Hellion works her neck a bit then heads over to the old school computer and clacks at the keys to bring up a request to call with the boss. "Can't believe this thing hasn't been updated. Kinda miss the professors gear heh."

rumor is about 3 days starting sometime today, with the smarts roll from earlier do I get the feeling the seller is saying they need to be acquired/assembled/moved or what's up with that.

Cause one vibe was, he's onto us or gonna do something, the other is he literally just needs to get the wares first

Hellion gives a sore suck in through the side of her teeth and looks at Vee, "Told ya we'd have to do small time deals first. How about this, two repulsor fields, a plasma launcher, and one of those heavy blasters they used to have to swat 'big' problems out of the sky with?"

Sorry it's been a truely messed up week since Thursday, and the rest of the month is gonna be equally forked(yay october being my GO month) Hellion always has her weapon on her, sheathed unless it needs to be drawn for combat. Meaning I get all the usual defensive stuff(except the extra parry because I'm not using it currently)

"The big blasters, Armor refits, Vehicles if you've got one. We obviously don't have to do the entire deal right now, but we're looking for the Big haul. Gotta get it while the gettin's good so that we don't fall behind when society decides to get it's feet back under itself proper."

A different kettle of fish: PC attrition seems to have left us as a group that, except of Fortune's super sorcery, is mostly tough combat types. I could.. maybe think of a sidekick(I assume the player also plays the sidekick it's not just like a gm pet thing) and also assuming it gets like powers and stuff. Hellion out of everyone except fortune, might have the best background to pull 'minions' from.

With a sigh she kicks one foot over the other shifting uncomfortably in the chair she'd taken while they healed up. "I'm good just charging in the ffront with you big guy. Fortune and Angel you should probably just enter from the high ground. But like.. angel, we've gotta talk about this non-violence thing. These people are Trying very hard to kill us. Stop pulling your punches to be 'nice'. "

Hellion will stick to Vee since they work well together, also she's got enough movement options to reposition with hardly any issues barring line of sight. Also some rp for drama regarding Angel's hindrancr

I think every 5 hours seems fine a day is 24hours and 5 hours is roughly a factor of 5 cut like with how the power tends to work normally. Haven't had a chance to look at natural healing rules which is why I'd been absent on that, thanks for the heal Fortune.

Hellion frowns a bit, "Thanks, Fortune. I uh.. well never knew my mom myself."

She waved her hand and spoke through a cough, "You know how netherspawn are." She quickly grabs her blade and stands after she moves away. "Don't even want to get into the my 'dads' situation. Heh."

Sliding the sword back into it's sheath she does some warm up stretches to make sure the flesh won't tear again. When that's all good she waits for the others to signal that they themselves are good to go.

Hellion looks to be struggling in her decision for several moments. Bites her lip enough to make it bleed and then sheathes her blade. "We need you alive more than dead right now, just know you'll be behind bars after this... or dead if you try to double cross us."

Fortune is right, there are other things with the system that slow it down that I hinted at with the Dynamism comment. I can't belt out all the things that make SW particularly bad on PbP.

Like Fortune stated there are just things that can't be assumed and simplified, such as soaking among other things. Which works only to further bog things down. Terrible luck with dice combined with having to redraw initiative every round can be handled much faster irl because something that would take 30-40 seconds to resolve there takes an entire post which depending on free tine for the gm could take a couple minutes or better than an hour/day etc.

I mentioned that SW is supposed to be fast-paced action combat oriented, and that's naturally going to struggle in pbp. Pf and such has that issue too, but like fast paced combat isn't the pull of the PF system for example. So despite both suffering slow-down on pbp one's vibes suffer far worse than the other.

Since PF's init doesn't reroll every round you can essentially condense things into baddies/party. Which for the most part you've done here as well, but since the order of things shifts every round it's not quote so clean cut.

I could likely write an essay on ither issues with SW as a whole but that's off in the weeds with thibgs that are mostly just personal gripes among other things.

Hellion seethes her own wounds burning as the adrenal burst begins to wear thin, though her own demonic flesh does seem to be responding well to the damage and the bleeding has mostly stopped.

I like the Idea of a weird west sort of vibe(if i'm understanding what Deadlands is supposed to be), but again SW just.. doesn't work well in pbp

Passing myself, partially because I'm not sure SW really hits right on PBP and the other part because I don't wanna get the deadlands books lol.

I'm hoping that SF2 is like a major improvement cause man SF1 has some really neat ideas but most of them flop because none of the 'cool stuff' unlocks till you're level 7 which on most paizo boards is a good 15 years of effort lmao

Sorry for the delay been a bit consumed by Foxhole and Darktide as brain bleach for the last 2 weeks of crapfest at work.

Not really sure how to extrapolate on your thoughts Zen, but I've been trying stuff beyond just normal attacks to try and help get this done with, my dice just hate me apparently lol.
It's one of those things that shows that the system really isn't built to handle Pbp speeds.

Leaning further into the dodge away from the gang leader Hellion kicks off again continuing to move with unnatural speed towards the other gangers.
She skids to a halt behind Ganger 2 while Angel is dealing with the other and stabs at him.

Free attack from lead again, reminder when Hellion leaps(how she's skirting around the battlefield rn) she imposes a relative speed penalty of -1 on enemies

Remember you can always choose nonlethal as well it just gives a -1. Not sure how that functions with ranged power attacks, but I almost bet there's a modifier or it could be flavored as more of a stunning effect than like. Shooting a beam of molten cosmic energy through someone.

The d6 is part of my normal damage, longsword does str+1d8, but my Melee Attack power(which is tied onto my sword) is Str+d6 and i get an additional +1 because it's my trademark weapon. So it combines into Str(1d8)+1d8+1d6+1 as per the writing in the Super powers book(strength doesn't get doubled up). So the total damage to the gauntlet is 13 which like Fortune said is enough to break anything listed in the core book so the fact that it only 'dented' the gauntlet is kind of insane.

Also just noticing that all the gangers are getting wild dice, which means they're ALL wild cards and thus have multiple wounds.

Soak: 1d10 ⇒ 9 Raise, so soak 2 wounds leaving me with 1 and shaken, will wait for new round to do further

I didn't realize I got an ace(super tired yesterday still), but after looking at it, disarms don't get any ace/exploding benefits so the only thing it would change I believe is if it hit or not.

A little confused on the disarm rules cause it says I can either hit the object or the limb and that all changes stuff. I'm not sure if it'd be hitting the object or the limb in this case, cause like.. disarming a limb sounds more like chopping off a claw of a monster or something rather than disarming a power fist. Either way rules are split between page 99 and 100 for reference.
