Hello, hello, hello. Or as we say in Hell, May the fires burn forever.
I will have my character profile updated with the statblock for Coal, my red and black iguana familiar, tonight.
Artorius Pavo
Glad to be hear and glad to get a chance to play a revised version of this character. I need to make a few adjustments to background and story as well as the level up, but I hope to have that complete by today.
Taemon'dow
Welcome aboard. What do we have now? I'm an Anti-Paladin, and Katrin is a Barbarian; looks like our new crew include a Witch for some arcane, an an evil cleric for divine (and instant Inflicts are great by my measure, as I'm a Dhampir), a sorcerer psy fire wielder, and a psy warrior type. looks like an interesting crew, with most of the bases covered. We could use a rogue/skill monkey, but we can live without.
GM, it appears our new comrades are level 2; were we supposed to level ourselves as well?
Artorius Pavo
DM, did you want me to worship Asmodeus for my powers (even though he doesn't technically have the Undead domain) or do you want me to instead also worship Ruzel, one of the Infernal Dukes?
Ruzel (Deity)
Alignment: Lawful evil
Portfolio: Blasphemy , Humor , Undeath
Domains: Death, Evil, Law, Trickery
Favored: Weapon Longsword
Little is known, and much needs to be discovered, about the infernal duke named Ruzel.
Henar the Cunning
Definitely witch with some arcane. Deception patron, so there's a good deal of misdirection & fun stuff to be had. I also have a few blasty spells to give us a leg up (cause you always need a few blasty spell).
Also, I've got the majority of knowledge skills done as well.
cosmiy
Yeah, you original guys will level up to level 2. I was going to tell you when your characters had a chance to relax for a day or two and go to sleep. After this we'll actually be tracking XP, so generally you guys can level up anytime you have downtime and enough XP. But since there's really no combat from then and now, you can just do it now if you'd like.
Henar: I'll send you a PM right after this describing the interior of the house.
Artorius: Ruzel works, and worshiping the Infernal Dukes was part of the Asmodean faith when it was more popular.
Everyone Else: If you're approaching the house you guys can post right now.

Rolling for hitpoints here, I guess. Or can we take average?
Also, does anyone know... If I have elemental resistance from two different (types of) sources, do the resistances stack? I think one is racial (or extraordinary), and the other is supernatural.
EDIT: Oops, I saw the GM already answered this one for me. Sorry about that. I still need to pick my traditional trait.

1d6 ⇒ 1
Is Volatile Conduit (Ultimate Campaign, pg 58) acceptable as a traditional trait?
Once per day, as a free action, when she casts a spell that deals acid, cold, electricity, or fire damage, Cinders can enhance the spell to deal an additional 1d4 damage of the same energy type.

Hi guys! Hopefully this new group can get started with less infighting and PC on PC death threats than the last one. We made an OOC agreement not to threaten each other, because it made the RP no fun for anyone and almost caused the game to end. So can we all agree to stick with that, even though it might not be 100% in character for our evil evil people?
El'la "Cinders" Scaldrein
If the rest of the group are as devoted to Asmodeus as most of us are, I'm sure we'll get along. Infighting is, unfortunately a part of being evil.... lol. But being lawful or neutral is more likely to have that infighting manifest as secret plots rather than outright threats. Plots which would take a long time to bring to fruition.
Not that I intend to bring such plots with me, but I will certainly be expecting them.

The newcomers either escaped before they got to Branderscar, whether they were on the way to the prison, or before they were about to be arrested. They were contacted by Tiadora, who gave them minor aid (telling them before they were about to be arrested, giving them minor things to help escape)and told them of their destination.
Finding other people outside of the prison wasn't the ideal situation for Tiadora and her master, but they also pretty much knew that not everyone would escape the prison. I guess that the explanation of where everyone else went is that they're dead, or just hung behind in the prison for who knows what reason.
Also, I am glad we're getting this infighting thing figured out now, it really did almost kill the past group.

I built using some of the knowledge from my brief play of WotW in the other campaign I was in (only just got out of the cell) to come up with a plausible backstory. Since I did have the encounter with tiadora in my campaign, I just moved that to her visiting me after the trial and smuggling me a skeleton key to my manacles.
I had a storm detour my prison carriage via thunder/lightning spooking the horses and the like. I look forward playing with you five.

So I made this character to be a Vitalist with the Soulthief method. After looking at the archetypes, I wonder if a Sadist+Life Leech might be a stylistically more interesting choice for an evil character. It would only mean a couple minor tweaks at this level, but would make it a different way of playing at later levels.
I just thought I would get the point of view of the members of the party as well as run this past Cosmiy to see if he would let me rework my character a little here before the action starts. Obviously I would keep race, class, etc. etc.
Here is the SRD on Vitalist, http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/vitalist
Basically it means bringing people into the network and then sucking them dry instead of simply "attacking" them.
Artorius Pavo
Reading over it, going Sadist+life Leech drastically changes the style and abilities of the character. Sadist+Life leech is far less "Party friendly" and being in the "collective" is less appealing.
I'd be fine however you decide to go, though I personally think they would likely have large impact on your character and create two very different personality types / relationships with the party members.
Kaythor
Oh either way I would only benefit the party. One way I would have to use unwilling participant to get the baddies in the network before sucking them dry. The current way I just use steal health directly.
If you guys want me to keep it as is though, that's just fine with me.
Kaythor
I think I am going to switch to Sadist+Life Leech. Don't worry though, I have no intentions of using it to hurt the party in any way. It really is just a slightly different way of playing the character. I will still be healing "us" and hurting "them". I think it has nice flavor to it though and some of the tricks I will be picking up will be much more useful since we do have a cleric in the party as well.
Just trust me, you will all be fans ;)
Artorius Pavo
Whatever will make you most happy with your character I say go for it, but I just want to remind you that my character does not function like the typical cleric.
Remember that Artorius is a negative energy cleric. I can not spontaneously sub out a spell for healing and I cannot release positive energy to heal the party (Unless you are healed by negative energy)

I am eager to meet our mysterious benefactor. I imagine things are a bit more tricky for our DM here than usual, given that the majority of us did not have the chance provided by mutual incarceration and escape from Branderscar to bond and form an alliance with each other.
The faith of Asmodeus should help bring together some, though i'll work toward uniting all together should it be necessary. (I believe everyone, save Katrin worships or owes a debt to Asmodeus in some form or another. Correct me if I am wrong.)
El'la "Cinders" Scaldrein
Having been betrayed by both her family and her mentors, Cinders finds it difficult to trust anyone, especially those who are aggressive towards her. (Sorry Katrin). However, as her priest-friend once told her, Asmodeus uses all.
Katrin Whitebranch
Honestly Cinder, Katrin's the same way. The fact that you met her hail with a death threat didn't help any. You are however the only other woman, which makes you already better than all the others in Katrin's book.

I posted my character signing the contact. Apologies I didn't have a chance to do a post I would have been satisfied with over the weekend. It looks like you are still waiting for Taemon'dow to post as well, but if it held anyone up I am sorry.
