one more chance to get better before I depart.

"Agreed, Taemon'dow. The house will work, any guards left are probably terrified of us by now. We must show caution when approaching these new 'friends' but we do owe them at least some small debt for freeing us. I'll hear what they have to say."

"Finally freedom. Now where were we supposed to go to meet your contact Taemon?" Katrin asks as she begins to walk across the bridge. She rips anything that could link them visually to Branderscar from her person and does her best to look like just some normal warrior woman or guard.

Honestly I'd say this game is still a few steps from the grave due to the slow pacing, but if you want to add more blood, he should conform to the timeline he's joining. Either we find him in a cell, or we find him outside if we're not going to pass any more cells on our way out.

Seeing the guard fall, Katrin continues around the top of the wall towards the gate keep. When she reaches the first guard tower she will pause to wait for the others.

Any access points on the next tower at battlements level? Doors, windows, etc?

Katrin also pulls out her bow, and sends a shaft sailing over towards the alert guard. "Hope he dies quick!" she says to no one in particular. Her arrow goes sailing harmlessly over the guard's head. She grumbles under her breath before reaching for another shaft.

I was planning on following the red line that I drew on the map there. Where is this guard? The whole keep isn't really that big if each square is 5'. He could easily see us unless he's on the opposite side or something.

"Whatever, lets just keep moving." Katrin dresses as much as possible like a guard, to fool anyone observing from far away. Then she goes down to the second story window and exits onto the west side battlements after everyone else has gathered.

Thinking we just go clockwise around the walls, clearing the other two towers and then we can clear the gate keep on our way out.
