Subject: Renewal "bug" -- Paizo Order #704537

Dear Paizo:

I renewed a subscription to Dungeon Magazine on February 3. Unfortunately, despite the credit card being charged, I'm still receiving renewal notices and my account reports that the subscription has expired. FYI, the problem recurs each time I renew a Dragon or Dungeon subscription (I think this makes the fifth time since January 2005).

The first time it occurred, Jeff Alvarez fixed the subscription. A year ago, Vic Wertz fixed it and provided a bit more insight. He said that "the subscription is just fine, and there will be no interruption in service. Our system makes a distinction between purchaser and recipient, and when you purchase a subscription for another person, it doesn't show up as your subscription—it shows up as theirs. I have reset it to show up as yours." That sounds pretty comforting, but last fall, I actually missed an issue of Dragon. When I wrote to Paizo, a customer service rep (can't locate the e-mail for the exact name) told me that there wasn't any trouble with my subscription, and that I had just renewed too late. (Given the past history, not sure I'm all that confident in that last explanation.)

To sum up, I'm still anxious about purchasing renewals and actually getting them.

First of all, could you guys please check the subscription and ensure there is no interruption in service?

Secondly, can you investigate this technical issue? Perhaps you can recommend a solution? Any advice on approaching my next renewal for Dragon in the fall?

Thanks for considering my e-mail!

Sincerely,
Karl-Heinz Roseman

Dear Paizo:

Can you please take a look at a DUNGEON subscription? I renewed online, but my account is still saying "expired." I have had similar trouble in the past, and could use your help straightening this out.

* On 2/8/06, I added 12 issues of DUNGEON via Paizo.com
* On 2/10/06, my credit card was charged $38.95
* As of 3/8/06, my account still says DUNGEON is expired

The subscription ships to Z. Roseman, zip 28607-9372.

Thanks for your consideration!

Sincerely,
KHR

Dear Jeff,

Many thanks for you reply. The forthcoming issues are showing on my account now, so it looks like all is in order. I appreciate the assistance!

Sincerely,
Karl-Heinz

There seems to be some trouble with my DUNGEON subscription renewal. I have inquired by e-mail on 3/9, 3/15, and 3/23 but have received no response. Can someone here kindly post back or e-mail me at kroseman@apptechnc.net?

Just to sum up, I renewed my DUNGEON subscription online on January 31 and my Visa was charged $38.95. Yet, I continue to receive renewal notices. My account, if viewed online, says I have zero issues remaining. Also, I received two copies of issue #121.

Thanks for considering my post.

Sincerely,
Karl-Heinz Roseman
